Hearing this news, it seems that Ten Hag is starting to build a strong defense again and this is a good start because Ten Hag is aware that Man United only has problems in the defense line and still has a more stable attack line. Juanlu Sánchez is still young and Ten Hag may see the talent that the player has in being improved and currently Man United is trying to make an offer to Sevilla. Do you think this will just be a rumor or will Sevilla still release Juanlu Sánchez?

https://dailypost.ng/2024/09/08/epl-arteta-reportedly-ended-arsenals-interest-in-osimhen-after-public-spat-with-finidi/

I am glad that Victor Osimhen finally secured a club after all the delays and tensions. Seeing this headline today, I think it is worth discussing because it has some lessons. To be a successful player, talent is not enough, character is more important. Victor made some mistakes that affected his transfer, he has anger management issues. His unguided comments about some coaches he has worked under are not okay. Coaches should have the right human management skills but no coach would like to work under a player who cannot control his emotions.
If this is true then it’s Arteta’s loss. Osimhen could have really helped even the playing field for Arsenal. I can’t say Osimhen has anger issues because I have not seen him act unprofessionally on the pitch. The incident with Finidi George did not seem to me like it was premeditated. At the time, tensions were high and the country was looking for a scape goat to blame for losing the World Cup qualifying matches. We had just lost the AFCON final, and his teammate Alex Iwobi was facing strong cyber bullying from the fans at the time. I think Osimhen did not want to be the next victim and acted out of impulse to clear his name from the rumours that he didn’t want to play for the Super Eagles.

BTW I watched the Nigeria vs Benin match yesterday and I don't see Finidi George coaching anymore Nigeria in that match, so is it possible that the dispute with Osimhen has made him sacked at this time?
Finidi George resigned from the position before Osimhen video came out so Osimhen’s rant did not have anything to do with Finidi quitting his position as Super Eagles manager.

Pep Guardiola's contract will end in the summer of 2025 but until now there has been no sign that he wants to extend his service at Manchester City. I wonder if the previous rumors about Pep Guardiola leaving at the end of the season will really happen because the coach has also created a long history with Man City so far, Pep Guardiola must immediately make his decision because finding a coach like him is not easy for the big club.

The club has anticipated that if Pep Guardiola leaves next season, the club will dig deep into its pockets to recruit many star players so that its performance remains stable and does not experience a drastic decline.

I also haven't found any new rumors regarding his departure, because so far it's still the same rumor where as you said that Guardiola will likely leave at the end of the summer when his contract ends, and although Manchester City have achieved many achievements since the arrival of the coach, of course the club's journey should not end at this point, and I heard that the top brass are also quite worried about the rumors of his departure, because of course it will not be easy to find a coach like Guardiola, but so far I have heard that the club management has included several names of popular coaches who they think can be relied on to replace Guardiola if he really leaves, one of which is Nagelsman and Michel.

-snip
If Pep Guardiola leaves then the club must start looking for new coaches now to anticipate Pep Guardiola's departure at the end of the season because it is not easy to find a suitable coach for the club, but I think before that Manchester City will try to persuade the coach to stay with the club maybe by offering him a salary increase.
But if Pep Guardiola insists on leaving I think Zinedin Zidane could be a suitable choice to replace Pep Guardiola, he was a great coach at Real Madrid and has also created a lot of success with Real Madrid if he coaches Man City then the competition between the club and his former club will be even fiercer in UCL.

This coach is reported to want to return to coaching again and is currently being targeted by Man United to replace Erik Ten Hag so before Man United gets his signature I think Man City should make an offer to him first.

