Tottenham tried with him last season and it didn't work out for them, I really doubt that they will try again. Bale should be left in their past, they have too much issues with their team to be taking these kind of gambles.

It will be interesting to see how low will Bale have to drop to find himself a club, it would not surprise me if he ended up with Newcastle - he could probably get himself another decent contract there.

No expectations from Bale whatsoever, I think his career is done and whoever brings him is simply wasting money.

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti wants Gareth Bale to leave the team soon, Goal reports. According to the source, the specialist has already notified the management of the club about his decision.

Ancelotti told Florentino Perez that he did not count on the Welshman at all. Recall that Bale's current contract is valid until the summer of 2022, and the player is estimated at 10 million euros.

As part of the current campaign, the winger took part in 3 confrontations for the Royal Club and scored 1 goal. Earlier in the media it was reported that Gareth may return to Tottenham London.

I think they should sell Sterling. Yeah he has got the age but he has lost the touch like he used to and plus there are lot of new and young players with potential to play in that area and develop. Also Sterling is also looking for options to switch to and get some more playing minutes and honestly they should let him go. It's win-win for both team and the player.

If he wants more playing minutes, he obviously does not want to go to a top level club, because the top clubs already have old players who probably play better than him (of course, this depends on the club). I do not know where he will go, but most likely to some mid-level club. I myself have noticed that recently Rahim has been playing worse than before

ESPN claims that Manchester City are planning to resist any kind of offer for their left winger Raheem Sterling from Barcelona in January. He played 15 games in total so far this season and has 2 goals and 2 assists. He is valued €90m now according to Transfermarkt. He is still very young as he is 26. And his contract with Manchester City is continuing until June 30, 2023. It's interesting that Manchester City still haven't extended his contract. Maybe he doesn't want to stay for more years here or the team don't want this. As we know, Guardiola will leave Manchester City in the near future as he made a such statement before as far as I remember. Barcelona would like to benefit from the current situation. But I don't think that they will sign Sterling in January. But they might have a chance next summer.

this is quite a futile action for the city in my opinion. because indeed he is in the city also only on the bench but maybe they are not short of money and they have their own thoughts on this.
on the other hand sterling's performance until now has not changed much and tends to be monotonous and the price of 90 million euros is too big for mediocre performance.

Xavi wants to make necessary transfers in January already. And an addition to the team like Timo Werner would be very good in terms of scoring more goals. Timo Werner's role at his current team is maybe different as he is more likely to open spaces for his teammates and help them score goals rather than having the responsibility of scoring by himself. If he is transferred to Barcelona, I believe that he can score many goals there. But first of all, Barcelona need to make sure whether they can pay his wage without problem as they haven't been good financially recently.
Barcelona since officially made Xavi as the new coach, immediately moved quickly to find new players, especially Barcelona looking for strikers
positions. Since we know Barcelona are short of strikers after Sergio Aguero and Martin Braithwaite were injured, Barcelona are after Timo Werner
and I think it's a gamble. Because we know Werner's form at Chelsea was not so good, but according to the news i got, Barcelona will not buy Werner,
but Barcelona only brought in Timo Werner as a loan player considering that Barcelona was still in a financial crisis. Another option for Barcelona is
to try to bring in Lacazette, who is likely to be sold by Arsenal at a low price. because Arsenal don't want to lose Lacazette for free at the end of
the season. So maybe the price is still within Barcelona's financial reach, I prefer Lacazette who is doing quite well with Arsenal than having to
sign Werner.

I think lacazette is a viable option for Barcelona because I think Barcelona will be able to get him in a short price range. And considering Barcelona's financial situation they cannot afford to get a much better player which they want in my opinion. Because Barcelona is the kind of team that goes for the money moves. But now they don't have any money to make those moves lol  Cheesy
So they have to make do with what they can. I was surprised when I heard they wanted Mbappe but realistically that is not possible for them.

^  Here’s the thing...  Barca is offering City a ‘measly’ 40m GBP for him if the rumors are true.  You how football journos are sometimes.  One journo writes some rumor without any sources and the rest just run with it hoping to get some attention.  Cheesy  They gotta eat something better than Ramen too.  Lol.

^  If Barca offers 120m GBP for him, I’m pretty sure City will bite.  In the next couple of years, I think City will become a selling club, not a buying one during the transfer windows remaining with Pep.  His contract runs out on 2023 and it’s pretty clear that he is not signing a an extension with City.

If Arteta didn’t leave I think 2020/21 would’ve been Pep’s last season at City.

Everything is in front of us, and if you know Manchester citys play style you would agree to say Raheem Sterling has always been a regular for the team and an instrumental one but this season his number of goals can tell the story which is his not in good books with the boss!

Sorry to say this but Pep has a way of chasing players from his team, i recall Yaya left in this kind of a fashion and several others, now we seeing it unravel for Raheem Sterling...and if I were him I would not think twice about staying! Run son!

