The lottery has now been changed to accommodate for 10 Winners.  Grin Grin Grin - It was three before last weeks draw.

This is much better, because more people can share in the fun of winning something.  Grin

A lot of my friends started to use this faucet again, due to this new lottery feature. You should not forget to donate to charity, if you win something. {Pay It Forward}

Yes, I think so, too, the lottery is very good, people love to play in them.

I cannot for the life of me understand, why people cannot take 5 minutes of their day to solve a couple of capthas, get some free Satoshi's and use that to possibly win up to 1.7 Btc per week in the lottery?

What the hell, do you have to loose? It cost 0.00000032 BTC per lottery ticket.

I just solved 1 captha and I received 890 Satoshi's .... I bought 27 lottery tickets with that.. It took me 20 seconds.

If you are lucky and you win.... it would mean that your 5 minutes of effort, made you +/- $ 400 US ..... How long do you have to participate in signature campaigns to earn that?

That very diffirent between lottre and signature campaign, and not all person have time to solved 1 capta or maybe he not want to participate in freebitcoin because he have another work like trade or read news

but Iam appreciation with your opinion, i agree with you Smiley

Hmm.. Yeah. I dont mind spending five minutes a day for a chance to earn 1 Bitcoin. Before the lottery feature came out two weeks back, I already stooped visiting FreeBitco.in for three weeks. Simply because I dont want to spend my pricious time for those 'worthless' satoshi. However, I came back when there is the lottery features because I know I might stand a chance to win some Bitcoin. Have 200 Tickets during Lottery #1. Bought 1, 000 tickets for Lottery #2. Did not won any. I'm planning to save those satoshi from faucet for a few weeks. When it is time.. All in. I might stand more chance to win.

I have been using this while doing other things, and it finally paid off today, as I actually hit 9998 on a spin and won roughly $20.  I didn't think that it would actually happen, but it did.

That's pretty sweet.  I've only hit the one a couple tiers down from what you won two times, but don't really play too often.

I also hit it once and two of my referrals hit it, and I got some extra bonus income from their hits.

You only need to hit the lottery or the jackpot system once, to make up for the time you spend on the site.

Let the others moan and bitch about the time wasted on faucets and we have a better chance to win again.  Grin Grin Grin

Bring it on.... It's a fun experience and it does not cost me a cent of my own money.

Faucet sites only good if you have many referrals, otherwise its just a waste of time. Personally for me the max win i get from freebitco.in is 8k satoshi in a single claim

Worth very little these types of sites but if you have a bot with them all working them at once and payments come from them is good. But using a bot and cheating also can get banned from them too.

how long have faucets been around?

were there faucets when BTC was worth 15$?

I want to know, because when btc was still at a low value, faucets probably paid out much higher amounts of btc.

what was only pennies a few years ago would be quite a lot now.

it would be the only time faucets have been worth the hassle and time... I guess if btc goes to the moon there will be some happy present day faucet users out there.

Take for example the following thread, started by giantdragon, in 2011, relating to his ad sponsored faucet: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/dailybitcoinsorg-bitcoin-faucet-sponsored-by-ads-32532. Initially, the faucet seems to have been giving out somewhere between 0.0005 btc and 0.005 btc per hour - definitely not bad, going by today's prices - and I'm sure others paid out even more.

The first ever bitcoin faucet was made by Gavin Andresen in June 2010, and at that time the faucet was giving out 5 btc per IP per day.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/get-5-free-bitcoins-from-freebitcoinsappspotcom-183

According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Bitcoin#Prices_and_value_history, the bitcoin price was in between $0.008 to $0.08 back then.

the new lottery feature makes it somewhat interesting again.

you get 2 tickets per roll and 1 ticket per ref

Yes. I've login to my old account there, and I've played few times for some lottery tickets. Hope that I can win Smiley However their payouts (870 satoshis as of the time I was playing) is still not significant compared to signature campaigns here...

Well I won on their lottery so its good. Smiley

what price? the biggest one?

the new lottery feature makes it somewhat interesting again.

but its impossible to win as bunch of people are using it

you've got nothing to lose and if you refer you get more tickets thus increasing your chances of winning Smiley

besides losing your time, which can be converted in more money than playing with a single faucet, not even a rotator

You would probably get more if you got a job and then bought BTC with money from the job.

many don't won't to buy bitcoin, they want to get them for free, i can understand this, it's more funny i think

It's not impossible to win, it's just that the probability is very low given how many tickets are being given away.  If you look at the winners though, they have thousands of tickets, so they likely just bought tickets to increase their chances and it paid off for them Smiley

That like solo mining in Bitcoin

It is not free, you spend your time by rolling.

You could use the time to make some posts, for example

It is true. But if you consider that they are giving money away for free.
I must say this is the best faucet ever.

But, unless you have referrals working for you, the coins you get from the faucet aren't really free, are they? You still have to pay for them with the cost of electricity to keep your computer running, and more importantly, with your time and energy - time and energy which could be better spent doing something productive, instead of solving captchas for a living. And has mallard pointed out, you would probably be getting a lot more coins that way. Tongue
