It seems to me that the main reasons are economic. In England, the best conditions for football as a business have been created (even if there is a lot of dirty money there now), while in France (maybe something has changed there since Hollande, I don’t know) football (and other business) are literally strangled. And again, look at Italy - they once dominated, but for a long time their economy has been stagnating and they are dying out. In Spain the situation is slightly better but there only the top clubs remain at the top (but at the same time Barcelona is close to bankruptcy lol).
I'm not an expert but I believe the same economic conditions for football exist in other European countries, but why I say quality is because of the Middle East. For example I think you can invest as much money as you want and even buy all the tv rights in Saudi Arabia. No limits, no quotas, no nothing, you can buy Ronaldo if you can pay 200m a year salary, no problem.
And the profits from football clubs there, guess what, is almost tax free!
So what's stopping football from becoming great there? Even better than England. Sky TV and all the others have rights, to watch it abroad you have to either pay or pirate. Saudi football can be watched for free. Saudi economy is booming for 30 years, no recession, oil pumping, no tax even... But who wants watch football to even with Ronaldo there?

Lens should have had the opportunity to overtake Marseille in 2nd place in the standings but they failed to win. I don't think Lens is a team that can really get tough competition with PSG even though they have beaten PSG this season. I admit PSG have not been in their best form lately. But PSG are still few points ahead of their rivals which makes me believe they are still safe to lead Ligue 1 for longer. I consider PSG to be the most potential title-winning team this season, but it seems PSG has extra focus on the Champions League against Bayern Munich.I'm looking forward to that match and I hope both teams put out a good performance. PSG may find it difficult to win the first leg in the absence of the injured Mbappe, but the performances of Messi and Neymar can to be expected.
As we agreed. Lens can perform quite well because they don't have a busy schedule, unlike other strong teams who compete in several tournaments. for example, Marseille. Marseille's performance had dropped due to their busy schedule, plus several injured and exhausted players. The year they lost to Lille was the year they followed that up with Messi and became so much better. I almost feel like if they end up losing this year, which they won't, then it would be even better for them because they may get some other new amazing players.
They are good enough and rich enough to do that, which means there is a possibility they may react to their loss with spending 200+ million on getting new players, which in return means they can win some more titles and even be better in UCL as well for the future. I know spending that much money on a team without getting a result sucks for fans, but it may have long term benefits at least.

That's a very disappointed result for lens. Lens was expecting to get full points against lyon but it was losing. Lens will be so difficult to follow marseille to be closer with PSG. I thought that this was the golden opportunity for lens to be closer with PSG. It seems like that the current target for lens to participate in UCL. Marseille is the only competitor for PSG although marseille has big gaps to the PSG. I hope that PSG will be losing against bayern. This will be also affecting the performance from PSG in the domestic league.

Yes, I can relate to your disappointment in the final score between Lyon and Lens. Losing a wager because your team lost is especially frustrating. Lens' current losing streak and slide down the standings can be directly attributed to their lackluster forwards' play. One symptom of the problem is the team's inability to score goals in its last four games. It's reasonable to have doubts about their title chances, but there's still a lot of soccer to be played. Marseille is currently PSG's main rival for the crown. And Monaco is also a big threat, but anything can happen in sports. Let's not write off Lens just yet; they might be able to turn things around and stage a comeback. But at least I hope that they can secure the position in top 4

The defeat also lower Lens' position in the standings, while Monaco, which had win earlier against Paris Saint Germain, is currently in 3rd place, moving up one level in the standings with 1 point difference from Lens.
Next week Nantes will be Lens' next challenger, and Monaco will visit the Stadium Francis-Le Blé to take on hosts Brest
There should be no serious problem for both Monaco and Lens to add to their respective +3 point collections next week

The Lens team miserably lost the truck. They have lost points in their last four matches. And now the condition of their team is very bad. They have moved to fourth place in the points table. I think it's more about quality. Before EPL got all their money they attracted a lot of quality and wanted to play very good football. Exciting football. Plus a lot of people everywhere they wanted to show it spoke English. I think English as a language was the key secret.
French football outside the big teams is nowhere as good as Italian or Spanish or English, so it needs to change that first, at least this is how I see it.

I think the biggest luck PSG has this season has been teams that are close to them end up losing games that they shouldn't lose at all.
I know it sounds like something that is a bit weird and not totally making any sense, but that is the situation we are in right now, they are basically at the top just because other teams not being good at all, and that is not really understandable to me because if Lens or Marseille won a few more games they would have been a lot closer, or even be at the top and I do not mean like beating each other or PSG, they even beat PSG, but then they go ahead and lose to Lyon, which is why they are not at the top right now, because they lose points in games they should win.
Losing 8 points in the last 5 matches has made their rivals even closer to them. Marseille, which is in second place, is PSG's closest rival with a difference of 5 points, while Monaco, which is in third place, is 7 points behind PSG, which is still in first place. Football is sometimes very difficult to predict, big teams can slip up at any time from small teams that are not seeded. That's the problematic of leagues other than EPL and Serie A mainly. La Liga has a duo that control it, Bundesliga has exclusively Bayern and Ligue 1 almost exclusively PSG too.
The problem is essentially financial, since these teams have more money and more spending abilities than the other teams. However, even the other teams took responsibility for what happens to them!
The domination of PSG in Ligue 1 is bad for them in Champions League. They don't have enough challenge every week in Ligue 1 and that does not help their players to force themselves to play at their best. They don't have enough reasons to seriously train themselves in training. It only makes PSG players weaker with time and I think consequences of their domination in Ligue 1 was reflected very correctly in Champions League.The problem is essentially financial, since these teams have more money and more spending abilities than the other teams. In Champions League, PSG can play well too but only if things go well for them. When opponents challenge them, make some shocks to PSG, their players fail to response against opponents and fail at the end too.

Problems with Lille and Monaco are very similar. They were not able to keep their best players and have to sell those players to bigger clubs. They got good transfer costs in return but their competitiveness is weaker after each transfer season.
