I thought it was all to do with providing capital to the business which a few gambling sites have a return on, usually its about the maximum bet as you dont want someone or a few people to get silly lucky on 10% odds and have to restrict further high stakes betting. Ideally and obviously with odds favouring the house, you want the high stakes to continue until they return their money back, the house trimming back after a loss is like the opposite & runs the risk of crystallising the loss some.
Its such an old site I guess it might also be about wanting temptation or opportunity (having your cash already there aids the convenience factor etc.) to creep in and people gamble some of the deposits they didnt mean to, which Ive done mostly on the events bets. I lost the brexit bet despite being correct on it passing, just the timing doh Undecided

I remember TheQuin had said that they offer this bonus when the network is busy and transaction fee is high.
Anyway, in my opinion, it's not fair to those who wager to give golden tickets only for depositing even if someone deposit only one time and don't abuse the system.
I think if the bonus is limited to once per week, then some abusers will likely deposit into their alt accounts. So, better to never offer such a bonus.

Well, we are already testing the $9.4k levels so most probably the people at $8-$8.5k people will fail, sure we still have some time left for the month to end and this is bitcoin so anything could happen but we are honestly closer to $10k than $8.5k right now so I do not think that its not "as easy as it looks" for us to drop then go up.

I am not saying $10k people will win but at the same time I am saying we are closer for $10k people to win then people at 8-$8.5k people to win, at least if we ended today people at $10k would be technically more "right" than $8.5k people even if both of them lost to $9-$9.5k people in the end. As long as we can't break the resistance we are not going anything above but if we manage to break it, nothing can stop us from reaching $11-$12k levels, so its all tied to a small thin thread right now.

We stopped doing it because people were abusing it by depositing and withdrawing the same coin over and over again for 48 hours.

i suspected that it had to have to do something with abusers. sad that there are some people that ruin it for everyone...
maybe it could be changed to reward to only one deposit per user per week.

That is so because bets have stopped being accepted several days ago. I mean, those odds will stay the same regardless of what people think. You scared me to death by that post, btw, because for a moment I thought people could still bet on the event.

The 8k to 8.5k people are getting the second place because of what it has been in the past few weeks. Interestingly the 10k-10.5k odds are still at 22.22 right now, that means people do not think bitcoin will break the resistance in the next few days, sure it looks not around there right now but if we broke the 9.4k barrier anytime in the next few days I am sure we will go beyond 10k as well and suddenly anyone at the top 5 predictions will be wrong as well.

I am thinking the opposite actually, remember in Bitcoin trading when people get too bullish then usually a bear market starts and vice versa.

I think it best to start with major and most renown events out there.
Counter Strike, League of Legends, and Overwatch. There are so many divisions to pick from but it would be best to start with world championships in above categories I guess, you don't want to oversaturate your line-up to a point of confusion.

Not quite a miracle just a definite push past 200 day average in just a few days. Sure the odds are against it but weighed on a scales vs the odds stated, it was more probable then it was weighted for; it was a reasonable bet especially on just small amounts. Price is very positive at present, I'm impressed how well its started this week. Lets see if it can top 9075 then we might see that attempt at higher prices in just this short time. The fact it sold off some from last attempt not down to 8000 but then formed a higher low; this has to push the needle towards more bullish action.

I put small wager on the outlier outcomes personally, no point having a virtual opinion only. Simple argument tl;dr is BTC volatile quite often ? hell yes

Its interesting to see that for the Super Bowl the San Francisco 49ers are the favourites to win on here while on all the sportsbooks its the Chiefs that are the favourites so there is some btc to be made if you fancy the Chiefs to win which I like as I already have a futures bet on them from before the playoffs started with Bet365.

I made my first two bets two weeks ago, or maybe even earlier. I expected the price would rise significantly in the end of January(and I still hope, it will). Those were my two earlier bets:

But, unfortunately, I missed my chance to bet in the very last hour. When I remembered about that, it was too late already. I was going to bet on whatever range the price was at the moment of betting, so I would bet on "$8,001 - $8,500".

But this is not the end of the month yet, so I still hope to win with 57.92x multiplier.

Thank you for agreeing to this experiment and I wish you that the price would rise and that you would get this bigger reward.
