Unfortunately this big break really puts Barcelona on the radar to drop eventually and that is why they need to get players who will make a huge difference for the team and they need to change the coach back to Pep if they can even afford to get him.

Messi is not getting any younger, dude is 32 and going to be 33 soon, he can play maybe 1-2 more years of superstar level but after that he is not going to really make that much of a change, xavi and iniesta has been gone for a long time as well, all of that golden years is leaving Barça from pique to everyone else, they are going to rely on the youth. Getting Coman is not a bad decision but Barça is known to raise amazing youth as well, I would have expected them to find some new stars in their youth system instead.

Both Barca & Real need to build a new team, they both have players getting into their 30’s. Football goes in cycles, Real & Barca have dominated European football for along time. Maybe it’s time for other teams to take the manyoe now.

Coman is a great player, if he could stop getting so many muscle injuries & stay fit he has the potential to be one of the most exciting players in Europe. He’s still so young, I can see him being a big success if he goes to Barca.

Rumours about a departure of the winger are gathering pace for months now. At Werder, he still has a contract running until 2022, which is understood to contain a €38 million release clause for a transfer abroad.

The finances of football clubs would be hit hard during this period, and considering Madrid is a Spanish club, one of the countries most hit by the pandemic, I expect the impact would be felt much.
This would likely effect their market activity when the season restarts. They may not be able to engage in much big money sign-ins (like Mbappe or Halland) early on after football resumes.

Speaking of Real Madrid club transfers are endless, Real Madrid did spend 300 million euros in the summer of 2019, but that does not seem to affect their activities in the 2020 summer transfer market.

According to the Daily Mail report, they will try to hook Erling Haaland who is currently defending Dortmund, then in 2021, Los Blancos will recruit a player who has long been a target, Kylian Mbappe.

Real Madrid planning to sign Haaland this summer and Mbappe next year Shocked  We're gonna be unstoppable once they're in the team  Cool

Do you guys see this happening?

I think Haaland has a clause that he can’t leave until summer 2021? You should go for Mbappe this summer & leave Haaland to prove he can do it in a big league for a whole season before spending big on him.

Nope, probably fake news/clickbait.
Halland can leave from summer 2022 (source: https://www.calcioefinanza.it/2020/02/21/haaland-clausola-rescissoria-dortmund/ this is in Italian but you can probably understand from Spanish) and there is no way to see Haaland and Mbappe on the same team, they are incompatible on the same team.

Mbappe contract will expire on 2022 if he will not extend then next year he can leave for 120-150m € and there a race will start probably with the usual friends Barca Real Juve City PSG and Inter.

Kane is not sure to stay on Spurs as he said on his last Interviews.
Dude, it's not what he said...

I couldn't say yes, I couldn't say no, I love Spurs and i'll always love Spurs. But If I don't feel we are progressing as a team or going in the right direction, then I'm not someone to stay there for the sake of it.

The main idea could be explained a lot better and a lot easier. Just to give an example, lets say there is player A, player A is considered the best player in the world, or at least top 3 every year he plays, this is your messis and ronaldos basically, there is also Player B, he is young and he is quite good, you would definitely put him in your top 20, but more like 14th and not at the top, however he is 24 and he is 14th so that makes him quite valuable. Now why does the player B gets to be the most expensive player in the world but not player A?

Well, simply player A stays at his club for a while during that period and never leaves, since he is always at his club and maybe retire there (messi) or only transfer when he is too old for any other player but not for him (ronaldo) he doesn't get that huge transfer, whereas the player B does get a transfer from one team to another which is why he gets to become the most expensive player for a while, not because he is the best one.

FC Bayern München and several other European Clubs are interested in the 24 year-old striker Alexander Sørloth. He scored 19 goals in 26 games this season in the Turkish Süper Lig. He could be a good addition to Bayerns squad and help if Robert Lewandowski is injured or needs a break, but I doubt that he will move to Bayern this summer. Bayern should be more focussed on Havertz or Sané. What do you guys think?

