Elsewhere, Thomas Muller has announced his retirement from the German national team and this year's Euro will be the last event he will participate in. It doesn't feel like he has been a mainstay for the German national team at international level, but in the last competition he took part in he started to decline and we rarely see him starting. Despite all that, he will still play football with Bayern Munich next season and his contract will end in 2025.

Compared to Kroos, this is an expected decision, and he is not finished with club football. It will be interesting to see what happens in a year - whether he retires from football altogether or goes to Saudi Arabia. Müller spent his entire career in Bayern, 17 years, and it seems to me that it is unlikely that he will go to play somewhere else for additional money.
Thomas Muller is obviously the face of Bayern Munich. From the young age till now, he has been fully committed to the course of the German giants. I nicknamed him "Bayern machine". It is a pity that he ended his international football in such a not wonderful way. However, he has the club football to make things right. No one is expecting him to play for 90 mins of every match. He should only come in when his experience is needed because there are alot of good forward in the Bayern team.

Apart from the football role, he is one of the players to direct Vincent Kompany in some certain things. Whenever a coach falls out of love with an important player like Muller, it used to be disastrous.

The tweet further clarifies De Ligt's future and if Man United succeeds in bringing him in, next season will be much better. De Ligt's agent has also spoken to Man United representatives even though PSG are also reportedly interested in him, now De Ligt prioritizes joining Man United over other clubs. It seems that Kompany doesn't really like De Ligt's style of play so he is not retained and another reason is to use the money from the sale to recruit other players.
Yes, because Bayern Munich is currently increasingly targeting Jobathan Tah and is working on his move from Leverkusen to Bayern Munich, Man United's opportunity to sign Matthijs de Ligt will be much more likely to be achieved. It's just that until now there has been no clear agreement between the two clubs.

De Ligt's signing should be quite in line with Ten Hag, it's like a reunion later. It's just how Ten Hag can really optimize his abilities at the club, Man United, that will be his consideration. But so far, reportedly, Man United has had to spend £42million to get de Ligt. And they are preparing it for sure.

In fact, Man United's signing was expected to happen last week, but the deal has not yet been completed and is still pending. We just have to wait for the report on the results of the negotiation agreement between the two clubs.

Ending his national team career at that age makes sense, you could say he left at the most ideal time, at the very peak of his powers. I don't even know how long he will last in football in general, his speed is no longer the same, although his style of play and vision of the game is at an excellent level, he can still teach others how to do it as well
At this point, Thomas Muller did not have much contribution to give in any team he is going to because of his age; he could have just retire just as Tony Kroos did after they got eliminated in the Euro 2025, but he wanted to extend to another team which I don’t think will give the team any positive consistent contributions because right now, he is limited to number of matches been played at Bayern Munich due to his age and strength; although he still have good finishing ability but we cannot cheat nature and he would not last more than two seasons in football again.

If Germany had won the home Euro, it would have been an excellent end to Müller’s career and for Kroos as well, Spain was luckier, they will remember this hand ball play for a long time, but nothing can be changed. Probably only Germany could stop such a Spain... Yes, Müller will spend several more seasons in the Bundesliga without any problems, but it is clear that he is no longer as good as before, he will probably play as long as the coach gives him such an opportunity, and when he starts spending too much time on the bench then decide to end his career.

One of Germany’s most decorated footballer this is certainly the right time to give youth the chance to showcase their talents. I don’t think any of the current or active German players have the stats that this man has in international games for Germany. Golden boot winner at the World Cup, youngest teenager to do it then, numerous golden both runners up. There wasn’t a Germany world without the spectaculars from Thomas muller. He is surely retiring in high, and he left German with a worthy replacement in person of Jamal Musiala.

As for club football I think he wouldn’t also go past his current contract with Bayern Munich, even if he intends to continue playing football it might be outside the club he has spent his entire years at. And I don’t think Muller will be playing for another European club aside the Bavarians. He might wants to explore outside Europe too but I doubt. So the club football ending might be here too sooner or later

It is undeniable that with the age of 35 it is clear that in the end this must be done because forcing the will to continue to be in the German national team will be increasingly difficult for Muller so it is very good for him to retire for now.

He is no longer young and Germany is one of the teams that is indeed very good and always one of the favorites when competing so it is certain that he takes into account and gives space to young players to contribute further in the upcoming state competition.
Looking at the Caps that Muller has given for Germany, if you look at the 131 Caps that he has given it seems like he is one of the players who has the most appearances in Germany because he only lost to Lothar Matthaus with 150 Caps and Klose with 137 Caps.

I wonder how ManU can make countless expensive transfers every year without breaking the financial fair play rules?
They manage to balance their books pretty well, that's the reason. A club does not break PSR rules by just spending money, the rule is broken when they are spending more money than they are earning, and if they are funding the club from outside sources, different from what the club itself earns.

