I'm waiting to see how many top English clubs will be linked with Jack Grealish. In the last week I think we've had Man City, Man United, and Arsenal. Just Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs to go... crazy prices being quoted, too, £100 million is the latest figure.

I think he's worth more than that to Villa, they have money already and won't want to sell at any price... but it may be a fight to hold onto him.

Simone Inzaghi (Lazio) has replaced Antoni Conte at Inter as manager : https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1397964561811226628

Lazio didn't had that good season. I wonder what made them settle with him.

Oh, it is settled then. I hope that Inter could have another decent season with Inzaghi. But as you said, he didn't have a very good season with Lazio. Maybe Lazio didn't have as good squad as Inter's. But still I have my doubts about him whether he is the right manager to fill Conte's place.

Anyway, time will tell.  Smiley

Serie A is always fun, their hobby is exchanging managers. Probably all of the reputed managers working in all top clubs for a few seasons.

I agree. Look at Roma for example. Paulo Fonseca is saying goodbye to the team and Jose Mourinho is going to fill his place. I hope that they also can be more competitive in the next season. But they may need better players in their lineup also to do so.

Sky Sports News has been told Manchester United is "the most realistic destination" for Jadon Sancho despite a number of other clubs also being interested.
https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12319195/jadon-sancho-manchester-united-most-realistic-destination-for-borussia-dortmund-forward

Borrussia Dortmund is open to offers for Sancho, but hasn't set a price or a deadline yet.

United tried last season but Dortmund wasn't lowering the price, they wanted 100+ million Euros. I agree United look like strong favorites again this season, they really need another wide player on the right flank.

Borussia was always a selling club, they said that the price will be a bit lower this season and some respectable journalists are saying he's available for 90 million. Since he's young, English and plays in a position where United needs another player, this transfer seems like it's going to happen.

Massimiliano Allegri chose Juventus over Real Madrid. Which means Pirlo will be fired in the near future, and Simone Inzaghi who chose to move
to Inter.
It's all confirmed now. Allegri has put down his sign on contract keeping him at Juventus until 2025 as manager. I still am having hard time believing he chose Juventus over Madrid. Well he's Italian and he had good time managing Juventus earlier so guess that's it.
I am also surprised that Allegri prefers Juventus over Madrid, but if according to the news I read Allegri chose Juventus, because Real Madrid took too long to decide when Zidane had decided to resign. So Juventus are already in a hurry to make an offer that is difficult for Allegri to refuse. Whatever the reason, actually only Allegri himself knows it. But if you think about it, Allegri is more suitable for Juventus. Because Allegri is indeed an Italian citizen and has also had success with Juventus. Hopefully with the official news of Allegri becoming Juventus coach for the next season, I believe Juventus performance will be much better handled by Allegri who is more experienced than Pirlo.
It's just that Allegri has his own professional and human pride and the limits of his patience are not unlimited Wink As far as I know, Allegri refused all other offers waiting for Zidane's decision and already gave his preliminary consent, and then he was offered to wait again for two weeks without any guarantees, when Zidane had already officially left the club and even with rumors about the favor of the club's management to Raul. Undoubtedly, the current situation favored both Juventus and Allegri, because Juventus, knowing about the negotiations, probably offered more powers to the coach. I feel sorry for what Juventus did and did with Pirlo, but such a big club cannot afford to wait any longer for Pirlo to gain experience and signing a contract with Allegri is the right step in these difficult times, including in financial terms.

David Alaba is a world-class player and he is still doing good. However, his main position is centre-back. Real Madrid have Varane, Ramos and Militao who play there. There will be a huge competition among them.
Don't forget Nacho, he is also a Real Madrid Centre-Back.  Wink
Sure, there will be a competition among them but since Real Madrid plays in UCL, La Liga, and Copa Del Rey, they need more than 2 strong Centre-Back. So far, they only have Ramos and Varane, if Ramos got injured, they only have Varane as a strong CB. This shouldn't happen again in the next season. It is a good decision by signing David Alaba.

Well, I guess Nacho will move to another club.

Borrussia Dortmund is open to offers for Sancho, but hasn't set a price or a deadline yet.

Let's hope that this time Man Utd would be able to bring the youngster in. In the past two transfer windows, it was only talks and no signings. Hopefully this time would be different. Sancho has been heavily linked with Man Utd so they're at the forefront to sign him. Despite being heavily criticized for poor performances at the beginning of the season (after the deal with Man Utd didn't push through), Jadon Sancho has improved lately. That said, he should be an ideal addition to the current Man Utd squads that lacks plenty of creativity in their team and that's something Sancho can provide.

