This is why I always say that we should boycott those bounty campaigns which refuse to pay in ETH or BTC. Anyway bounty pool represent just 1% or less of the total budget. And there is no harm in paying that small amount in Ether.

..this might be the worst scenario that takes place in all bounty programs..almost 97% of bounty programs that I 'd join before end up on this kind of situation, your hardworks are not worthy to gain profit..even worst, you're the one promoting the campaign just to scammed many people..how sad situation.. Angry Angry

...from now on,be wise enough in chosing your chosen bounty..only join campaign that pays in BTC to avoid being scammed..for this will guarantee you a legit bounty..

About 95% of ICO campaigns I joined before. They make you wait for over a year for the token to get into an exchange arguing that getting to an exchange in a bear market is a bad strategy. Then when finally it gets into an exchange, they have chosen the worst exchange possible. Crap.

It's really heartbreaking with the scenario, a lesson for us to be able to look ahead, forget and leave useless shitcoin.
Think positive for the future and find a quality project with a responsible team.

That's why I only join on Signature Campaign that pays BTC, joining on some campaigns that no guarantee if it become successful or not is worst than riding a roller coaster. you will not now the project has failed until so many months of waiting and when finally you see that they listed on exchanges the cost of thousands of coins in your wallet is only $2.

Joining in the BTC pay signature campaign is very limited and there are only a few participants, so in my opinion there are still many good bounties there as long as we choose correctly.

any project that has ever raised funds through ICO or any other similar method has been scam and their sole purpose has been to make a quick buck from this new unregulated market while things are still fresh and there is a lot of newbies who trust them easily.
as a result things like what OP is describing happens. there is no "product" not "project" no "company" no "developer",.... all there is are some dudes who want the easiest way of earning money.

I can sense that some of the bounty programs that I've joined would possibly end up like this scenario (or even worse than that). But I could be wrong. Let's just hope that past, present and upcoming projects wouldn't be doing this kind of scenario.
By far, you should now accept the fate of a bounty hunter and perhaps you missed all those bounties way back 2017 that indeed good and profitable ones. So now, even a promising ICO can't guarantee you that you will earn decently as they will have their alibis ready to its investors and bounty participants.

You should change your strategy, why not offee your skills ( if you have ) or you can look for crypto jobs related at reddit.

That is the common scenario on bounty campaign, the team are always active "updating" good news to the group and seems like everything are approaching to success, but after a couple of months they are silently missing with the money and fund they collected. IEO will be great soon if ICO will continue to get people's fund.

Professional bounty hunter nowadays are just feigning indifference whether projects pay or not, reach their hardcap or not. They are too much exposed and experienced on bounty, in that case. They do no feel any much regret and hate whether the project scam them.

But the professional yet, responsible bounty hunter will going to take back all the market he has made, push the project down and do not tolerate such fraud projects in the market.

Never joined bounties during my stay in this forum, I usually like signature campaigns, at least your hard work is getting paid weekly. Unlike bounties wherein it's a gamble and you don't know when the coins are going to be listed and when are bounties gonna pay you.

As OP has put it, 2018 up to present, it's hard to earn big in bounties because you don't know when you are getting paid, and when you are paid, what will be the price of each token once listed. I heard that bounty hunters usually dump the coins once it get listed, so if you are late then you will just be receiving dust amounts for all the months of hard work.

Sometimes, the bounty program with BTC or ETH payment is much much better.  Grin Smiley Smiley
that would be good but it's rare to see a bounty campaign paying in btc or eth, it's fine for me if they pay in altcoins but the coin should have a good volume and also we need more bounty campaign with escrow to ensure the payment of bounty hunters, most of the time the admin just disappear.

Unfortunately, I have this kind of experience of my first bounty last year. Until now, I cannot do anything with the coins.
Well, only wait for a long moment again without a certain expectation.
This experience really gives me a lesson of why we must be more and more careful in choosing the right bounty.
Bounty for promoting an ICO must be the right one. By analyzing the ICO, team, and also their roadmap, we can predict how long they will be.

