Marseille are still battling to secure a move for Mason Greenwood within 48 hours and it looks like it will be a thrilling few moments if the deal is locked. Marseille has given 30 million euros including bonuses to Manchester United and it seems this is still a serious consideration for the Red Devils whether to release the player or not.

On the other hand, this deal will also see Mason Greenwood contracted for 5 years and I think Marseille made the right move. However, if progress shows good things and Mason Greenwood's performance can be sharper, then Marseille will also benefit from his sale in the future. But first Marseille's focus is on needing his services to improve the attack line which has started to dull since last season.

Marseille continue to try to immediately complete the deal so that it happens immediately because indeed they are currently starting to improve the squad to face the competition next season, Roberto De Zerbi who will be their coach next season seems to have a very big ambition to bring a lot of changes to Marseille next season, the arrival of Greenwood will be able to add depth to their squad especially the midfield sector which was indeed their weakness last season,  Greenwood will be the right choice for De Zerbi, especially Greenwood  a player who can play in several other positions in a team, so that it will be easier for De Zerbi to place him according to the needs of the team later, in addition to Greenwood, currently Marseille is also eyeing Niketiah from Arsenal to replace Aubameyang who has reached a personal agreement with the Arab League team.

NY Times says Marseille has already reached agreement in principle with Greenwood.

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5628329/2024/07/16/mason-greenwood-marseille-manchester-united/

The details of the offered deals are:

- €31.6m in total
- €27.6m fixed fee + €4m add-ons

Manchester United didn't have an intention to let him go for a cheap price as far as I know. Talks were pointing a sum around €50m. If it's true then I'm really curious about the Red Devils' answer to the offer.  Smiley

He is a really talented youngster honestly. If I were in their place I would try to keep him or make as much profit as possible.

There was no financial problem for PSG. Naturally, their target was always UCL. After such a team cannot achieve its goal, it needs to work harder towards that goal with better transfers, but PSG seems to be a little tired of this. The French league is already a very simple level for them. There is a huge difference in quality between them and other teams. So if they are to fully focus on their goals this year, they must convince the best players. This is very difficult because League 1 is not a dream league like the Premier League.
They should wake up because losing Mbappe is really a big problem, it's not same like losing Neymar and Messi where they're replaceable. If PSG didn't sign any great player, their goal should be win Ligue 1 since there's a high chance they might not become a champion in this season.

Lyon have successfully sign 7 players, 4 of them are from Premier League. I wouldn't be surprised if Lyon will finish in the top 3 considering they can comeback from relegation zone to rank 6 in the last season.

Euro 2024 is over. The players will leave their national teams and return to their respective clubs or take holidays. I'm sure PSG management has negotiated with several players they will recruit. Several weeks ago there were many rumors circulating that PSG had entered into negotiations with Osimhen's agent, but was the transfer canceled because the two parties could not reach an agreement? To be honest, without Mbappe, I also think PSG is still hard to beat in their league and has a very big chance of becoming Ligue 1 champions again. But PSG has a bigger goal, namely becoming UCL champions. So I think this season Enrique will buy several players to strengthen their squad and hope to compete in the UCL.
Competing in the UCL will still be PSG's main target because the team will not be affected at all by not having Mbappe in their squad because in the past PSG has also experienced things like now when they lost Messi and Neymar so for now PSG's condition itself is still will remain strong in the domestic league. Even though PSG still has to add more strength at this time in order to be able to compete fiercely in the UCL because in the UCL there are many teams that are at the best level in every season.

......but I believe that he can become a coach that all PSG fans will be proud of because he is one of the coaches who has always dared to speculate about playing PSG without Mbappe before and in this way Enrique was able to measure how strong PSG's performance will be without Mbappe.
After everything was answered, Enrique knew several things he had to do to build a stronger club by bringing in more reliable midfielders.
Yes, this will be a new challenge for Enrique to manage PSG without top superstar football players. He once said that he still wanted Mbappe to stay at PSG, but after the decision, Enrique remained confident that he was still able to keep PSG strong, with PSG's composition without Mbappe. He quite believes in the various talents that are actually possessed by the talented footballers at PSG who are actually very good and solid as a team. Therefore, he is not necessarily looking for a replacement who is equal to Mbappe. Even when Mbappe was still at PSG, Enrique had started to compose the team without Mbappe, because after all they had to get used to it because Mbappe would also be leaving.

