I think it's a pretty good decision for Man Utd at the moment

That really depends on who will they replace him with. I don't see any top-class managers available, Rodgers and Zidane look like the most realistic candidates and looking at it long-term, I think neither one of them has what it takes to fix all the problems currently happening at United.

I really like Ten Hag and hope they don't go for him, last I heard was that he's happy at Ajax anyway and that he does not want to leave mid-season. United is a club that does not come for you often though, so I think they have a chance to get him. Other than him - I feel it will be the same story - a few great performances followed by a few heavy losses.
at least they have to start with something good communication with the players first and indeed until now there is still no one who can really be sure to become the coach of MU in the future.
On the other hand, Ten Hag is currently attracting attention because ajax's performance is currently stealing attention not only in the Eredivisie but also at UCL. Their performance was so impressive thanks to the ten hag.
But for Ten Hag I hope the same as you, because it's not necessarily the tactics he runs will be suitable at MU even though the offer is very tempting but I feel it would be better if Ten Hag was in ajax.

Recent rumors say Mauricio Pochettino is feeling uncomfortable at PSG, because he has a bad relationship with PSG's sporting director. Reported
by the Daily Mail journalist Pochettino is ready to accept being coach of Man United, if that happens there is a possibility that Zidane will
replace Pochettino as PSG coach. We'll just have to wait and see what the real news is from Man United's management,  because there's too
much speculation going around right now about Ole's replacement.

There is still Carrick as interim coach to fill the current void and for Manchester United that will not be a problem. Maybe a new coach other than Zidane has been prepared in the near future, we will get an announcement soon.
Regarding Mauricio Pochettino, is it really suitable for the character of Manchester United players who need strategic aggressiveness? Is Mauricio Pochettino coaching style not too relaxed?

Not just Zidane,a coach who knows the Manchester United system and can turn poor players to good players, just as Thomas Tuchel did Chelsea.
Zidane is a good choice but seems a delay might come up and result to not finalising a deal.
Laurent Blanc the former pars saint German Coach is also available.
Why not make move for such experienced one ?

I agree that Zidane is a perfect match to replace Solskjaer. Moreover, Zidane has experience as a Real Madrid coach who has many star players.
So it's very fitting if Zidane have to be the manager of Man United, because Man United also has a lot of star players. But unfortunately Zidane
has refused, finally the management of Man United had to think of another replacement.

snip~
I also doubt that Man United can get Zidane, but football is full of surprises, now is the right time to sign Zidane because he is currently a free agent.
If Man United can buy the most expensive player in the world they should be able to buy a quality coach even if it's difficult.
They've had enough experimenting, it's time for them to get serious about restoring man united glory.

I agree that the world of football is full of surprises, anything can happen, but many media reported that Zidane had several times turned down
offers to coach Man United. The reason is because Zidane's wife doesn't want to live in England, Veronique as Zidane's wife only allows her husband
to handle the French club or the French national team. So it is very unlikely that Zidane will accept Manchester United's offer.

As various sources said, Zidane has turned down Man United coaching job twice. Neither he speak in English nor his wife want to live there. Pochettino could be selected by United if his loses his employment in Paris. We'll be in vulnerabilities until anything happen actually however if he still rejects then go ahead and search for another manager who is prepared to accept the position.
Zidane have said reject to be coach on Manchester United because he can't speak English well and there all player usually speak in English, except his wife not happy living on Manchester United, by the way lest speculation with free coach right now like Koeman, will back to primer league and become Manchester United coach? if happen looks very funny to see Manchester United become joke on every week  Grin Grin

Koeman coach of Manchester United? It seems like a joke, but it is quite real at the moment. There are no free trainers at the moment. Zidane and the rest of the coaches will not be coming to Manchester United mid-season, so a coach will be needed until the end of the season, and in the summer it will be possible to choose who to invite. So Koeman is a pretty realistic option at the moment.

Yes, Zidane to United is a long shot at this point even Pochettino as well. But it would be really interesting if Zidane comes to manage a team like Man Utd. The premier league will be bigger than ever. I mean, we already have the likes of:
  • Guardiola
  • Tuchel
  • Klopp
But he might get called up for the PSG job. Anyway, at the moment everything is just mere speculation for now.
Seems like a very intense competition, when another quality manager filled up the manager MU position, The premier league become the Galacticos league in the world. Several managers were mentioned but all still speculation. The Official was Announcement will choose the manager until finish this session. this is possible Zidane unwilling to fill up because of that. I still doubt when the ex-staff manager filled up Ole position when still the same person the result will be the same as before, this should be a hard mission to finish in the big 4 and it will be difficult to find a manager if the club didn't play on the champion league.

