Kalvin Phillips is 28 years old. and he still can't be an option in Man City's main squad. he couldn't compete with the other players on the team. he had no problems with the coach and also his friends on the team. he went to West Ham to get more playing time. I hope he can shine with West Ham.
On the other hand, Man City is also thinking about bringing in new players. Pep always thinks things through well. if someone leaves, of course, they are preparing to bring in new players to the team.
Kalvin Phillips actually is a good player but he can't be the main player because Rodri played very impressive and Man City has some options in the same position. Man City has 4 players for the position of defensive & central midfielder (Rodri, Kovacic, Nunes, and Kalvin Phillips). It is difficult for Kalvin Phillips to play regularly because other players also played well. The only solution for him is to move to another team, he has done the right decision to move to West Ham. He may get more times to play in West Ham, so he has a chance to play again with his best form. I believe Kalvin Phillips isn't over yet, he still has an opportunity to return to his best career.

Kalvin was able to find time in 12 games last year, which is very little time. Pep did not give him many chances, which is natural because it was very difficult for Kalvin to shine when Pep had world-class midfielders.
Indeed. Pep has 4 world-class midfielders in the same position.
We can understand if Kalvin Phillips can't get enough time to play. Moreover, other midfielders could play better than Kalvin Phillips.

Now it's time to embark on a new adventure. I hope he gets successful results in this adventure.

Kalvin Philips had a time to forget at Manchester city although he won so many tittles which could be equivalent to the number of games he played. The game time at first was due to the fact that he was injured but after coming back I will simply say Pep didn’t just like the playing style because it had nothing to do with his ability. There were matches were Pep could have brought him in but he didn’t and rather went ahead for other options like even playing Bernando Silva or John stones in the midfield pivot with Rodri. Many thought it was because of Rodri form that kept Kalvin Philips out of the line up but it wasn’t it was actually pep that just didn’t trust him and that left him on the bench. Look at Nunez that just arrived he hasn’t had the game time he needs and it’s frustrating again.

After rarely getting playing minutes at Manchester City, Kalvin Philips finally moved to West Ham on loan. This agreement is valid until the end of this season and there is a purchase option clause for West Ham. I think it's time for Kalvin Philips to start forgetting Manchester City because the competition there is very tight with other players and it's not that Kalvin Philips is bad, it's just that under Pep Guardiola he wasn't the first choice.

If his performance is convincing at West Ham then he will definitely be made permanent and at least that would be better for his career while he is still competing in England. Even if in the end he has to return to Manchester City then he will only be a bench warmer again and that will make his career not shine again. Well, congratulations to Kalvin Philips, he took the right steps before it was too late.
I mean, he really deserved playing more, he showed how amazing he could be at Leeds and then suddenly when City got him, he stopped playing that much and it was like City just didn't want to play against him anymore and that's why they bought him. Because, why would you spend 50 million on a player and not play him at all, if it was more about like how he played and he was bad then I would say they were right, but he played and he was good, and yet they still didn't play him.

I can sort of see why, they have good players there, but he should have played a bit more or not be bought at all if they have good players in the same position. With West Ham, he could get a lot more time, and that way he could show the world that he is still as good as he was at Leeds.

I understand that he had shown good things. But that Manchester City, you will always have to be more. It is almost like you have to perform much better than even the coach asks from you. And of course that was not something he did. He did show good signs. But there are a lot of other players who are better than him in Manchester City. So of course the coach is not going to choose him over them.

I also agree that with his new club, he will get more chances to prove himself. And maybe if he can, he will be able to successfully land himself in another big club. But at the moment Manchester City is not the right option for him.

Onana is having some hard times as it seems. He got degraded in his national team and I think he is not the number one anymore. He is also having some difficulties at Manchester United and now the question comes up whether he will soon decide to change something about his situation. Once being considered a super talent, he is now running into trouble on so many fronts. I guess ten Hag is the only one who will stick to him, but if one day Manchester United gets a new coach, it could also mean that Onana will lose his number one status in the club, too.
It's more like a personal conflict with Eto'o instead of his performance.

