The stats page is cached on Cloudflare and updated hourly so if you reload the page and look again you'll see the total number goes backwards.

I think that name would just cause more confusion. Likewise, if the number stayed static for an hour and then jumped up ~300 people in an instant people wouldn't believe that either. The number you actually see is a very accurate estimate of the actual number. The counter animation just gives a sense of how quickly it really is increasing. You have to be very cynical to see that as a scam.

I was watching the landing website for Freebitco.in the other day and there is a counter of "Registered Users" that are showing the registration of users on the site. It currently stands on 38 Million + and it is climbing at a constant rate of almost 1 or 2 users a second.

Is this based on actual statistics or is this just a counter to show that the registrations are increasing? You cannot tell me that the rate of registrations are continuously increasing at more or less the same rate (24/7/365) Huh

Should the counter not be renamed to "Average Registered users" ? People might think it is bullshit statistics and a scam site, if they look at that. Huh

The 5 second redirect is a higher level of protection on Cloudflare. The last couple of hours was us reconfiguring it to hopefully end this attack.

yes it has been happening for the past 24 hours that i have seen. it keeps showing an empty page with 429 Too Many Requests text on it and sometimes shows the cloudflare page but then goes to the 429... thing again.

I also have some very painful visits to dentist but still not doing good hopefully its works for you and about site now its working ok for me as some time ago I was checking have no issue now its all good to go thanks for this all.

I think they are doing some sort of DDoS attack constantly and not stopping it, I do not get why anybody would think that this is a good idea, you are not scaring customers away from freebitcoin you are actually making the customers stick together behind freebitcoin to help them out and be more helpful towards them against the bad people who are doing this, you are consolidating the customer base.

Thequin do you see where it comes from? I know it doesn't matter because someone can just hire ddos attack from china while being in totally another country but maybe they are not that smart and they are doing it themselves. Hopefully you guys will find a way to get rid of it totally, I am sure you guys always had it but this one just slipped away but I feel like this will be over one day and you guys will find a permanent solution to it.

I hope they fix it ASAP and can put extreme protection so that it does not happen again. You know, maybe what other users think and worry too much and think negatively right away.
