There are 2 very interesting matches for us to wait for in match week 8 in Ligue 1, those are the Marseille Vs Rennes and Lyon Vs PSG matches. Since the start of the league until now, PSG still dominates the Ligue 1 standings and no one can replace them.

Maybe this time we can hope to Lyon that they can make PSG lose their first 3 points in the league. I personally plan to choose Lyon in this match, I think at least they will draw against PSG. What do you think?

In addition we also have the match Marseille Vs Rennes. Rennes have been doing pretty well lately, so I'm a little hesitant to bet on Marseille's win, even though this match will be played at the Velodrome.

Actually if we look at it now it's not that bad because regardless of how he plays he is still one of the decisive ones in some PSG games now.
The problem for the champions league and the title in Ligue 1 is the result of the cumulative team, we can't blame the individual because I still feel his selfishness can be a natural thing because don't forget who made him selfish at this time.
yes i also agree with you. Mbappe is a player with too good speed, shooting playmaking, strong dribbling can play a complete striker and winger spot and he has brought PSG this season and the scary thing is he will continue to improve. if it's about ego, I think that's a natural thing as a forward, especially since Mbappe is still very young to make history.
Actually about the Ego of Mbappe is a bit raised even though there are things better than him like his current form but most people still see the fault in terms of Ego for Mbappe at this time.
He's a striker and it's clear he needs ego in this regard as for being too selfish it's the nature of having authority because he's now in charge at PSG and because of his age he's still not very mature.

If Marseille can maintain this good form in the many match to come including when they away to PSG, then I can say they deserve to be strong contenders for the title. But it is something that is difficult even though until week 7 they are unbeaten.

Marseille will face PSG in mid-October. This is PSG's home match. If Marseille manages to beat PSG in this match then I would say Marseille is a worthy contender for this season's title. If PSG wins against Marseille then we will see PSG dominate this season as in previous seasons. And PSG will win the title at the end of the season. Personally, I think Marseille will lose their consistency very quickly and start going down the points table.
It's still a long way from that I think because now is not the time to think about that for Marseille because the match against Rennes will be tough, not to mention they still have to rotate players by preparing for the 3rd meeting against Sporting CP in the Champions League so instead of thinking too much about the match against PSG then it would be better for them to think about doing well in their next match

Marseille have had seven good matches in Ligue 1, but it was different when they played in the Champions League. Losses against Tottenham and Frankfurt in two Champions League matches were really worrying, Igor Tudor pointed to fatigue and injuries that hit his squad as factors that prevented them from winning the match.
So I don't think marseille is ready with a pretty hectic schedule, they are having trouble dealing with the problems that occur due to fatigue and injuries that hit the squad.

In contrast to PSG, by confirming their victory over M. Haifa, PSG can focus more on continuing its positive trend in Ligue 1.
I am not sure that Marseille will be able to consistently compete with PSG in the next matches.
Because that is the real Marseille that we know, not the one in the league. Many people sees Ligue 1 as the worst of the 5 big leagues, and this is the main reason.

In Serie A, we had juventus domination for a while, but now we have Inter and Milan winning the title, so it's three teams that's fighting for the title this year, whereas ligue 1 is a PSG league and all other teams are good compared to each other when they are ranked at the end of the season but they are not real y that good, the team that finishes second in Ligue 1 could lose to 5th or even 6th of a premier league team, and that's why Marseille looks decent now, but in reality they are not really that good at all.

Marseille so far still looks great in ligue 1 and they managed to get a win without losing even once like PSG who are at the top of the standings, we admit their performance in the league is still much better than in the champions league and I think it is difficult for marseille to come out from the group phase champions league, now it seems better for marseille to focus on ligue 1 than them chasing the champions league which is indeed very difficult to get for a team like marseille, good performance in ligue 1 at least put pressure on PSG although maybe it won't last long .
Marseille is a fickle team, I mean they can't be expected to be stable all the time because the quality of the team is almost the same as many other teams in Ligue 1. PSG won't be under much pressure from Marseille especially as it's still early in the season with 7 match. You probably know that Marseille's form will decline over time, and I don't think that's ever surprising to look forward to.

If Marseille can maintain this good form in the many match to come including when they away to PSG, then I can say they deserve to be strong contenders for the title. But it is something that is difficult even though until week 7 they are unbeaten.

If Marseille maintain their superb form in the league and defeat Rennes in that tough match on Sunday, they will capture the lead in the standings temporarily. A draw is also enough for doing so but this might cause the point gap with PSG to get bigger later on that day. However this can be one of the weeks PSG stumble in the league. Because they don't have an easy job against Lyon away.

Lyon have improved their effort a lot compared to the previous season. Lacazette's returnal helped the team be even more effective about scoring also. However Lyon's form for two weeks isn't very good. They lost to Lorient and Monaco both. They will be more desperate for a win against PSG. And they will surely hope PSG to play in a relaxed way after having a Champions League match. They made things really difficult for PSG in this stadium in their last head-to-head. They can repeat it this week too so I don't trust PSG to bet on them this time. I'd rather go with both teams to score at 1.45.

Yes they look good in the Domestic League, but not in the higher Leagues. The opponents they faced were of a completely different level. That's what makes it very difficult for them to be able to talk more in a competition like the Champions League. Meanwhile, here, I think we already know how many teams have strong predicate. So they are more able to compete here, although they cannot break the dominance held by PSG.

