Floki & Bonk have already pumped pretty hard. I don’t know how much upside there is with those tokens. If you are looking for a 1000 x token in this bull run you will probably have to take more of a risk & go for a lees well known, less established token. No doubt Floki & Bonk will increase in value this bull & they are the safer option but for the life changing gains we probably don’t even know which token or coin it will be yet.
We will definitely witness some meme coins making some incredible gains during the bull run that is coming, however the number of meme coins is so high, that it is unlikely that a person can make the money they are looking for this way, because even if they were to pick the correct meme coin, they have no way to know when that pump could happen, and as such an investor could sell their coins too soon and miss the opportunity they have been waiting for.

Some maybe expected to come as the meme coin hype will go back again when there's something event like this since somehow this type of token will be the first thing to locate by investors since they might think that once bitcoin pump those meme coins will follow. But even though we see a nice streak for price rise of this token I guess we better be more careful since as the number of meme coin created a lot of it is just another scam.

Then its a huge loss for us if we pick those scams and we cannot roll our investment and make it grow.

For now I'm still skeptical on those meme coins since I don't see any real value on this coin and I always look it up as a pure hype.

I think it depends on the type of investment you want to make. I mean, in the short term meme coins might make you a lot of money, but in the long term it makes no sense to invest in coins based solely on an internet meme or some other funny feature (see the dog saga). Personally I would opt for other altcoins that are based on something more solid and focus on the long term. However, you can always invest in meme coins in the short term, following the bullish trend, without abandoning Bitcoin in the long term.

Let's not compare it with bitcoin at all because one is surviving over decade and half and the one you are praising just available in the market for months so if the coin or token can maintain its value as well as growth for years then you can argue forget bitcoin cause memecoins are the future but for now, meme coins are just in the trend after the NFT craze and it become into the choices among the crypto investors when they feel that crypto bull already kicked in.
I think those 3 meme coins are not new in the market anymore but the only question is if long they can stay?
If there is any meme coin that will last longer, that might only be Dogecoin, nothing more. There is no coin that can maintain their value or growth because each has what we called as volatility.

There are stable coins but even them do also fluctuate in value. They can recover but non-stable coins recovery will depend on how much their latest ATH are. Meme coins are not the future but it was the title of Bitcoin, (the future of money). Before NFT, we already have meme coins but their trend have only came back for a couple of times now.

What about Pepe, it is improving more rapidly at the moment. I also don't doubt FLOKI and BONK, these memecoins have a great marketing team and can make the market crazy. I didn't really believe in Floki at first and only held Shiba. But seeing how the Floki team is very solid and has a good strategy, it is good value and it is not surprising that it is now bullish again.

Looking into the current market trends in this bull run again meme coins are getting the hype. All meme coins are getting high volumes and gains, which suggests that it won't be a bad idea to invest in them now and hold on to them. These coins can easily fetch 10x to 20x if anyone is planning to take a position for short-term gains in the bull market. In the last 7 days, all these coins pumped significantly and then got dumped badly. I think all of them are now going through the same cycle.

First question, how did you put the title just to draw attention to these things?

(...)
The big question is: which memecoin will perform best going forward this year? Could we see Dogecoin reclaim its former glory as the king of memecoins? Or will newcomers like Pepe, FLOKI, WIF and Bonk continue to steal the spotlight? I'll like to hear your views...

Regardless, it is your opinion or the opinion of those who have guided you to these things, even top altcoins can still be labeled risky. And what memecoin is doing is showing off its great risks, but it's fair to say that the few (very few) are over-hyped creating FOMO for memecoin. If it weren't for the way Elon Musk started with dogecoin, this space would likely have memecoins with incredibly high capitalization, but regardless of everything that has been going on, I'm not the type to oppose the activities of of these things, as long as we take advantage of the opportunity because this crypto playground must have winners and losers for there to be great development.

In the end it's fools gold because most people will buy then they won't be able to recognize the market tops, and when it starts the eventually bull dip they use hope as a way to not be able to.part with their bag.  Most people end up dragging it all the way to the bottom.  And to make matters worse when it levels off at the bottom and doesn't shoot back up they think it's the end and sell just to get soemthing back.  That's a lot of people's story.

The memecoin craze has returned in full force, with several meme-themed cryptocurrencies seeing massive gains recently. Leading the pack is PepeCoin (PEPE), which has skyrocketed over 60% in the last 24 hours.

Pepe is a memecoin based on the popular Pepe the Frog meme. It was originally launched in 2013 but gained renewed interest this year as the memecoin market heated up again. The recent price surge has made Pepe one of the top trending coins today, according to CoinMarketCap.

Other memecoins seeing big gains include Wif, FLOKI, SHIBA and Bonk. All doing impressive numbers over the weekend.

The return of memecoin mania also reflects the powerful momentum of hype and virality in crypto. Memecoins often have very enthusiastic online communities that aggressively promote their coin, fueling massive rallies. While memecoin investments are highly risky due to the volatility, the potential for explosive short-term gains is enticing many retail investors.

The comeback of memecoin mania is also indicative of the current bullish sentiment in the crypto markets. With Bitcoin and Ethereum recovering strongly in 2024 so far, investors are more willing to speculate on altcoins in hopes of parabolic returns. This is pushing up memecoins along with the broader altcoin market.

The big question is: which memecoin will perform best going forward this year? Could we see Dogecoin reclaim its former glory as the king of memecoins? Or will newcomers like Pepe, FLOKI, WIF and Bonk continue to steal the spotlight? I'll like to hear your views...

