Bounty is completely different kind of promotion where people get awareness about the project. Previous companies used to promote through website listing but now promotional active is very effective through bounties.
I think it's not difficult for join some social campaign, like facebook, twitter, instagram, telegram,... If you have a social account with effect followers, friends, you can get good awards. But just carefully to choose bounty. There're many scam ICO.

I don't understand what importart information for comunity considered in such post, that it was reward for merit. Search at forum's topic. There are a lot information about it 
As a beginner you should first learn about the contents in bitcointalk forums in order to follow the bounty, because every bounty there is altcoin division according to our account rank it is in need once in any bounty

Bounty campaigns are for all the members that are jr member and up ranks. Newbie can only join in social media bounty but in signature bounty they cant.
Now it is difficult to increase your rank but you always can buy a coper member rank, but in this case I guess you will have to discuss your reward separetely with bounty manager.
Once the merit system starts, I suggest you should start creating a quality post. it will be good for you later. let alone your goal for the bounty.

Well that would be their first stepping stone to earn by now since ranking up with their account will be hard for them due to the merit things implemented now. But earnings now with social media camp became smaller its because it is been more congested and theirs so many people keep coming to join since this one is the easiest way for them to earn.

Just look around bounties section and enroll yourself on different campaign programs ( except signature since you can't spam on that one but i believe you can advertise on different platforms such as facebook,twitter,telegram,youtube).And improve yourself in english as well as the quality of your post to receive merit from other users
Easy dude, when you find a bounty that suit your interest you can look for the spreadsheet to check some members on it, click someone with high rank like legendary or Sr. Member and observe how they reply to a thread and how they composed their lines, from there you will get.and idea.
With the low rank accounts we cannot expect the big profits with the campaigning paid with the bitcoin or tokens. Both are same on investing with the post quality to get slotted there.
Hence if you want to get accepted, you have to prove yourself on giving perfect replies I means that quality posts.
Please always one method of application to be shared while slots are opened but people like you suggested to follow members application style. I am not sure how it will be effective.
