Didn’t Mason Greenwood have a lot of problems with Erik ten Hag? He also expressed his feelings about leaving Old Trafford if I recall correctly. So I think it is going to be good for Manchester United because they will be able to sell him.
This is false
The only reason that he was dropped out of the main squad was because he was charged with sexual assault offence from his ex girlfriend thus the club dropped him to save their public image. He had nothing to do with Ten Hag and obviously if Manchester United ever put him in the main squad again, Ten Hag would obviously be using him as his lineup
Back then he was one of the top choices for Ten Hag though but given that the club want to save their reputation, he might be sold to another club
Wait so if a player from the squad gets just alleged, not proven to be guilty, just alleged to have sexually assaulted his girlfriend, the club has to make sure that he does not stay in the club to save their reputation? But when they have some PR stuff being done with iShowSpeed that does not hurt the club? Does that increase the reputation? Maybe I am just too old but that’s not how it should work. Maybe I am wrong but if a player is going through a rough time, the club should help him in my opinion. By the way, was he just alleged or proven to be guilty? I thought he was just alleged, no?
This is all Greenwood's fault, he has hurt his own career by doing things he should have avoided. This made the coach and the team disappointed with him because whether he liked it or not, it tarnished his name, so Manchester United also considered that. In my opinion, this is a wise thing, because apart from appearance, a player's brush must also be maintained, both on and off the field. And Greenwood must be responsible for what he did.
I think any team would do the same thing if their players committed off-field offenses that required them to be punished. Because the team itself will definitely save their reputation. This is a very natural thing for them to do, because a team will prioritize their reputation. Now it's better for them to let him go if a team is interested in bringing him in, because at Manchester United he doesn't contribute any more now.
I understand very well why the club did this. But I am surprised that nobody is seeing any problems with this. So any woman can actually come out and say that a famous football player has committed sexual assault on her and his career will be over even if he is not Guilty? The charges against Mason Greenwood were dropped. Does that mean he was guilty? I don’t think the judges actually found him to be guilty.
