LTC -> BTC -> Silver!
The whole China hype plays perfectly into western stereotypes about simple minded savages that need to be saved and educated, or in this case, dragged into a pump and dump shady investement.

For a second there, I thought you were talking about my Uncle Gerard. Do you think he could be Chinese?

This isn't an issue of race. You can make it one, but why?

The point was that MORE people than ever before now know about Bitcoin. The buzz that came out of this was that the tone of the documentary was way more positive than anyone could have anticipated.

Its not an issue of race at all imo. Its a fact that the internet has leveled the playing field of the stereotypical "less advanced" countries. They are privy to all the same information of the perceived "advanced" societies.

Why does everyone think China is/was in the dark about bitcoins? Who is to say that China could have their own bitcoins they have enough people to support it?

One can plot the Google Trends volume for the bitcoin hieroglyphs and a similar volume worldwide indicator, like "mtgox". You will soon find out that China was in perfect sync with the rest of the world, with a mere lump when the now famous programme aired. It quickly faded away and the volume is back to it's post bubble decreasing slope.

The whole China hype plays perfectly into western stereotypes about simple minded savages that need to be saved and educated, or in this case, dragged into a pump and dump shady investement. Most of the time the African, Asian or Southamerican savages know much better than the fat westerners what their problem is and usually the root of that problem is precisely some form of western intervention.

That is a great way of putting it. I feel the same way.

Now they are thinking what to do with me
I'm a native Chinese living in Shanghai. As far as I know, China is absolutely not at all a hype. Compared with the near term potential, the amount already put in the ecosystem is only a drop in a bucket.

So, there is increase POSITIVE media coverage and thus governmental push to inspire people towards Bitcoins? Or just media coverage and government remaining ignorant? But as others say nothing happens in their media without government approval?

Yes, the majority of the population has not yet started buying Bitcoin.
We are just witnessing the beginning.
When that happens, the price will be already 300.

Because, of course, you want to cash out at the lowest price possible.

Pathetic.

Already cashed 99% of my coins. Only a few I got for sold BTE and FCR left.

Pathetic! Try to think few steps ahead next time, heh.

Good luck with your fiat currency there Grin

Thx, but it's just for a year or two, more cryptocurrencies on their way.

Sounds like you're just after a panic sell so you can buy more at lower cost, lols, typical Cheesy

It's the most popular statement that people use when they have no counter-arguments. Nuff said.

So ... you've already cashed out 99% and you're preaching that Bitcoin is dead, etc, and that everyone should sell.

Why don't you cash out the other 1% and leave it be then?
1% seems hardly worth the trouble, especially when you think it's only going down.

A couple of hundreds is still good money to just to through it away. Also Bitcoin swings hard, it can reach $1000 before dropping to $0.