For me, they will try till the last minute to get Zidane but I don't think he will join them (well if they give him 20m/€ he can say yes...).

Zidane is the only one who can work with CR7, remember 6 coaches fired in his last 5 years seems to be not only a coincidence at this point, but IMHO he wants yo join his France national team after the world cup.
Manchester United approach to French and Real Madrid legendary Zidane, but he is not interested into this job even very big offer is already rejected, so it means now Manchester United have to check their other options because right now they have some time which is good for them but right now after having check around not sure who is going to be next because we have no good and quality manager currently available for this hot seat.

Zidane would have been a perfect choice but since he is turning down the offer even after he was offered a huge offer means he could possibly be nursing other ambitions like PSG. Manu has no other choice but to do a review on their list of options on who else would suit the Job maybe Carrick might be the next to be considered if Zidane is beyond reach

For the next match against Villarreal in the Champions League, Michael Carrick became interim coach. But according to the news Carrick will not
be long serving as interim coach of Man United, because the management of Man United is looking for an interim coach until the end of the season.
And the strongest candidate is Ralf Rangnick, Moreover, we know the track record of German coaches in the EPL is quite good. Just as Tuchel and
Jurgen Klopp were successful with their respective teams, hopefully Rangnick can indeed make Man United rise again.

Then in the 2022-2023 season there are several candidates to become the main coach of Man United, including Mauricio Pochettino,
Brendan Rodgers and Erik Ten Hag. And all three are good coaches in my opinion, but I prefer Erik Ten Hag as Man United's main coach
next season. Because seeing the extraordinary performance of Ajax since Erik Ten Hag became the main coach of Ajax.

this means we can exclude Zidane from a next potential Manchester United coach

Apart from Zidane is there any jobless world class manager that can fill the vacant managerial post in Man Utd? No thus the best alternative is to appoint a new manager from EPL preferably Brendan Rodgers who has experience in managing clubs in both scottish league and EPL, however this is subject to whether he is going to accept the job or not, Man Utd need a manager that will quickly fix the team and make an instant impact, of course this will be herculean task ahead for whoever is appointed as their new manager.

Looking at Ibrahimovic's current stamina, I think age is only a number and Ibra's performances have been quite good in the last two seasons with AC Milan, he has even become a role model for Milan's young players and can be a good alternative for Milan to give him a contract for the next season.
Although his current performance looks good, but he is already 40 years old. I don't think he will be a role model in AC Milan for a long time, it should end very soon. If AC Milan extend his contract as a player for 1 season more, I think it is the last chance to be given for him. It is time for him to think about continuing a new career as a coach, or totally retire from football. He is one of the legends in football, I am sure it will be interesting to see Ibra as a coach in the future.

In fact, there are only two things that can take away the brilliance of a player, no matter how good he is... a serious injury and age over 40, there's no getting around that.
Ibrahimovic is still playing very well, but we all know that at such an age it is only a matter of time before the body starts to feel and forces the player to retire.
football is a career that pays very well, financially, but it is not a long career and players need to know when to stop to enjoy the rest of their lives with the money they have earned, not in rehab clinics.

Zidane doesn't look like he will be taking over a team like United. I believe that the talks about how Zidane may want to take over PSG and then Pochettino will be freed which could go to United has some merit to it. That way Zidane would be able to manage a team filled with stars which he always stated he wanted a team that has a good roster but underachieves and PSG would be great for him. He is also one of the best champions league managers in the world and PSG wants that cup more than anything else, so it would be perfect fit for them.
Let's see what they will do, I hope that they will do better than expected but Zidane directly to United doesn't really scream chemistry to me, that may not work.

Yes, it would be quite interesting to see Zidane's work in such a championship as the English Premier League, but apparently these plans are not destined to turn into something tangible yet. Therefore, if Zidane fails to get the post of head coach of the French national team, then France and Paris Saint-Germain may still become the next place of work. Just based on previous experience and the style of leadership of the team, I think Paris Saint-Germain will suit Zidane better and the coach himself probably understands this without showing much interest in working at the MU. And Mauricio Pochettino, judging by persistent rumors, can continue his work at Manchester United in the summer.
