I have to say that I do not understand him. He is either incredibly brave or incredibly stupid - I cannot imagine him sprinting around 90 minutes every game after an experience like this.
I know some players play with it - Blind for example. But Blind never had such an experience - he simply had it implanted before anything happened.
Incredibly confused. He is a football player, he has been one since he was a little kid, and that is all he has known, and he is only 29 years old. Not like his prime or anything, he could play like another 5 seasons if he was healthy. So, this results with him feeling like left out, feeling like his life was taken from him and another life was presented to him, and he is confused about it.
I have seen too many people like that in my line of work back in the day, people who was regular workers and not even football players, which means they worked until 60 even 70 years old. But to be fair, after 70 it becomes a hassle to be decent at anything, it is not easy and it is definitely near impossible. This is why we had to just let them figure out they should stop and retire by putting slight reminders, and some got it, while others didn't.
