manchester united has brought in Lisandro Martinez, the desired reinforcement for the defense. the argentine follows his coach Erik ten Hag from ajax amsterdam to the reds. an agreement in principle on the transfer has been reached (€57 million and an additional €10 million in performance-based bonuses), but the obligatory medical check is still pending...

Erik Ten Hag as well as his his management team and the fans will finally exhale breathe of fresh after getting this deal across the line. Lisandro Martinez has been a target for quite a long time with number of bids turned down for the Argentine star player and they finally got to agree on transfer fees with Ajax, I can't vouch for him as some players coming to the league from abroad term to flop and some fit in immediately, it will be a 50:50 chance of success for Manchester United.

Erik Ten Hag would like to keep Ronaldo. However, I do have my reservations about it. He hasn't shown up at a few meetings and training sessions. There are now a lot of clubs that would like to have him. But where are you going then? I think it's also an important aspect that he won't be able to play in the Champions League again this year, while Ronaldo is hungry for even more trophies. If united Champions League were playing it would have been very different. City also want him but Alex Ferguson didn't think that was a good idea last year Smiley

Transfer rumours:

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has again reiterated the German club's stance on Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, by ruling out a move for the Manchester United and Portugal forward. Can we trust him to tell the truth about Ronaldo?  Grin
Manchester City have no intention of selling Portugal midfielder Bernardo Silva to Barcelona this summer, with manager Pep Guardiola still viewing the 27-year-old as an important part of his plans next season. So there will be no agreement between Barcelona and Manchester regarding Silva?
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has told the club's hierarchy to continue their attempts to sign 25-year-old Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona - even if he has not joined them by the start of their season on 7 August. Interesting situation. The clubs have already agreed on everything, but the player does not want to leave. How will this end in the end?
Barcelona have named De Jong in their squad for a pre-season tour in the United States. Does this mean that Barcelona gave up on his transfer to Manchester?
Juventus are in contact with Atletico Madrid about signing 29-year-old Spain striker Alvaro Morata, who returned to the Spanish club in the summer following the end of a two-year loan spell at the Serie A side. Juve have done a very good job this summer and have strengthened their squad for the new season.

Whether or not Bayern Munich are interested in Christiano Ronaldo, the new manager, Erik Ten Hag has made it clear that Ronaldo is not for sale and he is part of his plans for the coming season. Even if Manchester city are willing to let Bernardo Silva leave I don't see Barcelona being able to seal that deal with the limited funds at their disposal until maybe the sale of Frankie De jong which is still not clear whether or not he will leave the club this summer cause as things stand he is listed in the squad for pre season games.

I agree with you, Oliver Kahn has on several occasions denied that Bayern Munich are not interested in the 37-year-old, who scored 24 goals in 38 games in all competitions for United last season.
So far Kahn has always talked about age but not the qualities a forward has in terms of scoring goals, I think Ronaldo is still capable of competing for the top scorer title.
Well i generally agree that primarily we should not talk about the age of the players but only about the quality of the players and i think in terms of quality there is no doubt that Cristiano Ronaldo is still a high class player and an effective striker. The big problem is that Cristiano Ronaldo is earning around 30 M € per year at Manchester United and i would guess that he also wants to earn that kind of money if he is going to a new club. Bayern would also need to pay a transfer fee for him as he still has a contract at ManU until the end of next season. So Bayern would have to pay at least around 50 M€ or so to sign Cristiano Ronaldo for 1 season. That is just way to much for a player that is already 37 years old.
I agree, it's all about the money, but also a bit about the team. There were talks about MLS or Arabic teams that offered Ronaldo a ton of money for example and yet they still disagreed on that as well. This means Ronaldo not only wants teams that would be in UCL but also pay nearly 30 million to him, or maybe a bit less. If another team offers a lot less, or offers from non-UCL teams then it wouldn't matter, he is already in Europa anyway.

This is their problem and that won't go away. Bayern paid a lot less to players like Mane, who are younger and could provide more, why offer Ronaldo more? Maybe financially they could recoup it, but it is a risk that they weren't willing to take.

Did they really sell their TV rights? I mean that is literally a huge chunk of income they had, if they gave away the income, and spent that money, then how do they plan on keep going? At the end of the day they are going to end up with basically nothing right? No income, pure spending, that money will run out, and they will be back to where they are AND not have income as well. Now, at least they had income but debt, in the future they will have no income and still have debt. I do not know whats going to happen, but if they keep this up then they are going to be a team that will like get relegated to another lower league for financial issues.
I'm not sure if they did sell their TV rights but as things look it seems they did cause I don't seem to be able to trace the source of their financial strength in the transfer market this summer. They have been able to complete four or five new signings this summer which wouldn't be possible with the financial crisis they are facing at the club so it looks very likely that they sold their TV rights, it's not even as if they sold some high value players to raise funds.

Manchester United still haven't completed the Frenkie de Jong transfer. They are said to have reached an agreement for him actually but it is not official yet. The deal is said to be around 85 million euros in total. This is really huge for them and it can help Barcelona's budget become in a better condition after two big signings. Manchester United also need a midfielder like him after Pogba has left.
The price is quite big indeed but ManU needs de Jong for their midfield and Barcelona needs the money to cover the expenses of the recently signed players and for their pay check too. Barca is the one profiting the most from this transfer window and ManU is having many issues to bring players to reinforce their squad.

Almost official, tier A source.

De Ligt left Juventus for Bayern.

Still don't know the money, should be around 80-90m €
Bayern could cover that after Lewandowski deal. These money will be used to fill the gap in Juve after the departure of De ligt and Chiellini..