Ok but I wonder whether it really is like this when the president of a football nation decides to exclude a player, did this happen again the opinion of the coach? I don't know enough about African football, but I thought that it is primarily the coach of a team who gets to decide who will play and who won't.

I remember reading some other stuff about him when he attacked a fan or something. To me it seems that Eto'o should sort out some of his problems or let the people make the decisions who are in the right position for that. Obviously, a coach would have a hard time deciding against Eto'o, but that's how it usually should be.

In Phillips's case, I can't help but wonder if he was Pep Guadiola's signing. I feel like Pep didn't ask for him, but the club wanted to sign him or he asked for a back of DM and the club signed him.
I'm saying this because Phillips is not so bad to the extent that even when Rodri is injured, he can't see minutes. Pep prefers to play Stones and Akanji in the DM position instead.
It just raises a lot of questions.

I know Phillips is good, he's not Rodri's level but he's good. West Ham will get the best out of him. Since Rice left they've not had that presence in center of their midfield. Phillips can solve that.

Bayern on mission to sign Sacha Boey with initial €𝟏𝟓𝐦 proposal!

Galatasaray CEO said they're willing to let Boey go but it won't be for that fee. They want more than what Bayern are offering. Negotiations are still going on so let's see how it goes.
Knowing Bayern Munich, they won't want to pay much for the player.

A good decision, but he should have made it a year earlier, now he is in less favorable conditions than when it seemed that he alone was worth 40-50% of the team that achieved the title. Napoli have slim chances of getting into the Champions League next year, so Osimhen has nothing to lose even if he leaves for Chelsea or United (which will also not be in the Champions League), at least he will get into the most popular and richest league, but if he goes to Liverpool, Arsenal or City, it will be a jackpot.
Arsenal will be luckiest to have him, maybe he will be the one to complete the Arsenal team and improve their goal scoring ability. Arsenal already creates a good number of chances to score, so for Victor and how he plays, always bullying defenders, he will do well in Arsenal, score goals, and then the comparison between him, Haaland, Darwin Nunez, and Manchester United Hojlund will be direct. Victor has also not been scoring as expected in the African competition, if he can do better in the next round of the competition, his value will be maintained, but if he keeps missing chances he should score, it is not good for a player like him especially now he wants to move.

Yes, a move to Arsenal would be an ideal option for him (as well as a move to Liverpool or City if Real does lure Haaland), Arsenal plays ball control and they always have a lot of opportunities for the striker to show his worth. Napoli at the moment is a sinking ship and there is nothing to do there, if the Super League (as they say Napoli is the third obvious supporter of the Super League after Real Madrid and Barcelona) does start, then firstly it will be the 25th year, and secondly Arsenal will also end up there, even if not from the first season.

It seems that Bayern is racing to improve the team a lot so that they can not lose points in the remaining games and become Bundesliga champions, but I also believe that they are improving the team even more because they want to at least win the European Champions League. I don't know to what extent this hiring is good or not

I think Sacha Boey is a good player but not a top class player. Bayern München isn't an ordinary German team, it's the top team in the league. It's not enough to be "good" to play there, you need to be "top class". Although Boey has a bright future, I think he can only reach the 2nd level, he needs to work more to reach the top class leve. He can play for Stuttgart, Leipzig, Freiburg or some team like that, but it's difficult for him to play for Bayern. 15 million Euro isn't a lot of money for Bayern, if he develops well he can find a place in the rotation. I think they are not signing him for the first 11, if this transfer happens.

Claudio Echeverri moves to England and join Manchester City. In Argentina he ist a youngstar and currently 18 years old. He has signed a contract with Manchester City until 2028, but will play one more year for River Plate. He has shown a very good performance as captain of the Argentina national team (U17). For 14,5 million euros he is perhaps a very cheap deal and in 2-3 years he could be worth many more if he can establish himself in the premier league.

Very quiet January transfer window in the PL. I haven’t paid much attention to other leagues this January but in the PL especially, it’s been one of the quietest transfer windows I can remember.

