It is good to see freebitco.in improving the security for the site, there may be some users who have deposit huge amount of bitcoins into their account to earn the annual interest rate of 4.08% on the site, it is better to allow users on the site to set up 2FA to protect their accounts.

Ya it is good that they improve their security but they should have done so long about. Btw 4% is not much. Yolodice focws a much better return then that. Also Yolodice have a much lower house edge and on top of that a rackback feature. I guess it's the faucet here that attracts people though yolodice has a good faucet too.

Yes, faucet and their lottery system attracting many people to visit this site because every week around 2 BTC lottery and one can get these lotteries at free of cost so many people visit this site. But their hi-low game house edge is very high so people shouldn't waste their money in trying this game instead of play on some other site where house edge is low.
that house edge will kill you out of balance and those who keeps playing using their faucets earnings are just wasting their time, but its a good concept
that has been established by the owner itself until now people still visiting ad collecting some coins and use it to enjoy the hi-low game.

Hey Friends, there's been some chatter on other threads about enabling 2FA. We highly recommend it but we're enhancing security so even if you choose not to use it you still have greater security from hacking and theft.

NEW FEATURES ANNOUNCEMENT

Because we know some of you won't want to use 2FA we've enhanced security measures even if you're not using it.

Leveraging email notifications and authorizations, we're enhancing security to:
  • Request a withdrawal - You'll need to authorize all withdrawals from your email address
  • Login from a new device - You'll need to verify the use off the new device via email

I know, additional steps but it's worth it to make sure that you are the only person interacting with your account.

If you have questions, I'm nearby!

Those are good features. Especially that the a withdrawal request has to be confirmed via one's email. I think it makes almost impossible for a hacker to rob a user of your site. I know that email can be hacked too, but nevertheless enabling this feature will make it much harder for hackers to withdraw money from one's account.

Also I want to ask once again, will the captcha stay forever from now on on the site?

I think they should add a option to get the verification via mobile phone too... {this must be totally voluntary and not be

forced onto users} Some people could care less about privacy and anonymity and wants extra security. I personally would

not use this, because I value my privacy, but in these strange days... hacking is a reality.  Cheesy
Isn't 2fa via google authenticator/authy enough? it's better than mobile/sms based 2fa. freebitcoin does have a 2fa recovery option via mobile, in case people lose their 2fa device/key.

I much prefer the authenticator app too.
It is much better as it can also run offline, even if you can't connect to a network or you have aeroplane mode on, you will still be able to get your code to put into the site.

I believe that it is been there for some quite time. More over, if you compare this anual interest to other investment, this is much lower but sure have lower risk too and I can say it is free risk because the amount you get over time is fix 4.08% which is pretty good amount too. But the problem here is, do you willing to put lot of money there and stack it? I know they have been doing good this lately but we never know when they will be gone

That is always the risk when you don't own the private keys, but then obviously there is no way to make any return on safely secured coin. This site has been around for a long time and has built up trust with the way they have run the business, so I think the level of risk is reflected in that 4.08% return. The best advice is not to put all your investments in the same place, split it around many and if anything goes wrong you will not lose all.

Capture is disabled if you keep a balance x2 your total free roll winnings and meet a minimum (undisclosed) betting requirement ie multiply BTC and/or buying lottery tickets.

NEW FEATURES ANNOUNCEMENT
I was about to post something regarding lack of new features for some time now...
And than boom, this announcement happens Smiley At first I'm thinking to myself, "damn they reading my thoughts!"
Reading along and it's "just" a security update, which in itself is cool, don't get me wrong but it is booooooring  Grin
Boring and something new, not necessary innovative / revolutionary is required, if you ask me.
Offerwalls maybe? It has some potential if handled properly (high profit margin for the users, like 95/5%, with PTCWall setup like that FreeBitco.in would be even more awesome)

Nevertheless good update, thanks.

I have to say this is one of the best faucets out there.
So far, i made about 300k sats out of 800 Claims. That's about 375 sats per Claim.

How?

I gambled on the site with a "high" bankroll (0.25 BTC) and got the Bonus amount by wagering.
This Bonus lasts VERY VERY Long and decreases only slowly.

Also, the possibility of the multiply Bonus account is kinda nice.

So far, freebitco.in earned me about 0.07 btc Smiley

May I know how much time you spent to earn that 0.07 BTC?

Almost 33.4 full days to earn 0.003 BTC and also you risked your 0.25BTC to increase per claim amount. This site got highest house edge and it is not worth to risk your 0.25BTC to earn a small increment in your per claim amount.

You should have spent that time in some other place to earn better amount instead wasting to claim small amount. You may not use all time to claim it but still it is waste of time.
Most of time peoples not thinking what they are doing but after losing big amount then they realize what they lost currently spending here on this site is really lost of money better giving chance to some other site is much better and have good chance I am using this site just for fun and keep roll hope some time have some good luck for higher roll

I too think that risking 0.25BTC is not worth for what they get the benefit from this site. The only feature you can use is getting more and more active referrals then can make some passive money but that is very very difficult to do it. I claim few times in a week to buy free lotteries to try my luck and never deposited single sat on this site because it is not worth to waste my money on such a high house edge game.

in the early days, when bitcoin was cheap, you could earn 1-2.000 satoshis per claim
thats if you were claiming only the smallest ones and not even counting ref money
so if he is an early freebitcoin "adopter" Smiley he could have earned more than that (0.07 btc)
I think I earned over 0.33 from the site in total, majority from ref comissions though

Campaign Management?"Hhampuz" is the Man
Forgot to add that i use my reward points from wagering for 1000% claim bonus. i got about 70k reward points, so this lasts a while.

It is possible to make profits; u just need to play as safe as you can and eventuelly take a little loss as long as you can recover it with the better claim amount.

70k reward Points
1x 1000% Bonus = 3k reward Points

70k reward Points = 23x 1000% BTC Bonus

meaning in my case about 0.0023 BTC in 23 days.
not  bad and the idea is really good but risking .25btc would take me to think more times before trying to do your strategy if that can be called how well did
you do from this site and take that advantage, maybe also you got a lucky day to reach and win .07 with this site. good job mate.

If you're sat in front of a computer all day then it's not really wasting any time to have it open in a tab on your browser. I've been doing this on and off since the site started and picked up about 15-20 active referrals. My free roll winnings + referral commissions - multiply losses = 0.34552756 so about $1500.

This is really good earning because I am also using this site for some time but have no income like this because I fail to bring any referral on this site but have some small prizes which give me good amount of satoshies just for information which site you using for bringing referrals because I also want to bring some for me on this site

It's fair to say most of that comes from the referrals. Of 513 signups most only play for a short time but I always seem to have 15-20 very active on the faucet, not so much on the gambling. I did have one high roller a couple of months ago that I earned 0.07 from multiply BTC commission in one weekend. I guess they must have lost eventually because they never came back.
