I do agree with you, but I am at a computer most of the day anyway. This means I can quickly learn .01 every month doing pretty much nothing. If I try to get 10 more referrals, I could probably earn .1 a month for doing nothing. It's hard to get referrals but would definitely be nice to find a good way to do it!

I signed up for a couple of these(I am hoping you got referral from me)

I also told my friend who I got started on Bitcoins about these and he tried to sign up under me, with no luck. He signed up and I saw him do it, but it just doesn't look like I am getting any referrals for some reason!