I guess we’ll see if that continues for the remainder of the month, not long to go now until the window slams shut.
The winter transfer window is not too many transfers made even the big players very rarely move in the winter transfer window it is only a few players who do not have much playing time at the club then sold or borrowed several clubs that are interested.

It's still the summer transfers that become a lot because of the overhaul of the new squad for the start of the season many clubs are after players who are talented or have a lot of goal productivity then it will be even more intense.

After all, now there are still many clubs that keep their players not wanting to be sold at low prices.

In strategic terms, a winning team will not sell its players, this would make the team very unstable, but in the case of losing teams it makes sense to buy a lot of good players, but since January to April (the month in which many leagues end) this is not the case. This is very far away, which is why many teams that are doing poorly, but are very far from the relegation zone, prefer to finish the season and then go and buy players, because the tendency is that those teams that won the title sell their best players because they leave with more profits.

I think this is the best way for Kalvin Phillips for his career because while at Manchester City he had difficulty getting many playing minutes because he failed to compete with other players to win Pep Guardiola trust. For this reason, his move to West Ham on a loan period and a buyout clause is of course a good step for Kalvin Phillips to get lots of playing time in the second half of this season. For West Ham, they got quality players on loan, of course their steps in lobbying Manchester City were quite successful.

So, let's see how kalvin Phillips performs with West Ham in the second half of this season. Will he immediately become David Moyes choice for every match played by West Ham in the second half of this season. I hope that Kalvin can help West Ham to get into the top 4 because currently West Ham is only 8 points behind Aston Villa who are in the top 4.

Honestly I would love Arsenal to add attacking force to the team. Do you think I am happy with Jesus and Nketiah as strikers ? I don’t think there is any club that will release their top strikers this January. And also there’s no one club that has brought in players in England. Seems the FFP is on people’s asses.

If Arsenal fails to land any attacker this January, I don’t know how if they can still challenge their rivals for the EPL title.
What they need right now is new patterns, ideas and tactics to break down the low block teams, as it’s now more difficult for them than winning big teams, but getting new players isn’t the fix, it’s left to the coach to come up with new ideas on breaking that and not changing players each time there’s a challenge.

Gabriel Jesus is a clever player, his job is not just to score goals. however, he also often opens up space for his teammates to take advantage of opportunities and create goals. G.Jesus' contribution to Arsenal is very large. unfortunately, he is not a typical pure striker player who can be relied on like Haaland, Kane, or others.
As for Nketiah, I don't mean to underestimate this pure striker that Asenal has. however, for me Nketiah is not yet capable of playing as a pure stirker at Arsenal level. that's why Nketiah was able to leave and Arsenal got a replacement.

But as you said, it seems it will be very difficult to bring in a top striker this January. as for several of them who are widely linked with Arsenal and one of them is Ivan Toney, it is rumored that Brentford is reluctant to let him go. even if there is a team interested in his services, especially since this player plays with an elite team like Arsenal, the money that Arsenal has to spend on this English player is quite expensive. Rumor has it that Brentford has set a price of €100 million. that's why, this situation makes Arteta and Edu have to make very mature decisions.
in other news, Benzema's party has held talks with Arsenal. but so far, the rumors are getting wilder everywhere. if Arsenal fails to land a striker who can be relied on as a goal scorer in their squad. this means that Arsenal must survive and become more competitive so that their mission this season can be realized. after all, the competition still has a lot of matches left. For the ideas, strategy, style of play and system that Arteta applies, I really like it, but their problem is with the goal scorer. and actually if Jimber is not injured, Arteta has other plans and new strategies. unfortunately, the player suffered a long injury. well, there's still time so let's wait until the end of January.

Manchester United don't look like they are thinking of bringing anyone to replace Martial due to his injury. Maybe they just want to trust Hojlund in the rest of the season. There is some development of him recently as he started to score in Premier League games as well. If he keeps up the good work they might really not need anyone else for the position.

