@TheQuin, it's going to take a long time for them to whitelist freebitco.in or they may never do. I don't think it's a fast fix to make.

We're talking to their support, we'll see what happens.

Good luck with their support, I just add freebitco on web exclusion list and then it work normally. Mainly I use it on my smartphone, but since I have your banner on my site I notice it stop loading, and few users report me it is broken. MB Premium is great protection and I use it for years, but they block all related to browser mining which is in a way good thing since many site owners use it without a user's permission.

I suspect it's from when you used to be able to mine dash from the site, it was probably intensive enough to get blocked by their firewall.

It was Monero but yes that's what Malwarebytes have said was the reason. Even though you had to actually choose to use it and we even removed it from the front page quite some time ago.

Can someone post a screenshot of the notification you get when it is blocked for me?

Here you go, hope this helps Smiley Thanks for your quick response earlier

The link stops working:
404 Not Found
The requested URL /mining.html was not found on this server.

Is it permanently removed?

I'm not sure if it is permanent or not, but Malwarebytes is blocking us because of it so we've removed it for now.

I do not have any Malwarebytes software on my computer (Linux) and the primary DNS server either.
Why mining should not be possible?

The mining page is deleted, TheQuin just said so:
I get the same error on my phone without any AV and technically a firewall but it wouldn't say 404 it'd say something else. Did wetsuit delete that part of the site maybe.

Yeah, the mining page has gone as we are trying to get Malwarebytes to remove the block.

Malwarebytes is blocking access to Freebitco.in on my computer too. It's odd because it was working fine one day, then blocked the next.

They have blocked it because we used to offer browser mining. You can add it to your exceptions list by following the instructions here:

This is a gambling site that has existed for a long time. He will not disappear. You should check again that your website address is correct enough. Maybe your firewall has blocked it?

You should read my previous reply as it already answers the question. Please don't confuse the matter.

We tidied up the front page a bit and removed the mining link.

You can still mine using the link:

mining.freebitco.in/mining.html?userid=XXXXXX

Obviously, replace XXXXXX with your own user ID.

I wouldnt take that jump of logic quite so quickly when the whole of crypto is pretty much listed as a scam overall by virus detectors.   Plenty maybe the majority of mining software is assumed to be invasive and/or installed against the users wishes.  Quite often there is no option to select that crypto is on the list of uses for the machine and to proceed without removing all points mentioning crypto.

ITs not a scam automatically, maybe search a little further before taking it as gospel.  Alot of that software is built to serve a workplace environment where they would not tolerate such things, doesnt apply to us so much is my take.

I notice for few days that this site is blocked by Malwarebytes : Your Malwarebytes Premium blocked this website because it may contain riskware. We strongly recommend you do not continue. Some users may have problem because of this, even it is not to hard to add site to exclusion list, but it will be good to owner check what causes this warning.

I'm not familiar with how Malwarebytes works. Anyone know what basis they block things on? Is it user reports or something technical?

this once again suggests that they are scammers

Obviously. Why would you pay people 5 Sat per half an hour if you weren't harvesting their data? Also, afaster clock speed, more RAM and Internet speed allowed you to earn more, coincidence? I think.not Smiley!