This is why it's always better to join very popular  bounties project or even coins Or tokens that are already listed on exchanges, I don't get carried away by bounties that offers huge rewards, many I've seen in past are just shitty coins

That you want when every project is a scam. Well, not everyone. But there are so many of them that you cannot deduct them from here by any filter. Normal story when 5 thousand people take part in the bonus program. And everyone wants to know what is happening) And everyone is accustomed to asking on the line. This is their job.  Grin
I think he doesn't want anything  Grin  ,just complains about the heavy bounty hunter share. It's a bad trend, but on the forum I think everyone has a similar story or several stories.

LOL. The regular type of bounty hunter tries to survive in the wild ICO world. ICO managers need to re-check the participants of bounty campaigns before accepting the bounty campaign.

If you may wonder why is this called part two, here's the first one: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/for-those-bounty-hunters-who-can-hardly-relate-5107604

Situation: This one focused on ICOs/startups who have been active for a long while, but......

After the ICO ended.....

Admin: Congratulations everyone! We have succeeded in reaching the hard cap! Time to rejoice! We would like to inform everyone that your tokens will be distributed within 30 days!
Bounty Hunter: Yes I'm excited!

After a month.....

Admin: Congrats everyone! All tokens are distributed to investors and bounty hunters. Stay tuned for next update!
Bounty Hunter: Amazing! Good job! Hopefully that the next update will be exchange listing! Woohoo!!!!

After another month....

Admin: Our MVP/product is now in the works! You can see the screenshot of our progress here [screenshot shown]. Stay tuned for our next update!
Bounty Hunter: Oh wow that's amazing! Hopefully the next update will be exchange listing this time! Go go go guys!

After another month.....

Admin: Guess what guys! We have partnered with XYZ company who will help us improve our platform by adding extra security features that would protect our platform from getting compromised by hackers or intruders. Stay tuned for our next update!
Bounty Hunter: That's great admin. Great progress you have there! Can we do exchange listing this time?

After another month.....

Admin: Good news everyone!
Bounty Hunter: Admin, what is it? A new exchange?
Admin: We have a new advisor on board!
Bounty Hunter: Okay, but admin when are you planning to get the token listed.
Admin: For now, exchange discussion until further notice is prohibited for legal reasons. Anyone who violated will get banned immediately.
Bounty Hunter: (sigh) Okay, looks like we have no choice but to wait.

After 2 months....

Admin: Exciting announcement everyone!
Bounty Hunter: Is this really the one we've been waiting for? (hoping for exchange)
Admin: Our product is now available to download on Android and iOs! Try it out guys!
Bounty Hunter: (tries out the product and still bored, still thinking when will they going to be on the exchange)

After another 2 months.....

Admin: You see guys! We aren't going anywhere! We are in great progress! Today, we just launched our very own (ICO Name) forum! Now everyone can participate and discuss related to our product! Any feedback will be appreciated.
Bounty Hunter: (I don't care, still our token has no value. The next shitcoin in the list! Dammit! My efforts are totally wasted!)

After another 6 months.....

Admin: Another good news to the whole community!
Bounty Hunter: (not in a good mood and ain't excited at all)
Admin: For those of you who have stick with us for a long while, thank you so much for supporting! As we have finished processing our legal procedures, this is what most of you are waiting for!
Bounty Hunter: Okay admin, get straight to the point please!
Admin: We would like to inform you all that we have reached out to an exchange who can list our token in a month from now! We will reveal to you the name of the exchange that our token will get listed. I hope this will make you all excited after a long wait! Stay tuned!
Bounty Hunter: After more than a year of waiting, this is really is it! I can't wait (feels excited once again).

After a month.....

Admin: As promised, we will reveal to you the exchange that our token will listed.
Bounty Hunter: What exchange, admin? Please reveal it to us now! We're so excited!!!
Admin: Forkdelta!!!!
Bounty Hunter: WHAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTT? (gets angry to the admin)
Admin: (kicks out and ban bounty hunter from their official Telegram group)

In the end, as this tokens got listed token in Forkdelta, there are only huge sell walls, buy wall is empty and zero trading volume. Ended up a shitcoin.

To summarize this scenario, from the beginning of the ICO until the end, the bounty hunter waited 15 months for them to get listed on a shitty exchange? LOL.

I can sense that some of the bounty programs that I've joined would possibly end up like this scenario (or even worse than that). But I could be wrong. Let's just hope that past, present and upcoming projects wouldn't be doing this kind of scenario.