The goalkeeper position should be the most discussed one for them actually. Because Onana is the best goalkeeper they have. However he is having a very inconsistent season. I'm curious about whether a new goalkeeper transfer would be seen this summer.  Huh
Manchester United does not need to rush for a back-up striker option because Hojlund's role can still be rotated well with Rashford and of course these two players are quite flexible when Erik Ten Hag places them both according to the team's needs. Maybe they will move in the summer for a new striker because Anthony Martial will officially stay at Manchester United until the end of the season and at the same time he will leave as a free agent.

In fact, Manchester United does not need to buy a new goalkeeper and regarding Onana's poor performance, Erik Ten Hag should be able to reserve him first and give the goalkeeper that they also brought in previously, namely Altay Bayindir, a chance as a starter. We know that in Cameroon, Onana was not really needed and after conceding many goals while defending Cameroon, he was immediately substituted on the bench in the last AFCON match. I think erik ten hag should have the courage to back it up and not indulge it too much.

As if things don't turn out so that Ten Hag will be fired and then the team will be set up not by him, but by another coach, who probably has his own vision of the game and will shuffle the squad as he pleases. As far as I am concerned, one of the main problems now is the coach himself and there have been many times talk about his resignation

There was also a clue about the future of his career, so many times osimhen said that if he was putting premier league as the main target of him to achieve his dream. His next destination will be EPL club. I do believe if osimhen will be starting to think what he has been dreaming since he was kid and watching drogba played with chelsea. It doesn't matter to me which club he will be playing for, but I am confident that Osimhen will be joining a Premier League club. The better thing for him to achieve his dream first than think about what will be the next destination of him to play.

Osimhen will not be missing an opportunity to play in the premier league as it will be considered as his best achievement ever in his life. He was starting from zero to hero. It is only matter of time until he will be joining in the EPL club in summer
I think that it's not only him but a lot of people were also hoping will able to achieve the same achievement as him. Playing in the premier league can be considered as the biggest achievement in his life.

We are very close to the end of winter transfer season and i see that osimhen hinted some clubs on which club he will be playing in next season. I think that it must be on the chelsea. I do agree with you. Some clubs have been monitoring him.

Since Osimhen joined Napoli, he's been their key player and he's been doing his striking job perfectly without errors, even in times of emotional derailment from fans and the coach, he's still being able to keep his mind focused. He's in no wise the best thing that's happened to Napoli. He's the best addition to the team.
Although Chelsea are having eyes on him but it's likely that Napoli won't let him slip without a very good replacement for him.

His exit will place a threat to the teams performance subsequently and they may likely go back drastically. For Chelsea, he may not be able to cope immediately, he'd need time to blend and it's likely that the Chelsea pattern may not fit him. No doubt he's got the decision to make but he's got to weigh the options too considering that Chelsea can as well give him a whole new experience to football even though they're declining currently in their performance.

Osimhen relationship with the club has been strained since the problems some time ago and now it may be exacerbated by the recent problems with the agent of one of the players which surely makes the situation more complicated.

Osimhen's previous contract extension I think was just a way for Napoli so that they could make a bigger clause than before to get Osimhen out because now Napoli are also ready to negotiate with any club that really wants Osimhen services with a clause of more than 100 million already prepared.
But this will be interesting in the summer transfer because after all, apart from Mbappe there will certainly be Osimhen drama which could be something quite good to see where he will eventually go or force himself to stay at Napoli with an atmosphere that is not too comfortable.
I was happy to hear that Osimhen would be available on the market this summer and that Osimhen decision to leave would be a good start to his career on the European stage. He needs to have more experience and cross domestic competitions other than Serie A. Could it be that if Mbappe is difficult for Madrid to get he will be the most potential option for Madrid to take Osimhen in the summer market?

Napoli showed themselves too much in taking advantage of Osimhen abilities increasing the release clause in order to gain big profits but Osimhen began to realize that staying at a club that could not do more without him proved that he was a player who could shine outside Napoli.

