Before even downloading and installing any wallet you should have used this forum, reddit and google to check the feedback, of course every wallet/exchange will have sometimes bad/negative comments, but some of them are just bad in most cases, so people should avoid it otherwise they will lose funds and time I feel you, I had the same situation with DOGE recently. But it was too silly of me to blame Freewallet. After providing them all the requested info, my DOGE finally reached the account.
I provided them with all the documents, and there are 2 types, a certificate, screenshots from where the money came from, and each time they ask for something else, I don’t give so many certificates to the bank. They see that I don’t understand in cryptocurrency and ask for something that I don’t have

But from where you know who is the rightful owner of the account considering he was allowed to deposit the large amount without any KYC procedure ? What if I make an account , I deposit a large amount of coins , then someone hacks my account , he tryes to wd , you ask them for KYC , the hacker aswell can pass KYC considering u have no prior information on me , so KYC is irrelevant .
This unfortunately happened with Bittrex too. Back in 2017 (or was it 2016? Cannot remember) they decreased the withdrawal limit for unverified users to 0BTC, which means you weren't able to withdraw even a 1/10 of a penny. Users were all forced to verify their identity to take their money out of the exchange. However, you could've deposited a million dollars if you wanted with no verification requirement.
Poloniex, on the other side (I used to support it back then, but since Justin bought it it's turned to sh*t..), has also decreased at the time their limits. However, they were fair: existing in verified accounts had verification requirement on DEPOSIT and no requirement for withdrawals.
This is a very crappy move from Freewallet in my opinion. I never had a wallet thanks to the warnings from most reviews the wallet has.

My big question is why are users allowed to anonymously deposit money, but are requested identity proof when withdrawing. If verification is required, it should be right from the creation of an account.
It sounds like a fishy move to be because some users (me included) would like to keep their profile low. I'm not doing any shady activity, but if I deposit money on a website anonymously and they then request me identity proof to withdraw, I would most likely prefer considering it a loss and move on. The money stays on the platform, it's not under my ownership anymore.

I believe that they are selective scammers so you may have an opportunity to get your money back by cooperating with the support team.
