Reportedly, PSG sporting director Leonardo says that Kylian Mbappe is not likely to leave the team at the end of the season. Because he thinks that Mbappe is close to signing a contract extension with his team. However, we already know how much he wants to play at Real Madrid. And his dreams will come true in less than six months as he will be able to sign for Real Madrid. In this case, Leonardo might be daydreaming I think.  Grin
I don't think that Mbapoe will extend his contract with PSG he is eager to live on free to the club of his dream Real Madrid though football is money now in everything to these days.
I think that in the next few months, anything can happen and of course it will depend on how clever the PSG management is in approaching mbappe contract talks, even if Mbappe don't renew  contract, of course there are certain reasons that make him do that, because in my opinion, if only because of money, of course PSG is a club that is more able to pay for it than madrid, if only because to be of the champion, of course PSG now has a squad that is more qualified and has a winning mentality.
So we don't know what is the real reason for mbappe to want to leave a rich club like PSG Grin.

transfermarkt also reports on all the ups and downs with K. Mbappe and real madrid/psg

Quote
"We were unhappy how Real Madrid behaved," Leonardo said. "When you start negotiations for the world's best player in the last week of the window, a situation was created that we didn't appreciate." The Brazilian made clear that he was unhappy about the situation Real created. Furthermore, Real Madrid never offered the €170 million to €200 million. Those sums, according to Leonardo were a media story.

Mbappe's contract will end on June 2022 so its pretty much next season and I dont think Real Madrid will even try to sign him in the winter transfer. It cost alot of money and Real Madrid might sign him for free after the season end. I personally think that Mbappe might have sign some sort of agreement with Real Madrid to secure his spot there next season

Manchester city and real madrid still have the opportunity to be able to bring in Halland

I'd totally love to watch Haaland play in Premier League but Real Madrid might have better chance though

Haaland is higher than Borussia and most likely he will change clubs during the winter transfer window, it's a mystery to me why he didn't do it this summer.
At the moment he definitely won't move to Barcelona, because they have money for Messi's salary. I don't think it will go to city because they want to buy Kane.
It will not be at all strange if he moves to Bayern Munich, but from next season and this will be announced in winter.
Manchester city and real madrid still have the opportunity to be able to bring in Halland in the January transfer window and it is reported that they have prepared a large enough fund to be able to buy Halland later, last season it was reported that Manchester City had tried to bid for Halland but the offer was rejected by borussia dortmund, i think dortmund keep halland this season because they want to win the bundesliga and there is no way dortmund will release two of their core players at once this season.
I think even if Dortmund will sell Hala and of course Dortmund will only let the player move to another league instead of selling him to Bayern Munich.

As far as I'm concerned, Haaland's next destination could be Real Madrid or a Premier League team. Among the Premier League teams, Manchester City is the most likely to move. Because all the other renowned teams in the Premier League except Manchester City now have experienced and star strikers. There are also in Manchester City, Sterling is a good enough player. However, the formation of Manchester City is 4-4-3. So they need a more experienced striker.

As reported by French newspaper Lequipe, Georginio Wijnaldum has stated that he was also in contact with FC Bayern before his move to PSG. However, Paris made more of an effort to get him, after which he signed a contract with PSG until 2024.

In addition to PSG and Barcelona, Georginio Wijnaldum reveals that he also had talks with Bayern: "There were talks with Bayern Munich some time ago.. Paris were very quick in the negotiations, convinced me of the project and that I'll be part of it" [@lequipe]

Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1437782120861216771

Of course, Georginio Wijnaldum would have been a reinforcement for FC Bayern as well, but I still think he's a good fit for PSG. Let's wait and see if it's enough for a major title this season.

That's a new one. All I knew was Wijnaldum was close with going to Barcelona and even his medical was scheduled but PSG at the crucial point just skimmed in and hijacked the almost done deal by giving him a double-wage contract offer which totally made him change his mind. Well that surprised me and later on Ronaldo to Utd. after City rumours were going strong.

TBH couple of deals were hijacked in this past transfer windows.

It is claimed that Harry Kane could sign a new deal if Tottenham insert a release clause into his contract. But if I were Kane, I wouldn't do such thing. Rather than a release clause and a new deal, he should be a little more patient. I strongly believe that Manchester City will be able to sign him next summer. Maybe Tottenham can demand much more money if they add a release clause.

https://www.eurosport.co.uk/football/transfers/2020-2021/harry-kane-may-yet-sign-new-tottenham-contract-but-manchester-city-have-moved-on-transfer-notebook_sto8540917/story.shtml
On the one hand, it turns out that Kane wants to insure himself in case of a repeat of the situation with the failed transfer in the summer, on the other hand, the behavior of the owner of Tottenham in the summer, on the contrary, should alert Kane and really think about the pitfalls when extending his contract with the club. However, in the case of signing a new contract, Kane should expect a significant increase in wages, the whole question is about the ambitions of the club itself about winning titles. There was information that Mbappe wanted to do something similar about Real Madrid when Paris Saint-Germain offered to extend the contract, but it seems that in France it is forbidden to include such agreements in the contract.