Yes it is realistic when they prefer to focus on the Ligue 1. Suffering two defeats made it very difficult for them to qualify from the group stage. Talking about their opponents in this group stage, I can actually say that they are quite evenly matched. But Marseille has not been able to play that well to beat the 3 clubs that are its competitors. Maybe I can say that they are not ready for a higher stage like this Champions League.

To do well in the Champions League, an experienced squad is needed and the players must be confident. Marseille players may be parceled to play well in Ligue 1. But they are not experienced enough. And so we see a poor performance from Marseille in the Champions League. Qualifying to the next round of the Champions League is now almost impossible for them. So Marseille should try to perform well in Ligue 1 matches.

If we look at the two defeats that Marseille experienced in the Champions League, it seems that Marseille is difficult to perform well
in the Champions League. Very different when Marseille played in Ligue 1 they appeared consistent, so they could have the same
points with PSG. The problem is that Marseille has a reserve player whose quality is very different from the main team, so Igor Tudor as
Marseille coach became very rarely rotated players. As a result, it is not surprising if Marseille's players become exhausted and there are
even injured players. That's one of the reasons why Marseille are only good at playing in Ligue 1, whereas when they play the Champions League
they struggle to win.

Marseille are faced with a very tight fixture schedule, then it will be very difficult if they don't have good quality reserve players. If that's
the case, Marseille would be better off focusing on just one competition. Maybe I think it's better for Marseille to focus on Ligue 1,
because the opponents that Marseille will face in Ligue 1 are not as difficult as the opponents that Marseille will face in the Champions League.
Unless Marseille can bring in many new players to strengthen their squad, then Marseille can appear consistent in all matches,
including performing well in the Champions League.

If I see the last match, Marseille only focuses on Ligue 1. but it's not a problem if it's a chance to better because PSG is a great rival that needs full power and energy to concentrate. So far they create the same points and progress, the statistic has been better with 5 wins in a row, maybe because their players are pretty good on average which makes Alexi Sanches look comfortable with the strategy.
Marseille was not focus to France league only and their poor performance on champion league proven their current squad is not ready to playing for tight schedules from several competitions and i have to say Marseille in champion league is only mediocre team even on season 2020 they was stopped at group stage with only once win from 6 matches and France league is different because they know their opponents in this league so no wonder if Marseille has better performance in France league and althoigh i am doubt but i hoping they can be more consistent and provide decent challenge to PSG for race title

Marseille's performance in Ligue 1 is excellent. And we have to accept it. They are consistently playing well. In the last match, they managed to beat renowned teams like Lille. Marseille has lost both of their Champions League matches. Marseille's players failed to score against any of the teams from Tottenham and Frankfurt. I would say that Marseille is more focused on Ligue 1 now. Marseille knows very well that they do not have a strong squad to perform well in the Champions League. And so now they want to give their full focus to Ligue 1. And I guess they will be able to maintain the consistency of good performance in Ligue 1 for some more time.

There are some players who have the ability like him, but don't have the ego like him, that's a shame. If he can suppress what he has (ego), I'm sure he can be much better. Now with di like that also playing well, plus if he can suppress what is his weakness. I consider it a drawback, because it can harm him at any time.

Yesterday's home defeat against Eintracht in the Champions League showed just how weak Marseille are. Marseille have shown a good streak of results but it is clear that they will not have the strength to continue at the same level as PSG all season - unexpected results like yesterday will happen in Ligue 1. And even if, due to some miracle, Marseille can share points in face-to-face meetings with PSG, I am sure that by the middle of the season, Marseille will lag behind PSG very much.

What happened to Marseille yesterday can happen to any team regardless of their form at the moment. Marseille enjoyed more possession of ball in the game but failed to utilize their chances to score goals but I don't think their defeat is as a result of their weaknesses rather I think the luck was not on their side in the game at such they couldn't score a goal. With the performance shown so far by Marseille in Ligue1, I don't think the team is going to drop points even though they face PSG which is their biggest problem in the league right now, they can go all the way to beat PSG when they face each other If  they attack very well and do well in their defense line.

I still think that people are overrating this Marseille team, I mean they are of course not terrible and of course they can be second, each year we see a different team be a beast and they look like they have the biggest chance to be second.

However, the fact that some people expect them to beat PSG is a bit beyond what they should be capable of. It would be awesome for them if they can achieve it of course, but I do not think that they would be able to achieve such a thing and they would lose the league title if you ask me. However a good progress continentally and being second in the league all equals to a good amount of money, which could be sustained success if they use it well enough.

I was thought Lyon will continue their positive results because at the beginning of this season they had starting the league with promising performance but seems Lyon performance was decline lately because they were failed to win 2 times streak and against PSG obviously this is hard match for Lyon because although last season they can able to get draw result from PSG but head to head statistics showed PSG records is far better than them and i had checked the odds for this match and bookmakers provide decent odds for PSG @1.64 and i am quite sure PSG will win the match
But it's quite difficult now.
We know what PSG are like when they play and when Lyon play openly as they usually do this will make PSG feel comfortable because they can play freely.
I think in this case Lyon will continue to stay because it is difficult to make a move against PSG who can be said to be superior to them in any way.