The problem is whether he can still do the same as he did at Napoli last season?
Actually bringing Osimhen now in my opinion this will also be a gamble for the club that brings him because in the end we know after his brilliant performance last season is inversely proportional to what happened this season so he needs to see which club will really be suitable for his future especially in this case the competition he will go to because when the club chosen is not suitable then this could also backfire for his own career in the end.
So many players who shine in Serie A end up miserable at new clubs so he needs to find the right fit if he really wants to leave from Napoli.

Osimhen relationship with the club has been strained since the problems some time ago and now it may be exacerbated by the recent problems with the agent of one of the players which surely makes the situation more complicated.
Yeah, since the relationship between him and club have been detoriating and he has no choice other than leave from his comfort zone to join in the better club. That's the only best solution owned by him to improve his skill. I can't even deny the fact that if osimhen has been performing very bad in the last matches. he has been rarely scoring for napoli and it was a disaster if he still stays much longer in the club. He needs to find the new club as soon as possible. This will be also helping him so much and i do believe any team will be trying to chase him as a new striker.
Honestly, I doubt if it happens now but it could happen at the end of the season because it is likely to be like that if you look at the current situation even though it looks like he is fine with club management and only argues with the agents of other players but still this will be very disturbing especially Osimhen's relationship with club management is also not as good as before because he had problems at the beginning of the season.
As for the club problem, I think the chance is still only Chelsea because there is still no other club that wants to bring Osimhen from Napoli unless there is a domino effect if Mbappe leaves then surely PSG will join the race to bring Osimhen.

Osimhen has been also speaking with the club to limit his clause. It's caused by he can leave from there anytime with sense clause to be bought by other club. This is also the main reason to extend his contract.
Osihen can be bought with the lower rate compared to the when he was at his prime last season. There is a lot of change happening. He must accept the fact that if osimhen is not as good as what it used to be.

People can try to find themselves about this.
Therefore I say that this contract extension is just a formality for Napoli so that they can get a higher price from Osimhen because we know Osimhen's value in the new clause actually reaches 130 million and this is what is targeted in the end.
Now it depends on the interested club in the end whether they are ready with Osimhen's salary and clause now then who of them comes forward surely Napoli will immediately discuss.

When Victor Osimhen extended his contract with Napoli recently, I was very surprised because I knew of a time that he was having internal issues with the club especially when a mocking video of him was posted in the club's official TikTok account last year. So I thought he wanted to see off his initial contract with the club before leaving but surprisingly to me, he went on to extend his contract with the club.
believe me this will just be the latest drama we will see in this season just like Mbappe in the past.
We think logically that if Osimhen really insisted on leaving Napoli because he felt uncomfortable regarding the previous problem, he should have rejected any offer of a contract extension, but in fact the signed contract is proof that Osimhen is willing to stay at Napoli for the next few seasons.
for me this is actually a win-win between Napoli and Osimhen and this drama is just to put pressure on the team who will try to get him with a high offer and on the one hand I am sure Osimhen's salary after extending the contract will definitely be bigger.

I understand this situation and am not surprised to see drama like this because Napoli is very dependent on Osimhen and without the presence of this player Napoli would just be a team that would not be able to win the title in series A. Even now, Osimhen is still staying in series A, he still doesn't able to chase the Scudetto title because the new coach has had a strong impact on Napoli future.

I noticed that as well. I think it’s because of the Premier League's Sustainability Rules and profits. Clubs are being very careful not to break these rules. We saw how Everton were deducted 10 points in the early part of the season for breaching the rules, while they and Nottingham Forest have been charged recently for the same thing.
FFP is on everybody’s Asses. I think a lot of clubs are just observing and the last thing they want to do is break those rules and potentially be deducted points now that the season has gone far.
But apart from that, we should not forget that the January transfer window is normally pretty quiet every year, a lot of the big business is usually done in the summer.

Well probably due to AFCON and AFC as well though so some clubs could be monitoring their target players closely to slam in a last minute offer. Also most players could be injured during those high intense games though so probably that could be one of the reason as well. Kinda expecting a heated january transfer but yeah compared to the previous years, this is a pretty quiet transfer window