Manchester United have so far done none of that, they have kept their spendings within their earning limits, there've also been outgoing players, so they have managed to balance their books as regards PSR.

He is 34 years old, he probably can no longer withstand competition with younger players, and by the way, Bayern also has a very busy schedule and quite high competition, so it would not be surprising if he decides to end his career with the German national team. During the period when Tuchel was the coach of Bayern, he also did not always get a place in the starting lineup, I don’t know how it will be with Kompany. Perhaps Müller does not have much time left in Bayern, and I doubt that he is going to move to some other teams, I am almost sure that he will be with Bayern until the end.

It's natural for Muller to end his career with the Panzer team, we know very well that he is old enough to end the international event with his national team. At the age of 34, Muller is no longer a player who can be relied on as a first choice. That's why Thomas Muller prefers to resign from the German national team, his age will also increase in the upcoming annual tournament. Likewise, when the Bundesliga starts, Muller's situation will not necessarily be the main choice in the line-up of players who make up the main squad at Bayern Munich. If I'm not mistaken, Muller has previously expressed his intention to end his career at Bayern Munich. yeah, during Nagelsmann's era as coach at Bayern Munich. if I'm wrong, please correct me. But actually Muller is an important part of a team, whether at Bayern Munich or in the German squad. It's just that he is no longer young and not as aggressive as before. So the time will come when Muller will also leave Munich, it could be that in the next season Muller will also end his career at Bayern Munich.

Indeed Thomas Muller is a great player. Everyone is well aware of his abilities. The way he played the game and the way he shared his ground with teammates are just absolutely outstanding. Each and every style of play is unique in every aspect, whether it is an attacking scenario like scoring a goal for the team or providing an assist or being a part of team play. But ultimately, when the age increases, even the best player becomes weak. Thus far Thomas Muller has now reached such an age that it may become difficult for him to do the same as before. At a young age, the stamina of the player is strong, so he can perform every movement in a better way.

However, I think Muller should now make a retirement announcement from Bayern Munich because his performance is not the same as before. Muller is planning to retire from Germany, but I believe it would be more beneficial to do so from Bayern Munich now at this time. Because Muller was removed from the regular sheet in the previous season as well.

I've always wanted his next club to be Chelsea football club. I know what impact he'll bring for them and also the relationship he'll have with Cole Palmer, Nkuku and other creative players in that squad.
His movement had nothing to do with Antonio Conte,  he had it already in mind. It's the best decision for him to make. Helping Napoli lift the Scudetto Competition after 33 years is such a great win for him personally.
Victor Osimhen at the Chelsea realistically looking possible but for this we have to go for some favor from the Napoli president which is insisting for the high fees which is not coming from any club and things are going tense day by day because we all know Osimhen wants to leave this club and having some other place for his rest of career, but Napoli management is not cutting about their asked price target which is creating problem even as things are going Napoli can take good advantage if they are having their policy soft about sell of this player, but personal ego is going to hurt all.

Antonio Conte which is now having new job as Napoli coach surely going to be had perfect if we have Osimhen for another season but as we have condition here at the Napoli it's looking not easy now we are having end of the Copa América and Euro 2024 which will bring more good options for the many clubs so we can hope this all will be also ended on positive.

Bayern are in stance to sell De Ligt to the Manchester United. And Romano's tweet above has explained all.

In my opinion, i don't like this transfer decision by Kompany and Bayern Munich. I'd rather keep De Ligt and sell Upamecano. Then, use the money from selling Upamecano to recruit Jonathan Tah. The decision to sell De ligt, then replace him with Tah is a blunder by Bayern munich.
This is because it sounds like you're replacing De Ligt with a cheaper and worse player than him. Tah is playing in the same position as De Ligt.
The tweet further clarifies De Ligt's future and if Man United succeeds in bringing him in, next season will be much better. Every coach or management has a different view of the players they have, although if you compare De Ligt to Jonathan Tah it is completely different. It seems like a hasty decision by Bayern Munich, but it seems like De Ligt is not the type of player that Kompany likes.

It is a wise decision. Germany already has many young players, they don't need Thomas Muller anymore. As far as I know, Kroos also retired after this Euro, German national team needs to have a new generation. I also expect Manuel Neuer to retire as well because he is already 38 years old. Ter Stegen deserves to replace him as the main goalkeeper of Germany. Muller and Neuer can focus on Bayern Munich until the end of their contracts. They may retire from football professional player when their contracts expire.

That is the ideal time for Muller and it is also quite reasonable because his current age is not too old but he realizes that regeneration for the national team is necessary.
The caps he has recorded for the German National Team have been very good even he is also one of the players who brought Germany to the world cup in 2014 so it is not wrong that he decided to leave the current squad.