If the report in the headline about Arsenal's manager Mikel Arteta backing out his interest on Victor Osimhen because of the spat with Finidi George is true, then I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I love Victor Osimhen and will want him to continue to fly high but discipline and self control from unnecessary issues are the things he must possess in other to remain at the top. There are managers who doesn't like to work with players with past track record of media dramas and they do that in other to avoid having same experience with the said players which I think is okay
Osimhen could have been very useful for Arteta. We may be making this comment because they could not make this transfer happen. However, if he had transferred to Arsenal and played successful matches there, we could have thought the opposite. He will be playing for Galatasaray right now and the whole world will be following his performance closely. Because this was a transfer that almost no one could have predicted. Everyone thought he would go to bigger teams than Galatasaray. Naturally, we expect him to score more goals in the Turkish Super League. Maybe he can come back to Arsenal's agenda during the mid-term transfer period.
Osimhen has officially joined the galatasaray on loan from Napoli for 1 year and should that it has put an end to all speculation about him at the moment, as the striker, Osimhen has great goalscoring acumen and it has attracted the interest of many clubs to sign him, but Osimhen should also be able to realize that the selfish and stubborn attitude that a footballer has can actually destroy the player career, Although we do not know what really happened to Osimhen and Finidi George at this time, it is certainly not appropriate for Osimhen with attack Finidi George publicly, So it shows that Osimhen temperament and egoism are too high and make the coaches who want to sign him have to think again, I think Arsenal need a great striker like Osimhen at the moment but Arteta realizes that if maybe recruiting Osimhen will only cause problems in their squad later so that he cancels signing Osimhen.
BTW I watched the Nigeria vs Benin match yesterday and I don't see Finidi George coaching anymore Nigeria in that match, so is it possible that the dispute with Osimhen has made him sacked at this time?

I think the management will extend his contract.
I believe the decision lies on Guardiola's hand. I mean there are history of him leaving successful clubs like Barca after he wins so many trophies, and I doubt money is the issue. I also heard that some players more or less said that this season is their last dance together with him. Not sure if that's what they explicitly told us, but many journalist to report the same thing. I don't think the club can do much to change his mind if if he's truly exhausted like before.
Of course we cannot know what is happening inside the club. We only know the football played from the outside and what is reflected in the media. If he has a problem with the club, Guardiola can show it to us by not renewing his contract. Because I know he does not want to stay in a place where he is not happy. What is important from now on is if you leave Manchester City. I wonder which team can convince him. He has the potential to easily take part in any club in the world right now and I think he is the best technical director alive in active football. The club that wants to convince him should pay a lot of money and offer them a lot of opportunities, just like Manchester City.

There are lots of news saying that Liverpool is preparing to extend Salah's contract.  Smiley  This is great to hear honestly. It is a big privilege to watch a player like him in the Premier League. He is still performing amazingly. Liverpool clearly needs him.

Maybe you will say he is getting old but this doesn't affect his performance negatively. Special players generally show this to us. I hope he doesn't go to Saudi Arabia next summer. His current contract ends by that time.

Salah doesn't look unhappy either. He is just enjoying his game. It seems like he doesn't have any problems with Arne Slot too.
This is good news for the Liverpool fans because after the clash between Salah and Jurgen Klopp, it looked like Mo Salah time at Liverpool would be cut short. I thought Salah was going to leave the club when Saudi came knocking but that didn’t happen. Klopp was the one that made a move away from Liverpool. Mo Salah seems to have a great relationship with Arne Slot. Watching Liverpool games this season and seeing how well he has been performing shows he is very happy playing in the Liverpool shirt, he deserves an extension.

Real Madrid is keeping an eye on the 23 years old Arsenal defender William Saliba for the next summer move:

Here is the thing Real Madrid's current defenders are just getting older, and Real Madrid needs to bring up a replacement for them. Antonio Rudiger is 31 years okd, despite David Alaba is more than 32 years old, and Nacho left the club for Saudi Arabia side. So looking forward they are going to sign the replacement for them and the replacement is Arsenal center back William Saliba.

William Saliba is considered one of the best defenders in Primer League. He won PFA Team of the Year twice back to back in two seasons with Arsenal and is the pair of center backs with Gabriel Magalhaes in the heart of the Arsenal defense and only let only a few goals to concede in the entire season which is quite impressive...

So this remarkable performance forced Real Madrid to attract and now they want to make William Saliba a part of their defense. William Saliba's current market value is £67.5m. What do you guys think, should Arsenal demand Saliba's £67.5m value or more? Express your opinion.

https://x.com/DeadlineDayLive/status/1832675093140361329?t=p4_LqoZNypeKACVmmq7gwA&s=19

Does Real Madrid ready to break a transfer record to get Saliba? We know he has a long-term contract with the Gunners. It takes more effort for Madrid to get him from this London club.

