It looks like David Alaba might sign a new contract at FC Bayern München. Both Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Oliver Kahn said that they are optimistic, that Alaba will soon extend his contract.

In my opinion keeping David in Bayern's squad for the next years is extremely important. He is one of our best defenders and I would be glad if he extends his contract any time soon. Fingers crossed!

Oliver Kahn on Alaba: "We're in talks with David and his agents. We are getting closer. The last conversation was in a very pleasant atmosphere. We as a club are doing everything we can to keep David and David also knows what he has at Bayern. I'm very optimistic we can keep him"

I would love to see him too playing the next years in Bayern Munich even im not a real Munich fan when they playing the German League.
But its awesome to watch him playing and yes he is important for Bayern and a great player that have special skills.
Fingers crossed he extends his contract.

Inter would be a good option is Ronaldo will stay in Juventus..
Then, we are going to see those two big players playing in the same league again and the competition is going to be strong again.
The new El Classico is going to be Juve-Inter. Grin
I'm not sure if Messi will go to Inter, if it's a real surprise. Can Inter pay for the messi release clause? Interestingly there is no official news yet, we will wait.
Regarding Ronaldo, there are many rumors that he will leave Juventus. The club is no longer able to pay Ronaldo's salary, Ronaldo himself reportedly wants to leave. The club's next goal is PSG. If that happens there won't be a classic match like their time in Spain.

Inter can with the money from China pouring in.  Grin  So yeah..  Some rumors swirling around that Barca's president is ok with unloading Messi and his huge salary asap.

I think there are three clubs who could have the money and prolly the willingness to take him in right now...  Inter, City and maybe PSG.

Manchester United is trying to find another player if they will are not able to get Sancho.

According to rumors they are interest on Douglas Costa.  Wink

They won't be able to get Sancho. Its the price tag which is the hurdle and with Dortmund's director statement it seems like they are adamant on keeping the player now for the season. Its is better to move onto some new target.

Douglas Costa seems to be a good option and they might get him considering how Pirlo is trying to restructure the Juventus squad.

^  Ooof..  It feels like Barca could go on continuing it's spiral downwards.  Koeman?  It's hard to get excited about his appointment.  Remember Everton?  Cheesy

They should've just broke tradition and hired Poch imho.  But would've Poch break his loyalty with Espanyol?  Wink
I am feeling he is not going to complete this season because now we have this news from presidential candidate https://www.goal.com/en/news/even-if-koeman-wins-the-treble-he-wont-be-my-coach-barcelona/112p1t2n8cu9m1ako11c37fuiw

Edit: Mourinho wants Bale back in tottenham https://www.goal.com/en/news/live/transfer-news-and-rumours-live/4toq0fzk644e1d08wdg9kqxvj

@tokeweed it’s a gamble taken by the current president of Barcelona, because if Koeman can restore their glory days then he’ll win the club elections which are scheduled for March 2021. Further Poch did flirt with Barcelona, but of course he wasn’t foolish to join only for few months, and @BitSat19 Mourinho needs to be realistic as Tottenham cannot afford Bale’s huge wages.

Fulham in for Pique, noooooo. I can’t take that rumour seriously, must be total rubbish. If he is to leave Barca surely he would have much better suitors than Fulham?

I am not sure if Pique really is looking for another team in the European top leagues. He won everything with Barca (3x UCL, 8x Spanish title, 6x Spanish cup and  so on). With Manchester United he was very successful in the Premier League as well. He won the World Cup and European Championship with the Spanish team and probably earned enough already. So I don't think he needs to go back to the Premier League. He is 33 years now. Maybe he wants to go the same way as Iniesta and move to Japan? Or maybe the MLS (he would be perfect for Beckhams Inter Miami imho)?

also in my opinion it is garbage news, pique if he were to really leave barcelona he would certainly go to another top team to continue winning other trophies, they are rumors as they were for modric at the inter a few years ago. also too many market news on Barcelona citing the top players as probable starters

Not going to happen.
It is possibly rumors for Fulham in order to hype the fans in the transfer period.
Players such as Pique have good managers that can help them get good transfers with decent money also in the end of their career.

such a gamble, but it can't be worse than Setien...unless Koeman gets rid of the old guard (pique, alba, busquets, suarez, etc), this will be another Valverde, Tata, Setien scenario where the coach won' be able to control the dressing room

talking about FC Barcelona, this just in:

https://twitter.com/sport_en/status/1296094011980238851  Fulham 😂🤣

Interesting transfer rumour. Rodriguez is now 29 and so I wonder what is the price tag that Real Madrid have in mind. Still it's a good love to off load players struggling. His current contract is till next year June. He also has some interest from United and Arsenal.
James Rodriguez needs to leave Real Madrid once and for all, no more loans if he wants to discover himself once again, I doubt that James would cost much, no doubt he is talented, but he's been a flop for quite a long time now, Lazio is a good alternative, they had a good season in seria A last season and Rodriguez will bolster their squad to maybe challenge Juve next season.

But if United or Arsenal are interested as well, the attention/hype the Epl gets can also help James' career, moving to one of those clubs will put him in the spotlight, and he has been far from that for a long time. I'll be disappointed if James remains in Madrid or goes out on loan, but it's possible, look at Gareth Bale for example.
