Totally agree here. Simple luck is when the result does not match the gameplay and we can see that since beating Real Madrid in Champions League 2 weeks ago, PSG have completely dropped off in performance.

Dominating in the UCL game in shots and chances, with zero saves to make from Donnarumma, to now conceding MORE shots and MORE chances than they created, you have to accept that the Parisians seem to be dropping off in performance.

As you said though, it could be just them saving everything up to guarantee their qualification. I never understand teams that do this however. Mentality is a habit, not something to switch off and on.

I think neither of Nice and OM were trying to catch and reach PSG, both of them are focusing on the 2nd spot which guarantees direct qualification to the champions league unlike the 3rd spot, everyone knows how almost impossible it to catch up with psg now, but it was a disappointing loss for Marseille they could've at least gotten a draw, but there is still more matches to come, in the next round Nice will face Montpellier which is a very difficult match for them and then they're going to face OM in velodrome, for me Marseille are the favourites to finnish second.

You were right! Except that PSG will play with a reserve squad - only Mbappe was absent (due to suspension). Nice had fewer days to rest but they were able to overcome PSG in an aggressive style, personally I was very surprised - I thought the PSG players would be motivated, among other things, by the absence of Mbappe to show that they can do something without him, but in the end it turned out that they can not. An unpleasant result ahead of the Champions League game, but perhaps it will allow PSG to more soberly assess their chances against Real Madrid.

What happens in my opinion is the following:

in france, PSG doesn't have a strong opponent, this makes the players unmotivated, an example of messi, in the league he doesn't have a player to say he's going to compete with him when he goes to play, he's at PSG where he has best players and in other league 1 teams there are no great players to be messi's rivals, in PSG messi ao e heroi, there are so many players that messi became more of a simple player, it was different when he was in barcelona that he had to compete with good players from real madrid and spain small teams are strong, different from france where PSG is as if it were invincible

I can't predict how the match in the Champions League will go, but I have some optimism (I'm a Real Madrid fan). I think you are wrong about Messi. First, Messi is the past. If a whole season is not enough for you to see this, then I don’t know what to say. Secondly, building a team around one person is always a bad idea, team play assumes that players will adapt to the plan and not vice versa.

Few weeks back Saint-Étienne were the worst team in French League but suddenly change of things giving good results to them, and they are out of relegation zone even it's still not safe zone for them as they have some tough matches in coming weeks which is not good for them but good thing all relegation zone teams having not good enough gape in points which can give them some interesting competition until end of this season.

Still, few teams are doing good after having very bad start, and they are trying their best for staying into good hunt for better spots in league table because it's near end of this season which need some improvement currently just PSG is having safe zone all other teams are still doing good work for their spot.

Firstly, I thought of betting on Nice to win. But after that, I changed it to their double chance. And thankfully, I didn't have much problem on winning. Nice showed a really great performance against PSG and didn't even let them have too many goal opportunities. This 1-0 win helped them secure the second position for this week too. And they will hope to see Marseille losing points against Monaco today. Whatever the result of it is, the fight for the second position seems to be really great.

The strategy adopted by most Ligue 1 teams is marking man where several players are placed to keep the opposing players tight so they don't qualify. In the Nice vs PSG match yesterday I saw this strategy adopted and used to make Messi unable to move freely where there are 3 to 4 players who are always ready to stop movement and acceleration on the field. In addition, the tackle or the strategy of dropping the opponent while dribbling the Nice coach also applied to Messi which made it difficult for Messi to control the ball longer at his feet.

Maybe it's true that Messi is not too happy playing at PSG because he is not the main star there. In addition, not all PSG players have the same qualities and understand what Messi wants, which makes it difficult for Messi to adapt well at PSG. It's too early to say that this defeat was due to the coach and required the management to replace the current PSG coach. This defeat is very reasonable because indeed they are not focused on Domestic league matches, I see even though PSG are in bad form when playing in the domestic league m but they are able to show a very good game in the UCL.
when viewed from the 1st leg game against PSG I believe PSG will be able to win in the second leg later.

Totally agree it was a deserved win for nice they were better than psg in every term but i agree that psg team was not the same in yesterday games they didn't play well and they didn't create much chances i think they are thinking about the champions league game its hard for them to play seriously when they have a 13 points lead from the second position, we will see a totaly different performance against real madrid.