He is aware that there are several potential young players who are more able to contribute well such as Musiala or Wirts who can be placed in the position he currently has and Muller has enough to be in the German national team because from 2010 to 2024 it is enough to make him a legend in the German midfield.
In the end, this Euro seems to be a farewell for several star players in several countries because it is possible that after Kroos and Muller there will be several players who are considered old like Pepe or Cristiano who decide to follow in their footsteps to retire from the national team.
It is time for Thomas Muller to give opportunities to younger players, he is the number three player who has collected the most appearances with 131 caps, and the number six top scorer for the German national team with 45 goals. His final performance may not have been a pleasant one, as Germany was knocked out by Spain in the quarter finals, as was Kroos. At club level, Thomas Muller is still under contract for one more season, in my opinion he is still worth keeping, at least as a rotation option for Kompany. It seems that Manuel Nuer is the most veteran in the German national team at the moment, who won the 2014 World Cup trophy.

Müller has also retired at the same age with Kroos. I'm not surprised with Müller's decision though. I didn't expect him to go to Saudi Arabia and I don't know whether there was any offer too.

However I must say that Kroos' retirement decision surprised me much more.  Sad  He was still fit and performing impressively. He wasn't having much issues with playing regularly for Real Madrid. He performed in Euro 2024 as well. He could have actually played for a couple of more years but its his decision anyway. I respect that. Ancelotti has already stated that he is ready to have him back if he changes his mind. It is a matter of a phone call only.

Manchester United have signed Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna. Manchester United will pay a fee of around 45 million Euro to Bologna for this player.
Zirkzee, who came out of the Bayern München youth system and played for Anderlecht and Bologna, will now play in the Premier League. I think he went to the wrong place as a team, even though he was right in terms of league choice. I hope his career continues as he wants.

This player can play well in the Italian league but we shouldn't forget that this is the EPL where even some of the best players come and become flops. I'll still say it that nobody should say  Zirkzee is going to bring the best of Manchester United yet until we see his performance with the Red Devils, we have players in the Man UTD dressing room that haven't played half of what they were playing in their previous clubs so is too early, we know UTD are bad at making a player play his best, is just a matter of time to see this guy in action.
I hope Manchester United did not act too early like Hojlund. Of course, Zirkzee is a little better than Hojlund. I think Zirkzee can be successful in the EPL. A good transfer for Manchester United is on paper. I hope he can quickly adapt during the year and have a better year.
Hojlund might be angry about Zirkzee's move, but remember that the kid was hurt last season. We've seen signs of his ability, but not all the time. Zirkzee has his own problems to solve. It's a new league, with new players and everything. That Hojlund knows about the EPL has to count for something. United has choices up top if they both stay fit. Oh my God, that's huge. With how often these guys get hurt, you need backup to win. There is no doubt that it is a risk. But hey, Ten Hag is the boss, not me. Before we give out prizes, let's watch what they do on the field

This Hojlund versus Zirkzee debate is heating up, and for good reason. Sure, both men have potential. Dont get ahead of ourselves. Zirkzee is talented yet fresh to the Premier League. He must prove he can handle the world's hardest league. Despite injuries, Hojlund has persevered. He's ahead.

You know what? Competition is good. It improves you. Makes you hungry. We need that at Manchester United. Guys who compete for their spot and push each other to be the best are needed.

If these two stay healthy, we have a one-two punch. Zirkzee has imagination and flare, Hojlund has speed and finishing. That mix is awesome.

Glory To Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!

Thomas Muller have been one of longest serving players in the history of Germany national team so I think his retirement from the national team after 14 years of playing representing his country is a good decision for a player at his age. If Germany had won this summer's UEFA Euros Championship, Muller would've left the national team on a high but unfortunately for them, they were eliminated by Spain who eventually won the tournament. I think Muller still have one or two years to play professional football again at club level and for him to still remain at Bayern Munich till this very moment, I think German striker wants to end his football career at the club.
Thank you Muller for how you gave us  your best in your years as an international footballer

He only played 2 times during Euro 2024, which means he is no longer the mainstay player he was when he was young, one of the reasons is because he is no longer young and now there are many young players in the German national team, even though they still have a lot of appearances. lacking, and cannot be compared to Muller when he was young. I already knew about his decision, because previously he also said that this would most likely be the last competition he would take part in with the German national team before deciding to retire.
He was one of the players who contributed a lot when Germany won the 2014 World Cup, which was the highest achievement he ever achieved with Germany. It will definitely be very difficult to decide this, but the fact is that players have to make this decision for one reason or another. He will accompany Kroos, who has already retired from his career as a footballer.