Those stats are as expected. Ronaldo's move in my opinion, was the bigger move compared to that of Messi and one interesting fact is that Cr7 moved to a team where he already had plenty of fans that have been following him fir years even when he was at Madrid or Juve, there were man utd fans that "fully" supported him.  Back at Man Utd, it's just like an homecoming king. Always knew it'd be like this.
I didn't know that jersey sales were this big in football. I mean I knew that there are jersey sales and that is definitely some sort of income for the teams, especially when it is combined as merch sales (scarfs and flags and hats and other stuff etc, ALL shop sales) it becomes big. However, I didn't know it was huge like this, like 181 million pounds from ONE player? That sounds like a huge deal to me honestly.

I always wondered why players like Ronaldo still get a lot more money than any other player, after all he is getting older so I assumed he would be getting less and less but apparently it is not always about just how he plays, it is also about how much he makes for the team as well, if he was given 50 million per year for 3 years then the team would still be in profit, considering more sales coming in even 4 years would eventually be profit.

In the history of the Premier League, Cristiano Ronaldo's shirt has sold the fastest. In addition, Cristiano Ronaldo's new Manchester United shirt is more popular than Leo Messi's PSG shirt. It has nothing to do with ManU, it's a Cr7 thing, he is just unstoppable. This is simply unbelievable that Manchester United have already recouped the £12.9m fee they paid for him.

A lot of Bellingham's value is coming from the fact that he's English. He's a really interesting player and I really like him and hope that Liverpool does sign him, but 100 million is way too much.

If you look at Sancho's transfer, you can see that they already got that amount from a PL club. Then they bought Malen (a slightly worse player) for 3x lower fee.

Somebody in Dortmund is a genius - they recognized the trend and brought English players, English clubs have huge money and need good Englishmen due to quotas.

Haaland is English as well, he has a citizenship (he is born in Leeds). If he signs a contract extension, they will probably sell him for 150 million.

This moments reminds me when Milan brought Kaka back even if only as a loan. As long as the player still has respect for the club, the fans will always support him, wherever he plays.

There are many advantages that a club gets when it manages to bring in top players like Messi and Ronaldo. Sales of jerseys, tickets and club merchandise will also be in great demand. I think the sponsorship will also increase because of the presence of both of them at the club and it looks like a club that manages to sign players like them will have a double advantage. The club had thought of this advantage apparently before they brought anyone into the team.

Yes, Ronaldo and star players are business for the club that managed to bring them in. This isn't the first time happened. Of course, apart from business purpose, they also expect maximum performance from them. When star players are join to the club's with several achievements, the club's business will improve.

It looks like Dortmund would like to get a €100m offer for Jude Bellingham to think of selling him to the club offering it. His market value is now €55m. I think that Bellingham is a player who has a good potential in himself. But I find €100m too much for him now. Manchester City and Liverpool are thinking of signing him but they might give up on him after hearing this if it is more than a rumour of course.
100m is a huge amount. At the moment no club would be interested in paying 100m for Jude Bellingham. If a club like Manchester United or PSG were interested in signing Jude Bellingham, they might be interested in spending that much money. Because they have a lot of money. I think 60-70m is enough for Jude Bellingham. Let's see what Dortmund decides.
According to the Daily Star, Liverpool are the club most interested in signing Jude Bellingham in the 2022 transfer window, and they are reportedly ready to break a club record transfer fee of £80 million for a player who is expected to replace Georginio Wijnaldum who joined PSG this season, now Dortmund has many talents who are transfer targets for other clubs and of course from a financial point of view it will be profitable for Dortmund if they sell them, but of course selling these players will make them have to bury their dreams to be able to stop the dominance of Bayern Munich later in the Bundesliga.

Surely it will be a tough choice for dortmund at this time Grin

First of all, all the news we see now are rumors. Not all rumors are true. However, Liverpool may be really interested in Jude Bellingham. He is a young player and certainly talented. But it would be hard for me to believe that Liverpool would be interested in spending 100m for Jude Bellingham. They may want to spend more money to recruit more experienced players.
Secondly, if Bayern Munich's dominance in the Bundesliga cannot stop Dortmund this season, they will not be able to do so next season. Dortmund is in a good position this season. They have a chance to beat Bayern Munich to win the title. We have to see how successful they will be.

I agree they have been quite this transfer window. I was expecting them to make some signings but except for Konate I didn't see any making the news. With Wijnaldum gone they definitely need a good central midfielder but I think they have some central midfielders like we saw Keita starting once, they have Henderson as well and last match Fabinho also played quite a crucial part in last game. So I think not really a necessity is what I feel like in central midfield area.

Also on a side note, Elliot has been playing quite well for Reds, I must admit which is helping Klopp a lot by not breaking sweat in selecting his teams midfield. Its a shame he got a horrific injury in last match but so far he really made some good contributions.
