But that was only the estimated odds actually, as I just found out, it's not the odds that you see at the time of betting but at the time of closing. But yes, it does seem that you only should bet close to closing to see the real odds. The weight multiplier doesn't really seem to give you much of an advantage (I could be wrong).

I'm sharing the exact outcome of my bet, so that you could see whether you are wrong or not. When I was placing my bet, the multiplier was 5.17x, and here's what I won in the end:

As you can see, I bet 1,000 sats and then won 5,254 sats. I didn't won 5,170 sats, but I won more because the Time Weight Multiplier was taken into account.

In case someone interested, this time I bet on New Zealand in the ICC Cricket World Cup Semi Final between India and New Zealand event. But do not take an example from me, think for yourself. I almost always bet with high odds, and I'm wrong most of the time.

No, I don't see any reasons to bet with such low odds. To win something significant you need to risk with huge money. Risk to lose still remains and if you will win, your profit will be not not significant. BTW, traditional bookmakers giving 1.29 odds for Brazil wins what is also doesn't looks very attractive odds.

1.01-1.06x are the payout ratios I suggest avoiding at all costs
usually the margin on them way higher and you risk losing your coins more than betting on a value 2-3x

Its hard to be sure of who will win the football matches especially the knockout ones. I do not see any reason to risk big amount on Brazil for only 1.06 odd. That's very low percentage because if you lose, you will lose all money but in case of win the profit will be only 0.06%.
