Will next season be like that? I think the possibility of reshuffling players by looking for and bringing in players at a large enough price will still continue for Chelsea to do next season especially with a new coach then their next season plans will definitely change and this will obviously be a little troublesome for Chelsea even though their money is still there but still waste will continue to occur for them.
Currently some rumors say that they will bring back some players especially for their attacking line although nothing can really be confirmed because the transfer of players is also still not quite crowded but for some current rumors it is starting to get interesting.
Openda is one of Chelsea's target players this season and of course Leipzig will not release their players at a cheap price if you reflect on the previous Nkunku case then Openda's price could be the same or even more expensive if Chelsea hopes for this player.
Chelsea's spending just started because the new coach will do his own shopping too; he will sign some players he thinks will be better for his team and sell out some players he thinks cannot help his plan and the team, even though the team has yet to get the best out of the player since they signed him. This change of coach will never favor them on time; it will make the management keep losing money since all new coaches come with the mindset of being given some money to sign more players.
Maresca can buy his target as long as he gets Todd Boehly's acceptance, although Chelsea has a 1:1 transfer policy. When a club is looking for a new player, Chelsea shall have sold one player, before recruiting another, to ensure the Blues do not make the same mistakes by breaching PSR guidelines.
Maresca will have to be patient, as the summer transfer season has yet to begin. Maresca can plan which players he will target, but I don't expect a major revamp from him.
And, once again, I'm sure Maresca has an agreement with Chelsea that he will not be able to make player moves on his own; instead, Chelsea's management will be looking for players for him. You are incorrect in assuming that Chelsea is always willing to pay the new coach.
Finally, as Chelsea's owner, Todd Boehly retains complete control over the players' transfers, which was also the primary reason for Pochettino's departure from the club.
