The contests are less frequent now, simply because it's not a very effective marketing tool.
How often is "less frequent", once every few hours or once a day?When the contests were every ten minutes, people would wait around on the site for them. But now there's practically nobody playing at all. 1 or 2 people waiting for contests that seem to never happen, and the jackpots aren't changing and the chat doesn't announce any wins, so it looks like nobody's playing. I think the major dropoff in users can be attributed to the recent 2 week "outage". You might want to add a prominent message banner next time there is a problem, so frustrated users don't abandon the site.
Is the thread title still accurate? I was logged in for 2 hours and didn't see any contests.
The site has been unreachable for at least 8 hours now, not even a standard error page.
Newbies have to make 5 posts in the newbie forum before they're allowed to post anywhere else.
I expect that "sketchy" post was him just having to say something to get his 5 posts done.
With 99.5% payouts, big jackpots, and lots of free credits to play with I'd say your site is anything but sketchy.
