Tuchel had said from the start that they really needed a defender and indeed the rumors about Fofana had started from the start but the negotiations were quite tough which made them unable to do this long ago because the price set by Leicester was quite large.
Thankfully they were able to find an agreement here because indeed if you look at the current Fofana it might indeed be used as something good enough to fill the void in Chelsea's defense.

Son Heung-min was outstanding last season for Tottenham but I don't think he will stand a chance for the Ballon d'Or against top favorites like Benzema and Lewandowski whose performances last season was far above that of Son. I hope the selection of the best candidate to win the Ballon d'Or will be done without bias unlike the previous one given to Messi when Lewandowski deserved it more. Benzema deserves to win the Ballon d'Or this time around.

The "best footballer in the world" doesn't mean that he was ever the best person to hire for a job neither. Would ANY team in the world be grateful to have Ronaldo? Of course they would, there is no denying that Ronaldo would be cheered by the fans and would be seen as the best news all summer WHEREVER he goes.

But at the same time, we all know that he is an alpha dog which means that he would be paid more than any player in the team and he will request it, and he will act as if he is the best, and you can't do that even if you are the best. Messi is the best for some people and never seen Messi act to other people as they are bad and yell at them ever before, Ronaldo does. So Ronaldo could be amazing, but he is not easy to deal with, that's the problem.

I also confirmed the news on Fabrizio's page this evening that a deal between both clubs (Chelsea & Leicester City) has already been agreed, a deal worth around £70m which is a lot of money for a young player with little number of caps under his belt but Chelsea know what they want and if they think he is worth the price then who am I to disapprove. Two games on the bench is certainly not something that ronaldo can accept at the moment, I think it's better for ronaldo to go to another club than he is just a spectator at the moment, two wins that Ten Hag got in two games without ronaldo it seems indicates that if Ten Hag doesn't need Ronaldo anymore, actually releasing Ronaldo is a big loss because after all we all know the quality that Ronaldo has had all this time, but if Ten Hag relationship with Ronaldo starts to bad, of course releasing Ronaldo is the right solution for Ten Hag so as not to cause polemics in the Manchester squad later.

The price is abusive as we discussed previously but Chelsea needs him and they don't seem to have a lot of choices.
For the Maguire example, I hope Fofana and any other players to not do like him. Dunno how a very expensive player ends up as a joke. I sometimes wonder if there isn't something wrong with his concentration / brain.

I think Roberto Firmino has served Liverpool well enough. And both should part ways from here on. From this point, things cannot go well between both of these.
