No logic in buying a ticket for just 1 satoshi? I don't see much of logic in keeping 1 satoshi either. Smiley It won't be a lot of money even if BTC hits $1 million, right? So, I wouldn't call it "spending money", if you ask me. It's spending 1 satoshi and making your life a little bit more entertaining with that. Smiley

It's worth noting that any user of the freebitcoin site can easily get a few thousand tickets and sats with the daily free spins of the wheel of fortune. So there is no particular need to spend sats to buy additional tickets. As for me, if a user has some sats left on his balance, it's better to spend them on buying FUN tokens rather than lottery tickets.

I absolutely agree with you, but believe it or not, if your getting lottery tickets from free rolls is disabled, and you have just 2 WoF spins per day on average, there are some weeks when you have zero lottery tickets. I personally consider those weeks lucky ones because I prefer getting RPs or some satoshis from my WoF spins, but in that case I buy at least 1 ticket to make my chance of winning the lottery not zero.

That's the point, summer holidays could be good or bad for casinos. It means bad things because there are less people who are involved and some of them left for vacations, but it means good because it means there are a lot of people who stayed and the ones that stayed gambled more.

I am not sure how much the wagering amount changed, but I am sure that we are talking about people who ended up with a bit of a problem of gambling if they are all in front of PC. So, it's both good and bad, less people but more wagering by those people. This could be the main reason why some have as much as 83, because they were here during holiday when everyone else was on vacation.

I almost never gambled through the holiday season except a bit, really low amount of satoshis spent for this activity.I was lucky a couple of months ago when I hit the 50 GT prize in the WoF which I also believe to have been the first to hit such prize since the WoF was implemented by Freebitco.in.

That number is not big if we compare it with the last winner of the Lambo which was a whale with more than 4300 tickets, now that is a huge number of tickets and if we multiply it by 25.000 Satoshi it is equal to 1.076 Bitcoin spent on the site, that is truly a huge amount but at least it got rewarded with a Lambo.

Normally the summer holidays is the calmest period for a lot of sites just because a lot of people are going on a holiday or are travelling. I have only 2 golden tickets (won both with the WOF) and you only need to have 1 to win it lol. Congrats with the 83 tickets and hopefully someone from this forum can win the lambo!

I have not experienced the seasons as much as they do in the USA, Europe, because for now I live in a country that is essentially the center of the earth, and that only makes me enjoy two seasons, this is very characteristic of coming from a country With a tropical climate, I don't know if the seasons have any weight in the markets, but what I can notice is that luck has no time, it just manifests itself when it should arrive.

If you buy many tickets there are more options to win, but if you win it is always something that can benefit you, in the USA I don't know how the behavior is with the market on Wall Street, but the impact should not be so hard in strong seasons.

I can't find any way of reporting a false positive to APWG. Is there a way to whitelist the site in Opera (not a browser I use)?

It is possible to skip the warning and enter the site; decision is remembered and the next time page opens without warning, but there is a red warning next to address bar:

That seems a reasonably easy way to deal with it.

Doesnt make that much sense when the southern hemisphere has the seasons inverse but the world has some general common timetable I guess mostly via schooling upto universities.  Even the markets have some lull June July August till around the period after Labor day which is today, so maybe we pickup volume then.

A false flag is an everyday normal event thats the thing, I set my browser to object to anywhere not https.  Its worth checking but not too uncommon, add in adblockers and most people are aware of having to give some leeway to warnings.  Consider all possibilities of course, dont be too lazy about it but theres no concurrence elsewhere or indication this is a valid warning.  Unfortunately I dont have too much trust in a resource which cant take time to verify their automated evaluation for one of the internets busiest websites, the negligence is on their part.

APWG has a contact page. Perhaps you could try sending in a form from there?

Have you sent a message to them yet? Did they answer you why they marked freebitco.in as potentially dangerous?

Did anyone tried to access Freebitco.in on Opera browser? I'm getting this message today:

Before asking additional questions, yeah, I'm sure that's correct link, I don't have any addons turned on and I don't use VPN. Everything works fine on Mozilla and Chrome.
Could be a false flag since other browsers are doing just fine. Might need further investigation, especially on Opera browser. Mine shows the same as well.

I see this other detail

Got 500 lottery tickets via WoF , but didnt reflect when I check kottery stats.

It takes a couple of minutes to reflect normally. What I do is when I get a prize,I open the Freebitco.in in my phone home screen as I have added Freebitco.in as an app there and go to the lottery tab, normally it should show you the updated number of lottery tickets.

I don't know if we should get to excited or not when we win a good number of lottery tickets as we are competing against a near 50 million user base here at the site so the chances are really low for us to win the first prize of the weekly lottery.
It is good as you have the patience to wait, and what you have explained is a good guide to cool the nerves of some panic users. If any issue persists of this sort though, I report without a further delay, yet I let a couple of hours pass, even a full 24 hours, but I have never experienced that long delay with Freebitco.in lottery tickets.

As for the 50 million users remark, you are right, it is unwise to think that anyone would get the lucky number. But it might still be you one day because it is a game of luck/chance, someone must be the winner, but just don't put your mind that's all.

Maybe by refreshing the browser the lottery display will be as it should be because I didn't experience it either for RP or Satoshi from WoF, the slowness in updating I only often experienced when buying FUN Tokens it took some time maybe around 1 minute until finally my FUN Token increased and also when locking the token will not update immediately.

I confirm, I have the same problem!

Company should contact APWG as soon as possible, because it is possible that their list will be used by others and soon freebitco will be black-listed everywhere.

(you may always manually ignore the warning and enter the site)

I like Opera, I already have it installed but I dont use it for this site because its not my main browser.    They are trying to give alot of utility to users to gain users and stay afloat as a rival to the main contenders such as chrome and msedge.    It doesn't have to be taken absolutely, I have to wave away alot of warnings for various reasons every day.   Crypto itself is a bit of a pariah online because its the wild west often, however this particular website is long established.
My general advice how best to navigate especially with any caution like being new would be to google the site you intend to visit and if google is happy to forward you on, its pretty legit.  They are useful on email as well for similar reasons, they sift alot of data by having that search engine so its a quick resource especially vs pop up sites.   Cant turn off the brain anywhere but thats an easy rule of thumb, anti virus constantly kicks up a fuss over anything crypto unfortunately etc.
Maybe freebitco.in was hacked and now malware is being distributed that steals BTC from the crypto exchange and Bitcoin Core wallets from players. Opera noticed this and notified its users, but Chrome hasn't figured it out yet. With which crypto sites do you have warnings?

There is no perfect filter it does involve some personal judgement.   Its not only crypto but gambling so you figure it out, its going to rank high on avoid for some.   Cant turn off the brain anywhere but thats an easy rule of thumb, anti virus constantly kicks up a fuss over anything crypto unfortunately etc.