For this deal not to collapse like others, Dortmund needs to reduce their asking price.

Pirlo definitely did not deserved to be sacked, that dude was bringing everything in his hands to the team and tried to make something happened but lets face it Juventus didn't have a proper rotation this year and their starting eleven when healthy played amazing but they missed many players for long amount of times, it was injuries, bookings but differently this year it was also covid as well, their best two players both missed a good chunk of time because of it.
I think some club executives need some brain and mind training about understanding the factors that will affect the team if they are not playing their part very well cause it sad that most of them only put all the blame on the club manager whereas the success of the club has to do with the roles played by the executives, players and the manager.

This is why I think there is a good amount of doubt it was Pirlo that caused the team to be at this level, if given a healthy team next season and a bit more rotation players he could definitely win the league no doubt in my mind, but it was easier for front office to put the blame on Pirlo and send him off and act as if last year didn't happen at all and next year will be different, it won't be unless they get some fresh legs.

at leipzig is now after the departure of D. Upamecano the second defender who leaves the club - leipzig must now look for two strong central defenders... Roll Eyes

Good point, that's two good centre back gone for Leipzig. Guess lot of stars are leaving the club. Good thing for them that they will have good amount for both and can try getting some young defenders and develop them. There is some interest on Ozan Kabak. Still it's a good dent to centre back depth in Leipzig squad.

He will help in a lot of defensive roles hope he can transit quickly to Laliga.

I think he will do quickly. He already has got the experience and it's not like he is a young player who needs time to adjust. He will adapt to Madrid play style quickly.

Konate set to sign for Liverpool

Ibrahima Konate has said he wants to join Liverpool – and is now expected to complete a £36million deal before next week.

The Reds have decided to trigger Konate’s release clause at RB Leipzig after making the 22-year-old their chief target as they look to bolster their centre-back options.

It is understood the player has already agreed personal terms having indicated his desire to move to Anfield.

And the transfer is likely to be completed within the next 48 hours with Konate becoming Jurgen Klopp’s first major signing of the summer.

any other player transfers close to done deal? seems like the manager rumours are stealing the spotlight which is kinda boring, ngl :-P

@FatFork what’s wrong with the Board because when you have Ac Milan goal keeper available on a free transfer, why are they keen to swap De Gea, rather they should sell De Gea and get Ac Milan goal keeper for free. However one thing is for certain De Gea time is up at the club, and I can’t wait to see him leave the club.

I don't think they would replace De Gea. Henderson is a good goalkeeper and I can see him replacing De Gea but guess when it comes to goalkeeper De Gea is considered legend inside. I also think there is no need for them to proceed with Oblak when there is a goalkeeper like Donnarumma free on sale. Of course he is gonna demand a bit high fee but I think United won't have problem accepting his demands.

Manchester United will make an ambitious move for Atletico Madrid keeper Jan Oblak to solve their No  1 crisis.

"And the Red Devils would let blundering David De Gea go the other way as a makeweight in the deal for Oblak — in an attempt to get his huge £375,000-a-week wages off their books."

Inzaghi at Inter, Allegri back at Juve, Poch back at Spurs? Two of those moves are people who brought the most fame to both clubs so I guess that kinda makes sense. Kinda. Benitez back in Premier League? This must be a record season for all these big names in football I can't even keep up anymore. And Barca has the smallest name in this superstar arena Koeman haha.

It is more and more interesting to follow the transfer market for coaches of some of Europe's top clubs, presenting various kinds of dramas,
making it even more attractive compared to player transfers. Starting when, surprisingly, Antonio Conte decided to leave Inter, even though
Conte managed to give the Serie A trophy for Inter. Then Zinedine Zidane decided to resign as coach of Real Madrid, the drama resumed after
Massimiliano Allegri chose Juventus over Real Madrid. Which means Pirlo will be fired in the near future, and Simone Inzaghi who chose to move
to Inter. Lazio management did not respond to this well, even though Lazio's official website expressed its disappointment with Inzaghi's decision.
The most interesting thing is the struggle for Real Madrid and Tottenham who want Pochettino, maybe in the next few days we can get the latest
updates on where Pochettino will move.
