It was an incident that I experienced as well, not even in just one ICO project, it happened to some projects that I participated, until I got bored and tired of experiencing it. As a bounty hunter, I'm just annoyed with the situation, let alone investors who invest their funds in the ICO project. we must be really thorough and understanding  before supporting a project.

Most of the past bounty campaigns promise to pay thier bounters in the exact time until the team cant be contacted and slowly vanishing. They give hope for thier bounty participants by announcing the bounty distribution but in the end its all lie.
Yes I am one the victim of this one! I have joined so many projects and they turned to be scam, I dont have anything to do but to accept the reality that they scam many of us or they didnt become successful in promoting their campaign. Not all the campaign turns into a good news for us bounty hunters. We should accept the fact that many of them are scams now.

VTOS bounty, from last year, they just disappeared. After few months, right before the end of the ICO they walked away! They left
their accounts (anyone can still visit them on Twitter, Telegram, Facebook..). Nothing led me to think they will do such thing, but they did.
OPP Open WiFi, after two years I still didn`t get tokens from them. Many things were said, they even changed the company name, now
they are Aloha. In Telegram group their admin still says that we will be paid, but I lost my faith long time ago.

Sometimes the team and bounty hunters relationship reminds me of tug-of-war. I participated in bounty companies and 90% of companies at the end always change the rules. Introduce KYC, trim the award and in this spirit. Hunters always work on trust, but I have seen very few companies that justify this trust.

sounds like  scam to me and unfair because what if those hunters dont want to do a kyc ? and they didnt know that the project will require a kyc on the middle of thier run  .

i never experience this same exact pattern because bounties back on my time dont have a kyc yet or kyc's are not invented in the ico/bounty scene but i can never forget those fake promises and extensions . it takes a long time before i receieve my shares but  the end the value is only dust  .

Lol, omg brilliant!! This is exactly what it is like.  Cheesy

This was my favourite part "I received an advise from our legal advisor that bounty hunters must complete KYC process. Since we have an influx of bounty hunters, approving your KYC might take days to weeks."
Lol yes, their imagery legal team talking about made-up KYC laws. Most projects don't even need KYC to sell never mind for bounty hunters.

You forgot one thing though. You should not support a shit project in the first place. You just chose a project. You need to sit down and take your time to pick out a project you actually believe in and like the idea of and want to see it become real. If you want it to become real then your bounty work will be of a much higher standard since you would genuinely want to get people interested and write nice tweets and things for the project. The more interest and support you give a good project the higher your chances of the tokens you're given to be worth something decent.

If the tokens sell for $1 but there is no use for them then don't be surprised to see $0.01 or worse. After the ICO everyone has seen the project and the hype is over and there is no need to buy more.

To all crypto bounty hunters who can hardly relate:

Situation: ICO started their main sale and will last 2 months and offers bounty program. ICO price was $0.5.
Bounty Hunter: I will join their signature campaign! Let’s do this!

After 1 month....

Admin: We decided to pause the campaign because our legal advisor suggests for our product to be fully compliant with the country’s regulations.
Bounty Hunter: (facepalm)

After 1 month....

Admin: Good news bounty hunters! We will now resume our bounty campaign. Since ICO was extended for a month, the same goes to our bounty campaign. Happy bounty hunting!
Bounty Hunter: Yippee!!!

After 1 month (one day before the ICO ends)....

Admin edits the ICO countdown timer and replied: Due to overwhelming demand, we decided to extend the ICO to another 2 months!
Bounty Hunter: Whaaaaat??? (But decides to continue the signature campaign).

After 2 months....

Admin: Congrats bounty hunters! Our ICO is successful! Here’s the final spreadsheet!
Bounty hunter looks at the spreadsheet and replied: 1,000 stakes for me! Yippee! I’m excited for my tokens to be distributed.
Admin: Good for you! We will distribute the tokens within 2 weeks!
Bounty Hunter: All right! My hardwork finally pays off in 2 weeks! Can’t wait!

After 2 weeks....

Admin: I received an advise from our legal advisor that bounty hunters must complete KYC process. Since we have an influx of bounty hunters, approving your KYC might take days to weeks.
Bounty Hunter: (sigh) Oh well, it’s better than nothing. I’ll just do it anyway. (Logs in to site and submits KYC verification).

After 3 weeks....

Bounty Hunter receives an email that his KYC was approved and was excited, however.....
Admin: We would like to congratulate those bounty hunters who have passed their KYC. Unfortunately, we had a meeting with the development team. It has come to a conclusion that our team voted for bounty hunter tokens to be locked and will be distributed after 6 months to avoid massive dumping in the exchange.
Bounty Hunter: Admin I HATE YOU!!!!

