Liverpool is entering the race for Haaland! I hoped this would happen, it makes so much sense from business perspective as well which is a key metric when they analyze new signings.
Haaland has a low release clause, he's English, still so young with amazing potential and plays in a position Liverpool needs to strengthen anyway. Apparently Salah requested big signings if the club wants him to extend as well.
This just looks so good from all angles and I see it happening. The only problem might be that City will be looking for a striker as well.
At this point I really do not believe most of the news, it is just like "if haaland is on the market, we would like to know for how much" from every single team out there which realistically could afford him. I mean sure Liverpool will want to know how much he would be sold for, we all know it will not be 100 million pounds or less, but you do not get a player like him that easily, this guy is one of the two three players of his generation, mbappe and him and name another under 25 player at that level? Quite difficult.
So, teams will ask and "be interested" but in reality I am pretty sure that it will not be that easy, it looks like they may not be actually buying him, just doing a trick to learn his value and maybe offer something a bit less.
On the one hand, the appearance of a new bidder for the purchase of Haaland is quite understandable, because I think that any club would not refuse to sign such a strong striker. On the other hand, I am not sure that Liverpool is ready to go all the way in this matter. Moreover, in the case of Liverpool, there seems to be no such facts that would link Haaland and the club, unlike, for example, the fact that at one time the player's father played at Manchester City. Therefore, for me personally, all this looks more serious than the information that Barcelona is also interested in buying a player, but still I think there are more arguments in favor of Manchester City so far, if we are talking about English clubs. And by the way, it is not necessary to take seriously the information about the fixed amount of the buyout in the contract, because this is only insurance on the part of the player if the club refuses to sell the player, but it is unlikely that it will come to that and the issue will be resolved to the mutual benefit of both Borussia Dortmund and Haaland.