Bayern are among several European clubs interested in Trabzonspor striker Alexander Sørloth (24). Sørloth is on loan from Crystal Palace but Trabzonspor have a €7m option to buy and hope to get a €25-30m fee in the summer. Sørloth is current top scorer in Turkey [@footmercato]

When someone becomes the most expensive player in history at a certain point, then he is expected to play at the level of the best player in history and it's obvious that this did not happen here.
Pogba is a great player but he is not the level of Messi and Ronaldo and he is definitely overpaid.
In my opinion Neymar is also overpaid because he was mostly injured in recent years in Paris and gave very little to the club and showed great disrespect to them.

That is not a good statement in my opinion.
Players become the most paid player in the world but often is not the best player in the world.
The price is influenced by many things, manager age advisement money years left on his contract, etc.

For example, Neymar is the most paid player ever but his value is overvalued for his skill.

If Neymar is worth 220 then CR7 is worth 300 and Messi (only cause is younger than CR7) is worth 350.
And for sure if Neymar has been paid 220 Pogba at 100 is was not a bad price at all.

Again Pogba is still on the top 5 in the world, who is the best in his world in the midfield? kevin de bruyn?

The value of De Bruyn is 150m€ 120 after the Corona, how much Pogba is worth? 60?

Is De Bruyn 2 and half time stronger then PP6?

Pogba has been virtually anonymous for 2 seasons, he’s very naturally talented I will admit, he has the perfect physique, he’s tall, strong, good in the air, fairly quick & has a great shot, good vision to pick out passes but imo he hides when the going gets tough. Maybe I’m just spoilt because I’m used to seeing Klopp’s LFC every week but I wouldn’t want Pogba anywhere near my team.

He’d probably cost 100 million GBP & for that money there are lots of players I’d prefer!

Don't be influenced by the media.
This year got injured.

Last year was the best for him

^^I still wonder why Pogba is so overvalued.
Icardi can provide a bigger added-value to the team that is going to sign him compared to Pogba. And still he is cheaper than him. Additionally, Icardi has a better past seasons than Pogba and an amazing last season with Inter.

Lol, ideally almost everyone says Pogba is overrated but I don't know why. Is it just conspiracy??
Pogba is in a league of its own either if he goes to Madrid or back to Juventus, there's none like him.
Pogb

Icardi is likewise a good player, but he cannot perform in Ac Milan because the team lacks creativity.
Once the season restarts, am sure Pogba has alot to proof wrong

Pogba is top player, for sure one of the top 10 maybe top 5 in world. of course when playing constantly which we don't see on a long time.
But his best quality from a financial perspective is marketing potential. There is for sure just behind Ronaldo. So if you buy Pogba, you will pay more for them, but he is a money-making machine, especially in big clubs like ManU, Real M.
Now the question is why is he more marketing profitable than Kane, Aguero or Mane. It is just an example but these players do a much better job at their clubs than Pogba, of course, for less money.

I still don't understand how people can say this.
Pogba is not overvalued is playing in a team where he wanted to leave 2 years ago and stats on hand is still probably on the top 5 midfielders in the world.
I can sell 3 players from Juventus midfield at the closed eye for him.

The overvalued player of this year is Eriksen.
He was considered a top player but in reality here in Italy so far he is not even an above average player.

I think with Pogba it’s work ethic & attitude that gets questioned. He’s clearly a very good player but he doesn’t seem to be too bothered about proving it too often. The excuse of Man Utd not being a great side is sort of valid but lots of great players have done very well in shit teams and made them much better. Gerrard singlehandedly at times dragged very average Liverpool teams in the 00’s to win trophies.

Icardi is willing to return to Italy, I think that is a certainty already. But I doubt it will be to AC Milan, for various reasons. Financially, he can get a much better deal at Juventus who is looking for a real #9 and are willing to offload Higuain. He has a better chance winning trophies at Juve who are always the favorites in Italy and perform well on the European stage as well. Going to Juventus opens makes him a favorite for a starting place in the national team, etc, etc.
