The logic here is they (Black Arrow) used Bitfury on their website as part of the bait to lure me into their pre-order scam. The OPs point here is that there are companies out there using Bitfury to flog their scams and I'm saying yes companies are scamming using their chips/brand.

In reality it didn't matter what company I chose back last November, they were all scams I was doomed no matter what. BFL, HashFast, Cointerra, AMT, VMC, KnC, etc, every one of them a scam.

My 2cts: BitFury is fine (presuming they can launch their new chip and don't have to go for another round of investments) - the only thing that raises some eyebrows is how things are incorporated.. but then you need only look at Google, IKEA, Bausch+Lomb, and pretty much any other big company to realize they all set up little companies in other countries due to beneficial tax laws, employment laws, etc. and then move numbers about. So a B.V. registered in effectively virtual office space and no filings? Not all that strange. Doesn't help with transparency, I agree, but then... most of us don't even deal with them directly and the investors / large mining ops that do probably get all the access they need.

It's a shame that people who registered less than a year ago don't seem to know about BitFury or punin. Their 55nm miners were comparable to other people's 28nm product in terms of efficiency.

The good thing is that because they are low key not many people will fall for BitFury scam sites.

Why the worry about the real Bitfury being legit? Of course they are. They are the dominant player in ASIC design and the biggest builder of bitcoin mining DCs in the world. And besides, they no longer build mining gear for retail sale. They're strictly on an industrial/corporate level. If you don't have millions to invest, they're not interested in dealing with you in any capacity.
