The Sunday Mirror is reporting that both Chelsea and Manchester United are interested in signing Alexander Isak whos currently playing for Real Sociedad. The current market value of the 22 year-old striker is about €40m according to transfermarket.com.

Chelsea and Manchester United are both keen on signing Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak.

Source: https://twitter.com/DeadlineDayLive/status/1490260874401136640

Nevertheless, a transfer in the summer seems very unlikely, because Isak still has a contract until June 30, 2026. If he really wants to transfer to another club, the transfer fee is likely to be far more than the €40m mentioned.

Many trophies giving by Pep Guardiola I think not any reason why not extended new contract for him, beside still looks impossible with champion league trophy is not reason looking for new manager for Manchester City. I think he was given many trophies exactly with Primer League and Manchester City always become dominance team on primer league. Now this season will be the last waiting for Manchester City with Pep Guardiola success get Champion League trophy? I think he was failed on previous club how to get champion league trophy after with Bayern Munich he can't get it.
Currently, two teams have very serious desire about Champions League and most of the surrounding rumours are for this as well because their domestic form is not challenged and their desire for Champions League is going very aggressive, so these teams can do anything for this win with now we are having too much talk about this all first PSG were going to have some changes and now Manchester City manager is also in talk as both owners are from Gulf region, and they are spending very good amount for this title hopefully we will have these teams with their trophies right now both teams have very good time as performance, and they can turn tables for their win and still some good challenges are also waiting for them in this all as Champions League win need something else than their wins in local leagues.

When Txiki Begiristain was still director of football in manchester city, I believe Pep will continue his contract, the problem is him, is he still want to continue? the city still wants him to continue because no other genius coach likes him except Klopp. The last name is still in Liverpool until 2024, he was able to get the Champion league trophy. Maybe, for this reason, the city will change its mind if their focus for that.

Sport reports that the management of Barcelona wants to extend the contract with their 17-year-old midfielder Gavi. True, the young player does not like the conditions offered by the club and he is considering the option of leaving the club. Gavi is willing to stay if the Blue Garnets offer a better contract, but Barcelona can't afford him yet due to financial difficulties. As part of the current season, the midfielder took part in 25 confrontations, scored 1 goal and made 3 assists.

https://www.readfootball.com/gavi-ne-ponravilos-novoe-predlozhenie-barselony-248234.html

This is what happens when you are not smart. Gavi should be one of the players Barcelona should be building their future around, yet they cannot pay him because they bring an overpriced old striker as a panic signing on the last day of the transfer window.

I feel Gavi will extend but the point remains the same. Barcelona is in all these problems because they weren't careful with money and they still didn't learn anything from it.

Wouldn't it be much more advantageous for Gavi to remain in barcelona until his name and reputation were higher so that his marked value would also be higher or would leaving barcelona be more advantageous for him at that moment?

Manchester City players believe manager Pep Guardiola will sign a new contract to stay at the club beyond next year. Will they offer him a new contract if he fails to win the Champions League this and next season?
Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/60275879
This has got really interesting now. Because Pep Guardiola said already long time ago that he was going to leave the team in the near future. When we take this into account, it is quite probable that he would quit his job after his current contract with his team ends. But it looks like the players don't want to let him go yet and they are trying to convince him to stay. In my opinion, he has been the best thing happened to Manchester City so far. Thanks to his system and player choices, Manchester City have dominated the league so far. The only thing absent is the Champions League title now. And if they win it this season, I think that he would achieve his goals fully here and leave the team most probably after the contract deadline.
I also think that only the absence of the title of the winner of the Champions League can make Guardiola think about continuing cooperation with Manchester City. As for whether the club's management will offer him a new contract, it seems that winning the Premier League this season will completely satisfy the club's management. Another question is how long Guardiola agrees to continue his work at the club. I don't think Pep will leave the club after this season, but really winning the Champions League trophy can negatively affect the prospects of continuing his career at the club. However, I do not rule out the possibility that Guardiola, on the contrary, will want to repeat the success with the team he has already built.

Guardiola is a top coach who wants to lead top teams, and it is important to him that the club's owners have enough financial resources to bring him the desired new players every year.
What other club could provide him with everything he currently has in Manchester City?
Barcelona has entered a long-term project with Xavi, Real is clearly not a club for him, Juve is in a big crisis, Bayern has already coached etc.
PSG? But the French league is completely unattractive compared to the English league.
Obviously, there is no other club that could attract Guardiola's interest or offer him more than he currently has in Manchester. Given that, it is a logical step to extend the contract and stay at the current club.

You might be right. Not sure if he is the kind player Guardiola would be looking for? One thing is for sure, there are English clubs that are able to pay him more than the salary Chelsea offered him. In Germany there is probably only Bayern and Dortmund, so you might be right and Spain could be his next destination.

I actually said that as players usually in order to show respect to the club opts to move to other league instead of teams in same league. Having won the CL with Chelsea, Rudiger simply doesn't falls to me as a guy who will just make a move to English club in PL. Spain, Paris , Italy, Germany...lot of options for him.