It's very obvious that market value has nothing to do with the price tag given by Arsenal itself. If Madrid can afford more than £100m for him, then they can start a conversation; anything less is a no.

Saliba is considered a very important asset owned by Arsenal. He's young, strong, consistent, and a hard worker. A complete CB like him would cost more than 100 million just to open the talk with the gunner.

How some players react to certain situations in public has effect on their career and I have never imagined it was because of the issue he heard with Findi George that may have resulted to this transfer issues he had, I mean indirectly his anger management issues with Napoli could have caused his delayed transfer and not getting the club he wanted with a good offer. Mikel Arteta only showed up in the transfer window for Osimhen’s talk at a time, he didn’t follow up again after that, maybe he stopped after he immediately lost interest in the guy’s behaviour. This should be a lesson to him and other players though, your coach is your superiors and should be respected all the time.

If so then it is good news for them, this is something that is expected regarding players who are confirmed to still be able to play and are not seriously injured. Barcelona is in financial trouble and when there is bad news about their players it will clearly cause new problems, especially if the player has a good performance. Real Madrid for example, they do have a luxurious squad and they also don't have any significant problems. However, when many of their players are injured it will make it difficult for them. Because the injured players are the main players in the team. Injuries are something that cannot be predicted at all, even though the player takes care of himself very carefully, but when they have to get injured no one can stop them, sometimes they also get injured during training sessions.

No matter how good a team is once they actually start getting injury crisis they easily get into trouble, Barcelona as a team have a very thing squad that is there is no significant depth due to their financial difficulties to have much players on their pay role so any injury to their first team players will be a very serious problem for them. Injuries sometimes are said to be unavoidable but to me there is numerous ways that we can simply have the players more fit by reducing the congestion of games.

First of all the friendlies that is been organized is completely useless to me and very unhealthy for this players. How can we have country friendlies just less than a month into the new season, this needs to be scrapped by the football federations. I don’t blame clubs that prevent their players from going sometimes to this friendlies by lying that they are injured, most of the countries do not take care of the players rather when they get injured they ship them back to the club again

the existence of the release clause provision that may be targeted by Madrid who have been rumored to be very interested in bringing in Haaland and allowing him to play with Mbappe on one team. it is unimaginable if Madrid has Vinicius, Mbappe, and Haaland in their attack line.
~~
I don't think Real Madrid will be interested in bringing Earling Haaland. This is a depiction of fake rumors that Real Madrid intend to bring Earling Haaland. And even if it is assumed that Earling Haaland is signed, it will still be a problem for Real Madrid in the squad rotation. Because Real Madrid has already signed Killyan Mbappe. So players like Killyan Mbappe, Vinice Junior and Rodrigo are used in the front three in the squad and if Earling Haaland is signed, then 4 Superstar players are used in one match at the same time. It will be impossible to do.

So it's meant to say that this could be a fake news published only to spread rumors among people. Because first of all, it is clear that even Manchester City will not agree to let Earling Haaland move to another club and secondly, Real Madrid's attack is strong enough, why does it need to bring more players.

As if City didn't spend enough under Guardiola  Grin
But in fact you are right - I saw information that the club plans to allocate 300 million to the new coach for transfers. But still, the most important thing is how the League vs. City case ends - if the League wins, then sanctions will be imposed on City and Guardiola will leave, if City can get away with it again, then he will stay and continue his dirty deeds.

I think Manchester City will continue with Pep Guardiola. Guardiola is the most important part of the current Manchester City. Players can be the most important part of a team, but if you are Guardiola, you can be the best part of the team. His technical knowledge is amazing. His analysis of the opponent is great. Also Manchester City achieved a lot of success during this period. He adapted the team to go on for many years without any problems. He made all the players fit together. I think the management will extend his contract.
Most likely no. That's enough Guardiola to coach the club. He dreams of coaching the national team. And i think he has no interest in extending his contract with Manchester City. However, City may be trying to convince him to stay, but i believe Guardiola is not gonna take a new offer from City.