After 6 months....

Admin: Bounty hunter tokens are now unlocked. You can now transfer your tokens from the dashboard to your ETH wallet. Thank you!

Bounty hunter transfers his tokens to his ETH wallet. After successfully transferred, he goes to Etherdelta exchange where he can trade his token to BTC or ETH. Unfortunately, the token’s buying orders are empty. Only selling orders appear with the lowest bid at $0.001 per token.

Bounty hunter: F*** you admin!!!!! My efforts are wasted coz’ they’re worth shitcoins!!!!
Admin: (blocks bounty hunter from Telegram channel).

Trust me guys, I’ve been here before. Are you too? 😂🤣😅

I've participated in 2 projects with a similar format but compare to what you've posted these two projects are still on it, they still did not bid us goodbye and locking their channel, they are just waiting for the right time to do so, they are waiting for the next market to dump their coin, because they have a hard time listing their coins, they are not getting enough support, and they do not want to use their funds to list on other exchange

This is an undeniable fact and only if you have gone through this process will you understand it better and relate well. Its really annoying and time wasting for a project to be taking bounty hunters through this hell and consider hunters as some cheap folks who have nothing to do, I have been there before and I can relate positively.

this is an exact case of what has been happening to the bounty hunters and it has also been the corresponding atitude of the admin or the campaign manager and they cannot deny it. well, we look forward, towards a better bounty hunting when we will have nothing like that coming up again.

I felt that way after you saw your total stakes or your total tokens and you estimated that you could suddenly find that many project teams would say that they would be inconsistent with what they were saying until they were upset that they didn't want to say anything. to the bounty participants we have no interest in paying you back because we got what we wanted, we have no use. Those feelings are going to blow you away. After the hardships you have given your KYC(know your customer) you have not been paid for your efforts.

Such a bitter truth are those all lines! I can relate me with all those incidents! Project managers are not respecting bounty hunters! Sometimes I feel we should do something against them. As you posted this and hunters are replying so we need to do something together to change these scamming rules!

It happens with all of us. Its very pity when such things happen with the bounty hunters even in some bounties admin doesn't allow to leave the signature campaign in the mid if you leave it before finishing the campaign your stakes will be zero. When campaign keeps extending we should understand things are not really good. At present, I hardly join new bounties because all the projects I am doing keep extending their projects and I see investors are also not taking much interest in ICOs. We should be more smarter while joining the projects to avoid being scammed.
The ongoing bounty campaigns barely pay in the ETH and major bounty campaigns promise to pay the exact reward in tokens after the end of the ICO. Investors also don't want to consume their time with the useless project which there is no proper project management by the team. The similar situations become common for the crypto investors and bounty hunters.

Let's compare the bounty campaigns of the former years and currently open brand-new project's bounty campaigns. The innocent difference can be noticed with the simple research, the previous bounty hunters were not as emotional as today's bounty hunters but the bounty allocations were profitable during the old campaigns. The prolonged payments sent late, bounty hunters don't want to respect the bounty terms and conditions for the before-mentioned reasons.

This is the risk of joining any bounty, that is why before joining I will not expect a lot first because it hurts a lot when you get nothing in the end. Last year out of 20 bounties that I have joined only 2 gave rewards and some of them just dissapeared or abolished their project.
Yes, now bounty hunters are simply defenseless in legal terms. This activity is in urgent need of streamlining and regulation. It is necessary to establish an elementary order with a clear establishment of the rights and obligations of the parties. I think it will be soon. States are already very close in regulating ICOs, since very large funds are involved in it, and thefts and frauds reach astronomical amounts.

Yes, this is indeed a common modus operandi of more and more projects. But I kinda understand them as bounty hunters tend to have quite a negative impact on the price action after listing of the token, but projects should take this into account from the beginning and be transparent about it from the start.

LOL. A sad reality. Many bounty hunters have been there and it wasn't a funny experience especially for those bounty campaigns that lasts for three months. It was so bad in 2018 that I personally decided that I won't join any project too early again to reduce the risk of shock and disappointment I might feel if the project fails

I think all of it was you're experienced as a bounty hunter. Well, your not alone mate we are many here Smiley. The style of the project most of the time are just the same in terms of their alibi. That's style of the admin or team of the project it showed and obviously they don't want to pay bounty hunters, it is their tactics or way to annoy bounty participants to give up in the end were the allocation will goes to their pocket anyway. And that is totally bullshit...