Agreement between both club's but the player has refused to admit he wants to move to Manchester United. Most Manchester United fan will be exhausted with the current decisions of the player. They now rather see am alternative player come in than waiting till the window market ends. Manchester United completed the transfer for the third time this season a player from Ajax who knows how to play the vision of Erik Ten Hag. Manchester United now needs a sticker and another right back.
Currently, it seems that it is just a matter of waiting for De Jong's willingness to move because there has been an agreement between Barcelona and MU, apparently after MU raised the price for the release clause.
In the end, it's back to De Jong whether he will still insist on Barcelona or a reunion with Ten Hag. IMO if I were De Jong I would try something new by making the decision to move on from Barcelona.

Juventus will fly to the US during this week, they will play there 3-4 games before the start of the season.

According to rumors, the players who will not leave Italy are DeLigt and Arthur, these 2 players are probably close to be sold.
De ligt are indeed wanted to leave juventus and bayern welcome him through an intense contact with oliver khan to close the deal as soon as possible,  just a matter of time...  It's jut sad for me to see de ligt choose bayern over chelsea.

But hey we have got koulibaly tho,  a great wall as well as him.

I believe one of the reasons De Jong chose to stay was because Barcelona are still a team that plays in the Champions League. Manchester United didn't, and that led to Ronaldo asking him to be sold. In addition, De Jong also strongly feels that Xavi is a coach who will allow him to develop to the maximum at Barcelona and because of that I think he is starting to think about staying at Barcelona. De Jong is an important player in Xavi's scheme of play, so he will probably be guaranteed to play all season unless his form drops.
We can see it, even though Barcelona is in a financial crisis but seeing the potential for success is also not too doubtful. Barcelona still has strengths that can arise at any time, competent young players, a level of intelligence in managing the game, and now can be a turning point for Barcelona to recover. De Jong does have to consider his decision very well. I still have high hopes that next season Barcelona can show significant recovery. This is just a twist to get off to a more profitable start.
De Jong leaving the club for a lot of money would be amazing for Barcelona. It's not going to be good because he is a good player, he is a great one, but that money is needed and he needs to be sold in order to make sure that Barcelona could get more players. If they sell De Jong and use that money to buy 2-3 more players, that would help them a lot. They could sell a few more, like Dembele for example, and could make more money and get some younger players there and basically fix their economic situation. This is how we should be approaching, otherwise it would not make any sense. There is a debt problem and if they keep doing that then it would not be profitable for them.

Barcelona just bought a player for 58 million, or I think they are really close to buying this player, Raphinha. I don’t know how that is going to turn out for them. They don’t have the amount of money to spend like this right now but they are doing it anyway.

'Barcelona will not be a club in three or four years', said Bayern Munich, which is something I sincerely hope does not come true. I really wish Barcelona would spend their money wisely. I thought that they were intending to stay under the radar for at least two or three seasons, but it feels like they really like to spend money.

AS Roma possibly will hijacked Pablo Dybala from Inter because after the negotiation between him and Inter seems to dead end and AS Roma appears with new offers and Roma confident will get his signs because they offering high salary to Dybala and rumours is Inter has been withdraw to get him because before this transfer they already get Lukaku from Chelsea and also request salary from Dybala is too high and not according to Inter transfer policy
Today AS Roma is said to be holding a meeting with Dybala's agent for an open offer and persuading Dybala to join AS Roma and Mourinho is trying to make sure that Dybala will get his best place.
I read from local news that AS Roma have made a profosal offer of 6 million euros per season whether this would be the best offer for Dybala, but the truth is this will concern his future at AS Roma so this is still under negotiation.

Puh! I think 85 million for de Jong is a bit too much, but as always, the clubs pay incredibly high sums for overrated players.  Sure Frenkie is a good player but 85 million?  Barca have to get the money for their absurdly expensive transfers from somewhere and United are notorious for overspending so it's going to work  Cheesy

Recently there were rumors that Bayern would be interested in de ligt and I would not rule out a transfer in this direction.  Bayern haven't made many transfers in this period, so they still have a lot of budget. There is currently no speculation about Arthur either, unfortunately I don't know anymore about him  Grin
De ligt is likely to go from juventus to another club in this summer window. Bayern do have an additional budget from selling Lewandowski but I haven't seen any recent offers from Bayern Munich to Juventus. The two clubs have so far not found an agreement in the transfer of De ligt. Chelsea may have backed out of the de ligt chase after they got Koulibaly in this week. we will see bayern munich move to get de ligt. Do they really want to make a new bid for Juventus.

I think Juventus does not want to let these players go. Juventus did make some significant changes at the club but if they let these two players go they will have some certain problems. It seems like they don't have a very robust defensive position. If one player gets injured they will have a hard time defending. So they cannot, absolutely cannot let De Ligt go.

And that's why I think they are making sure that if they do let him go, they will be able to get a very high amount of price for him and with that price, they will be able to bring in at least 2 top-tier defenders to the team. And even though they will have some stability in the midfield area with Pogba coming to the team, I don't think letting Arthur depart is going to be a wise option for them right now. I mean it's always better to have a plan B.

It seems like Arsenal are very close to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko now. I doubted Manchester City would sell him but they didn't make it a problem. This addition will most likely cause Nuno Tavares to be sold also. He isn't a promising left-back therefore it would be better for Arsenal to get rid of him. Zinchenko is more like a offensive back. As a result I expect Arsenal to be much more effective in scoring now. They like to play quick and he can adapt to this game plan easily.
It's still quite difficult at the moment especially City have also lost Ake for now in the defense post and indeed I think it will take a little longer on the deal because it's pretty clear City won't make this easy either.
But indeed Oleksandr Zinchenko could be something very good for Arsenal now and I feel he would be a good fit for Arsenal and of course the guarantee of being a starting player is huge there.