I think he wants to end his career at a football club. Then, he wants to chase his dream of managing a national team. He has signalled it in many of his interviews. He'd not stay forever there. He must complete his dream.

At club level, Pep Guardiola has won everything, it is natural that the Spanish manager wants a new challenge by coaching the National Team. Pep Guardiola contract will expire in June 2025, Manchester City reportedly gave a deadline until December 2024, whether the manager will decide to stay or leave.

Everything is possible, as is known, the England National Team is very interested in appointing him as the new manager after parting ways with Southgate. Even the 2026 World Cup will be the first opportunity for Pep Guardiola if he officially leaves Manchester City and chooses to coach the England National Team, he will have one of the best squads.

On the other hand, staying with Manchester City is also not a bad decision, he has the potential to win more trophies in various competitions. Arsenal fans certainly pray that Pep Guardiola will leave soon, so that their steps to win the Premier League trophy will be easier, as well as other elite Premier League teams.

Yes. Pep Guardiola has not made any official announcement about his stay or departure, making "The Citizens" fans somewhat worried. If Pep Guardiola decides not to sign a new deal. Man City must be ready to react strongly. Man City must launch a huge transfer package to support the new coach. They should understand that the new Man City manager will need a lot of financial resources to bring in top recruits for his new empire at the Etihad.
We still don't know which coach will take over the hot seat of The Citizens after Pep Guardiola. But one thing is for sure, Man City's board of directors is also doing everything to keep Pep Guardiola in Manchester after 2025. Hopefully, they can keep Pep Guardiola, to continue to conquer and set legendary records for an extremely successful empire.
I think the fan should more worried about the possible penalty for the fianancial fair play issue.
We everyone thinks that they will have no points as penalty but this should be too big to ignore it.

The penalty if come will be very big.

So in the end it will be nothing at all or relegation to second division.

Pep's decision will be everything for his future. He is someone who doesn't really get influenced by money, or other things. If he realizes that his time at City is over, he will call it a day and won't think of more discussions at all.

There's a word around that City's plan for Pep's replacement is Arteta, and it's also said that Arteta is doing really great at Arsenal, but apparently, he might be open for a move at City. If that happens eventually, City won't have to worry as Arteta's been Pep's assistant for a long time, and both of them have a very similar approach to football.

Real Madrid is keeping an eye on the 23 years old Arsenal defender William Saliba for the next summer move:

News about Saliba for Madrid has been around for several months where indeed the condition of Madrid's defense has always been a concern not because of performance problems but because of the unending injury problems of some of their defenders.
Alaba is still not fit to play, Rudiger and Militao are also often problematic because they are very susceptible to injury which makes things a little complicated for Madrid and previously we also saw that Saliba was rumored to be in Madrid even though until the transfer season ended no deal actually happened.

Next season or possibly in the winter transfer window, Madrid will try to make some waves by bringing in defenders because forcing their conditions where they are vulnerable to a hurricane of injuries is likely to be very difficult so the option of adding new players is the most likely thing to do.

William Saliba has been outstanding since joining Arsenal. Even when he was on a loan to Olympique de Marseille, he finished as a top league defender there, so it is no surprise at all that he is attracting interest from top clubs. Too bad William Saliba is not for sale and certainly not going anywhere. Arsenal fans adore him, I doubt he will be leaving Arsenal this season nor the next. Real Madrid will have to look elsewhere for a replacement for Rudiger.

William Saliba has already earned this attention with the football he plays. He will now be on the transfer list of big clubs. Everyone has seen that he has improved his game and this development has made him the center of attention of big clubs.

I think that clubs do not care about defensive transfers. They pay a lot of money for attacking players but they do not spend much money on defense. In football, not conceding a goal is as important as scoring a goal. Therefore, the amount of money given to a good defender should not be important because it is difficult to find a good defender. William Saliba is also a good defender.

According to rumors, he refused Galatasary for a potential deal of 30m in 4 years.
He also has no plans to accept Saudi Arabia too.

It is rumored he wants 40m for 4 years deal.