That makes sense. Could actually be any of the clubs you mentioned. Now that he comes from Germany, who knows maybe he has a great offer from Bayern Munich and actually wants to end his career at the best German club that is out there. He has the potential to do it for sure and since Süle is now gone, Bayern will be looking for someone else.

As long as they win the EPL then its all good though. The competition in EPL is far harder than any other league so winning the league is pretty much a good feat already

Am I wrong or did Guardiola already said he will take a break after his contract will expire?
He said it during this year, I'm pretty sure about it.

He did say it but retracted that statement two days later claiming that he could leave anytime depending on how it goes wether he cant handle the players anymore or if the club is tired of him. Pretty sure that he will stay, there is no reason for him to leave unless he wants to try PSG after this? he could have Messi as his player again lol

a growing issue he is willing to be extended if his new contract 250 thousand pounds a week, I think he deserves to be paid that much, I think people also agree with me, he's a pretty complete defender with defensive skills, possession of the ball and being able to score goals which I think is incredible. Chelsea should immediately complete his new contract rather than having to lose it on a free transfer or cut from behind by other club.
The key to most defenders right now is that they know Real needs a great defender. Which means that they could get 200k per week from Real if they want to, or maybe a little less, as long as there is no transfer fee. So, they are using that as a leverage and tell their managers to contact Madrid team and see if they would pay anything close.

If Madrid says that they are willing to pay anything close to 200, even if it is like 175, then they will say "either pay me 250 or I am walking to Madrid for 175 instead of accepting 200 here", type of deal. And since he is good enough to actually help the team and he is definitely a great defender.

Chelsea have offered defender Antonio Rudiger a new contract. According to the source, the "aristocrats" are willing to pay the German defender 200 thousand pounds a week.
Recall that now the athlete is paid 100 thousand. Despite such a generous offer, Rudiger decided to leave the team at the end of this season, when his contract ends.

Chelsea need pay him how much he want because looking with Rudiger quality as the best defender on primer league right now, he has success give Primer League and Champion League trophies for The Blues and should extended his contract have over this season. I think Chelsea have not any option with defender after Thiago Siva have over 35 years and Aplicueta have been 32 years old, need to get extended Rudiger contract excatly four or five years later.

Rudiger is a defender who can successfully fight for Chelsea for many years. I like him style.. One of the important generations of the German defense. And if they sign young, promising players like Çağlar Söyüncü or Demiral, Chelsea will not have a defense problem for many years. One of the best options for number 2 is Rudiger.

Is this true? I haven't seen any news about this and the last time I read rumors he was refusing a £200,000 contract from Chelsea and I looked for more information and still haven't found the rumours you're talking about. .
But if this is true it will certainly be very good for Chelsea and other teams who want to get this player's service must be prepared to forget about it.

He must be quite certain that he can sign another and better contract elsewhere, otherwise I assume he wouldn't have turned down the offer, or?

That is 240,000 Euro per week, which is 12.5 million Euros per year. Could be possible that he goes to another English club? Or is Bayern Munich even involved?

There are lot of big teams which are in need of a good solid central defender and I think lot of those teams are keeping an eye on this situation. Reports were that Real Madrid are interested in Rudiger and they can give him a good offer as he seeks. Another English club? Possible but don't think so. Players usually respect the club so no chance of going into big-6. So either it's extension at Chelsea or move to New league in Spain, Germany..
He is at his golden age which yeah pretty normal to ask for higher salary ... and 250k a week could bring him to the top 10 or top 15 at least for highest paid footballer.
Well i must say if you talking about business.. then it would be complicated as they might have to accept the player proposal so he wont leave free at the end of his contract this july and have a plan to sell him at the peak level for good amount of cash.

But yeah if the club do really wanted his service , the wage demand .. it's just a number , they could fulfill it if really wanted that. Not sure if the club could hold him tho.

It has been reported that Niklas Sule has chosen his next club. Since his contract is expiring in the summer, that means he won't be extending with Bayern.

Yep, Niklas Süles decision that he wants to leave Bayern in the summer is final. His agent announced the following today:

Süle's agent Volker Struth: "We never negotiated (with Bayern). There was only a verbal approach.  We met, spoke about it and I signaled at the time that the player was considering whether he wants to extend his contract. It wasn't about the money at all".

"A conversation was planned in January. Niklas spent Christmas with his family, called me between at the time and said: 'I don't want that anymore. I don't want this appointment to take place"

"It has nothing to do with money at all. I spoke to Hasan Salihamidžić about a possible renewal, that was in late autumn last year - six or seven months before the end of his contract. By then Süle had already decided & told me: 'I want to do something different'

Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1490286776367337479

Bayern offered Süle only about €10 million/year for a contract extension, but Süle demanded more.

Bayern offered Süle a fixed salary of under €10m/year, less than what they are offering for Christensen. Süle was very disappointed. In addition the people in charge took a lot of time to make the offer & it was just a 'verbal' offer. All factors that made Süle leave [@cfbayern]

Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1490275861056352257

Even if it is now said that the player did not feel valued by the club, the extension failed because of the player's salary. Still, I think it's right that Bayern offered a rather low salary in this case. Süle has disappointed time and again in recent years and has often been injured. I am glad that he is leaving the club and that new hungry players can be signed as replacements.