Transfer rumours:

It seems to me that they will be very busy in Barcelona, and that a lot of players will come and go, judging by this news, some of which have already been mentioned in this topic:
Barcelona are keen on Chelsea's Germany forward Timo Werner, 25, and could make a move to sign the former RB Leipzig player on loan in January. Werner has started just four Premier League games this season.
Manchester City will resist any approach from Barcelona to sign Raheem Sterling, 26, in January. Barca have been linked with a move for the England forward, who has started just three Premier League games this season.
Also, it seems that Manchester City have not given up on Kane and are ready to try again. Will it work this time?
City are also prepared to test Tottenham's resolve in January by reviving their interest in England striker Harry Kane having failed to lure the 28-year-old to Etihad Stadium in the summer.
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers leads a four-man shortlist to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United. Does anyone else believe Solskjaer will survive as a coach until the end of this season?
Former Rangers and Italy midfielder Gennaro Gattuso, 43, has unfinished business at Ibrox amid links with replacing Steven Gerrard as manager. Is Gattuso really coming back to Scotland?

According to Marca, Barcelona are very determined to sign
Chelsea striker Timo Werner at the first opportunity. As we have known so far, he is not having his best times at Chelsea now. He was much better at scoring when he was playing for Leipzig. I wonder if a move to Barcelona would be beneficial for him. I'd really like to see him playing like his times in the Bundesliga.
It could make sense for Barca to sign a player like Timo Werner. I mean he is still young with only 25 years so he has still not reached his best level yet i think and he really is extremely fast which becomes more and more important in the modern football. But as you already said, he is not playing that well for quite some time now, both in the club and in the national team as well. It seems like he is a pretty sensitive player that really needs not only the trust of his coach but also a friendly and supportive media i would say and i don't think he will have that in Barcelona. He also still has a market value of 55M € so that is quite a risky gamble in my opinion.
I think agree as Timo Warner become second player take by Barcelona under Xavi as coach, still have young age but will faced difficult how much money needed to get this player, we know Chelsea will sell with higher value indeed salary for Warner more expensive. Now waiting what will get by Barcelona and how management give much money for Xavi to get player he want, some list like Sterling and Warner become good option for Barcelona team.

So far, Dani Alaves is one of the important players in Barcelona and he is one of the players who have been a part of Barcelona's glory so far, but unfortunately Barcelona still cannot play Dani Alves this season until the end of January later, besides that, Barcelona are also reportedly interested in returning brought in several of their former players who are now playing at other clubs and one of them is Iniesta who is still tied to Vissel Kobe.
He is an important former player who has defended Barcelona for several season before deciding to continue his adventure with several other team.

At his age (38) I don't know for sure why Barcelona were interested in bringing him into the dressing room after he didn't have a club. The lack of experienced players at right-back may be one of the reason why he was signed this season even though we know he is not young anymore. Barcelona may expect something from him and also from his experience in term of helping the team reach their best form after many games that have not lived up to expectation. It's not entirely a good choice, but it helps Barcelona financially to stay frugal.

So what do you think about Dani Alves rejoining Barcellona at the age of 38?

I mean he is a legend, a good player for the locker room but how he can be a good player is his role at his age?

He will probably cost 6m€/y to Barca, do you think is a good move?

Alves (38) is the oldest player to sign for Barcelona. Although this may seem as not so much of a valid move to many, i think he will have a great influence on the team bringing along his experience, strengthening their defence and rubbing off some on the young defenders and players he will be playing with. I think he is a great addition to the team especially at a crucial point in the Barcelona campaign and also with the return of Xavi.

Alves experience so far in barcelona will certainly be very useful for young barcelona players, at the age of 38 I think he still has enough stamina to be able to guard the barcelona defense, besides that I think xavi recruited dani alves not only to strengthen the barcelona defense, but also to strengthen the mentality of the young players so that at least the Barcelona players now have seniors who can indeed help them develop later.
Well he is playing for free so he is excellent move for this financially challenged Barca side. When I say free it is actually 1EUR per week so it is not free but that is something I can pay out without even noticing so I guess even Barca can find the money Smiley If i knew he is willing to play so cheap I would have send him an Email, we are often missing a player or two on Tuesday evening  Grin

Kidding aside, he should be very good for dressing room morale and the experience he brings even if he is not fit to play in first team anymore. I guess he got promised to end the career there and get some other function later on.

I have heard some rumours like Barcelona want to sign Chelsea forward Timo Werner on loan in this January. He played in 10 official games so far (7 in the EPL). And he is injured now but he is expected to return very soon. I wonder if he is still a big part of Tuchel's plans at Chelsea. If he is not, then this transfer is very likely to happen. But first, Tuchel should decide with whom to fill his place. If he is able to fill his place with a very good player, then there is no problem. I really don't like to see this version of Werner. Because I knew him by his big talent in scoring. He was marvelous about it while he was playing at Leipzig. Now, he has a totally different role at Chelsea which is not that I like too much. If he goes to Barcelona, maybe we can start watching the usual version of him and it would help him regain his self-confidence about scoring many goals in a season.
