Oh, Salah is definitely going to stay with Liverpool. Source: my gut. I know, we're a selling club but only if the player insists on going, and Salah isn't to me the type of player to leave so quickly the club that brought him his fame and all those multiple awards - he's a humble guy, and he will want to do his dues before moving on, if ever. And that's really what I like about Liverpool, plus Klopp, in that they're buying players as much for their potential as for their personalities. I'm REALLY liking the personality of our new guy Fabinho, not yet sure about Fekir. Keita's got a few red cards since signing to move, but otherwise I like the guy.

Yes, I actually do care about personalities in the team. You don't want toxic superstars.

But agree. I like all these players coming in, but we need huge cover. Two more CBs at least, because Lovren is... well he's Lovren. Hope Alisson really makes a surprise move too. I really have had enough Mignolet/Karius nightmares.

Fernandinho is so good he's become the "benchmark" to evaluate how good a defensive midfielder is (or can be) in the EPL Cheesy

and people seem to compare Fred with Fernandinho, not bad if you ask me, although I would prefer someone like Casemiro.

Man Utd have signed Diogo Dalot. I think he's going to be another Guillermo Varela. In case you guys don't know, Varela was a also a "promising" young RB who barely played with the Red Devils. Manchester United signed him on a 5-year contract, then he went on loan to several teams until he eventually went off the radar.

Some rumours:

- Atletico madrid are interested in Suso (AC Milan). The spaniards would have to pay €40m.

- According to Bild, Lewandowski's agent has offered the player to several top clubs, but Bayern Munich are not willing to sell him for less than €200m (LOL).

- The Jorginho transfer saga continues. Napoli wants more than €50m for the italian midfielder, Manchester City aren't willing to pay that much so they've offered the left back Zinchenko to see if Napoli can negotiate for a lower price.

I thought he was going to sign with Man City but I guess Jorginho was the top priority.

But i think it's a good signing for Man Utd, although, I wonder if he's going to be in the starting lineup next season (next to Pogba and Matic, maybe?) or if he's there to add some depth to the squad (bench player next to Herrera, Fellaini, McTominay, Mata).

In other news, Arsenal have signed Lichsteiner. Not bad if you ask me...free transfer, adds some experience to the squad, and he can rotate with Bellerín.

According to Sky Sports, Diogo Dalot (Porto) is very close to signing with Man Utd ^[1] . I have no idea who this guy is, does anyone know if he's good?

Look at where all their ex-managers and the team they are managing they are still on pretty good teams. José Mourinho is with Manchester Unites and Carlo Ancelotti is on Napoli, I mean any team will want a Champion's League experienced manager for their squad, they won't run out of job offers after being sacked by Real Madrid. Plus the money that they would make would be extremely more compared to their previous job.

It isn't as simple as that. Poch just signed a 5 year extension on his contract after a good talk with Daniel Levy with the latter promising on giving Poch a good transfer budget for this summer window (I think from reading all the news).

But we can have some fun with it and make a side bet if you want... I say Poch will not leave the Spurs this year. 10 bucks. Grin

And btw... This was mostly ignored in the thread but Pelligrini is West Ham's new manager. The football there should be good for the eyes this season.

We should wait and see if Daniel Levy does fulfill his promise and give to Poch a very reasonable transfer budget for the upcoming season. I am sure if he fails to deliver Poch will not think twice about leaving the club.

I doubt that Poch would sign without knowing the transfer budget in advance, I read somewhere that the budget is somewhere around 120 million euros, more than enough to sign some top players, especially if the sell a few of their own and add the money they get to the budget.

This was indeed totally unexpected for Real Madrid and now they have a very difficult of replacing one of the best managers that they have ever had and I don’t know any manager who can effectively replace Zidane because most of them are currently Club tied.

A whole host of managers are available such as Sarri and Blanc, they shouldn't have a problem finding a replacement. I've heard that they have already started interviews.

i'm hearing that they are now targeting Juventus Allegri and after they failed their negotiation with Poch and Klopp. I think he is currently the best manager out their but i think that he promised Juve fans to be back next season unless Managing Real Madrid was his dream job then he could force his way out of Italy but in my opinion Sarri or Roma manager Di Francesco are the most suitable for Real Madrid as they play more offensive style. I think Real Madrid fans at the end wants a manager that plays like Guardiola but not Guardiola himself so it will be interesting to see who will be the final one to land the job.
