Nantes v Monaco was really one of the interesting matches I have seen in the Ligue 1 recently. I mean the match was actually under control for Monaco especially in the first half. They got a 2-0 lead already and I don't remember how many times they wasted chances to score their third goal as well. This match proves a point that even a 2-0 lead isn't completely enough to be confident about a win.

Nantes' goals were such easy ones. A header following a cross and there it is! Grin

They didn't even play properly during this match so I just call them as lucky to have this one point today. Monaco had better improve their defending against this kind of situations. This is an important point loss for them while trying to qualify for the Champions League.

didn't see much intensity in the French league this season. There is quite a decline in performance, both from the top teams to those in the relegation zone. French league is becoming weaker than before , for that I wouldn't expect more from a team like nice, not to talk more of seeing them in Europe league. If they can't show strength in the French league how then will it be possible in European competition that is made of teams from different tough leagues. Even the conference league title will not be an easy task for Nice judging from the aforementioned reason.