There is no way you can forget Bitcoin because they depends on Bitcoin for their performance, Bitcoin has a long term purposes and potential than all of them all, Bitcoin is the coin that holds future investment goals, so any one  investing in Altcoins should also consider having Bitcoin in his portfolio because it has proven to be the best and shouldn't be compared with other coins.

Damn, you really said forget about Bitcoin  Cheesy, I wouldn't can't we say all significant price movement on memecoins going on right now initially began when the price of Bitcoin also improving, we should aswell give reference to Bitcoin.
I am also glad for the Altcoins and memecoins price improvement, those who had invested earlier during the dumps will get good ROI.

Ahaha I meant that figuratively, but if you're lucky to catch a memecoin at the bottom, you'll be getting great gains.. that's why I've been exploring Bitget memezone. Got myro and bonk recently and I'm up 150% from both in 48hrs.
If you've been holding the $WIF memecoin for a while, you might be in luck, as $WIF was listed on Binance today. It is quite surprising that after CZ departure, so many memecoins have easily entered the largest exchanges like Binance recently. Maybe the filter method has been changed so who here has had $WIF on the Solana network for a long time?

After the rise of memecoin from Solana, this year it has received a lot of attention, but still do your research and don't get fomo. People who enter early are the ones who benefit.
solana is hit top 5 coins in the market and i think this impression for other solana based coins as well, you mentioned wif coins it's going very hype coin and after listed in binance it's pump 2.23$ and i see another solana based coin myra which is also incredibly pumping. binance will listing a lot of meme coins, those listed by people's voting because of large number of people's in their communities, they promoting.

Doge doesn't seem like it would rise so fast if it wasn't accompanied by a tweet from Elon.
and memecoin lovers prefer to increase the price of new memecoins like the pepe mentioned by the OP. and hopefully this new memecoin can have a better price and if it goes down it won't be too bad.

If i were just a fortune teller and could predict which meme coin would pump, I might consider investing. But since I'm not , I'd rather not, because the risk is too high when investing in memecoins. I'd prefer to buy bitcoin because the risk is lower compared to memecoins. It's true that memecoins like the ones you mentioned are pumping right now, but buying now is even riskier because you're buying at the top, and there's a possibility it could crash.

Gainers from meme coins are truly extraordinary. We cannot deny that meme coins have a lot of influence in the crypto world, especially with their ability to generate hype and FOMO. So far, there have indeed been a lot of meme coins appearing and their increase has been more significant compared to Doge and Shiba Inu which are actually more solid. Just like anything else you need, especially Pepe.

But will it continue well? I don't know, because after all, meme coins are still just meme coins, which if they increase with excessive hype and make people FOMO, then it will be very difficult for them to maintain the hype. In fact, it will be easier to be replaced by other emerging meme coins.

It's a trend that after BTC pumps then Doge pumps next right? The newer meme coins are benefiting from that since speculators understand this quite well. If BTC dumps then you'll see all these tokens to dump harder so what I would say is do not forget what happens to bitcoin. It's still the prime market mover in crypto.

I also believe that majority of these Memecoins that have made it to the top gainer spot, owes it to exchanges like Bitget that listed them which eventually caught the eyes of investors.
That's one way to caught the attention of investors but that's not all because it is created based on Dogecoin which is a memecoin. If dogecoin didn't become popular the other memecoins would also be the same. For altcoins, it is also depends on its uses and its potential in crypto community. Memecoins right now decreased 12% and if you compare it to altcoins which is at 5-7%.

Op you're not serious are you? Why would anyone forget about Bitcoin when it's the most trusted and genuine coin in the market. Altcoins have tried previously to defeat Bitcoin but those who rose above Bitcoin are no more to be compared with it. No matter how volatile and altcoin may seem it is still no were to be compared with Bitcoin. In fact the risk in altcoin are much more higher than Bitcoin which means, you could end up adopting a shitcoin without you notice, and the coins may seem all promising but at the end you only end up in regrets, I've enough of such cases where people complain of adopting a shitcoin, so fuck altcoins/ shitcoins.

It seems the alt season is coming close since memecoins are started to move after this narrative tokens will be next in line.
I think alts will bull very well this circle, having in mind that they didn't in the last bull rally of Bitcoin in 2021. I'm waiting for a repeat of what happened in 2018 with alts. It was an eye opener for me then how supposedly tagged shitcoins turned profitable.

Again, we've to acknowledge that some of these memcoins are the creation of some chains to relaunch awareness for their native coins. They may not all be the works of some scam devs somewhere. They've got backings.  We've seen Solana et al have been utilizing that narrative. I do think BRC20/DRC20 will be a leading narrative this rally after Bitcoin is done with its rally. Perhaps this Bitcoin circle will produce the highest run as we may not have another like it as regulations continue to tighten up things.

Lol I don't think OP meant it like that. A lot of people frown upon investing on Memecoins and Altcointalks simply because they're not Bitcoin meanwhile those who invest in them regardless of what others think, are making profits.

This is only for short term. In long term, I will still bet only on bitcoin. Bitcoin has a number of advantages over the altcoins. In fact, making a comparison between bitcoin and altcoins is foolish. If there was no bitcoin, these altcoins  would not have even existed. Majority of the new crypto investors start with bitcoin. Some might feel that bitcoin cannot give as high returns as altcoins but there is safety aspect also and bitcoin beats other coins in this aspect.
