He is a quality defender and I think Real Madrid have been sniffing at him for some time. There really isn't much news about Real Madrid's interest in the Chelsea defender and I was a bit surprised after seeing the official news. Of course Rudiger deserves to be at Real Madrid because of his quality and it is a good choice for him. I wish him success in his new team and become an important player in the Real Madrid defense from next season.

Perisic has a 2 year contract at Tottenham, meaning he will only get a chance at the end of his career until 2024 or when he is 35 years old. Actually Tottenham are after players younger than Perisic, but Conte certainly has the right to choose the players he wants next season. I believe, Perisic will not disappoint.

He performed pretty well, but it's true what you said with chelsea he got 9 yellow cards in 34 games in the EPL. But during 2017 I didn't see him getting a red card. Sometimes we need hard players, opponents will think extra and that's advantageous for Madrid. Of course, his arrival can add to Madrid's defensive strength.