PSG was previously very interested in signing Barcelona's young star, Lamine Yamal. However, recent news suggests that Barcelona blocks PSG's $200m bid for Lamine Yamal. Barcelona has closed the possibility of transferring the young Spanish player and keeps him at Barcelona.

Apart from that, PSG's hopes of getting Kvaratskhelia also seem to be very difficult or will even fail, because the player prefers to stay at his club, Napoli. whereas previously, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was one of the most rumored candidates to move to PSG after the departure of Mbappe.

So, PSG will need more and more efforts to bring in top players to strengthen the team, because the competition in the French League may be normal, however, their target is still the UCL, which will be very difficult to achieve.

PSG does not need to spend much to compete in the French league. But this team's only target was never the league, they always targeted UCL and they spent accordingly. Now they have removed Mbappe and sold him, they need to make transfers to fill his place, for this they need to make a lot of meetings, convince the players and managers, work extra hours and at the same time increase the offers for the players they want.

Lens cannot be considered as big team in Ligue 1 but they are tough team in this league and last season is one of Lens best achievement during their participant at Ligue 1 because they can being an the runner up and playing at champion league but in the beginning of this season Lens performance a bit decline but luckily before this season ended Lens can able to bounce back and finally finish at 7th place

Lens' performance since he was promoted to League 1 is in the ordinary category but he has always been in the top 10 in the last 4 seasons and that is not bad and even finished runner up in the 2022/23 season but his performance declined in the following season because he had to participate In the Champions League, it is natural that Lens will have difficulty stabilizing their performance.

Unfortunately their previous manager Franck Haise has decide to withdraw from his position because he will being an the manager of Nice starting next season and i think this is a big lost for Lens because since 2020 Franck Haise has successfully to bringing Lens to performing stable in Ligue 1 and one of his best achievement is when Lens can playing at champion league
It is very unfortunate that the coach had to leave because while being coached by this coach, Lens continued to improve, but I also understand that every coach would want his career to continue to progress by coaching a club at a higher level than the previous club and he also needs experience in various clubs.

Lens has new manager now Will Still and if i am not mistaken he is currently as one of the youngest manager in Ligue 1 because currently Will Still age is 31 years old and what he was done in Reims actually is really good because this season Reims can finish at 9th place under him and about transfer players apparently Lens isn't too active this summer.
Yes, Lens has recruited a new coach, but the new coach doesn't have much good experience. He is a coach who has average abilities, but his skills when coaching Reims can be used as a reference. Hopefully he can be a good fit at Lens.
I don't think Lens has any intention of bringing in any players because up to now they are still quiet in the transfer window. Moreover, League 1 clubs don't have as much finances as other leagues, so I think Lens is just keeping existing players.

Lens still looks like a good team, in the past 4 seasons, they finished 7th 3 times, which I do not think I have seen a team be 7th for that many frequent times lol, but finished second previous season which is amazing for them. When a team is managed properly, you can see how great they can become, which is the most important thing for these teams.
Yes, but the club's decline was quite significant. Previously, they were able to become runners up in the French League 1 and entered the UCL even though they lost in the group stage. However, last season, they even failed to survive to enter the UEFA Europa League. This 7th position is the same as their position in 2021-2022, but in terms of points earned, last year it was also much less, only 51 points, whereas in 2021-2022, they got 62 points.

And for this season, their purchases are still not experiencing very rapid progress. Yes, we really understand the financial conditions of small clubs there, it's definitely not easy to get good finances.
They just got 2 players that they bought, namely:
1. Johnner Chávez
A Left-Back who they bought from the Esporte Clube Bahia club
2. Herve Koffi
A Goalkeeper from R Charleroi SC

Source: RC Lens Transfer

Where, neither of them are famous players. So, we can't expect much from this club, unless they can provide much more significant and consistent progress, so that they can take over at least some of the clubs above it in the future.

However, it is highly likely that Osimhen will get a big move this summer. PSG, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Al Hilal are reportedly interested in the 25-year-old’s services, but nothing concrete has emerged yet, and everything has been silent for a while.

But in a new development according to Transfer News Live, PSG are still seriously interested in Osimhen, but they are unwilling to meet Napoli’s €130 million (₦230 billion) valuation.

Napoli wants to get rid of Victor Osimhen as they have eyes on Romelu Lukaku therefore PSG will have a good chance of signing Victor Osimhen if they want him. Victor is ready to move and also willing to reduce his wages but Napoli is holding him back as he has a very high prize tag but PSG need a star player in their squad since they have lost Mbappe to Real Madrid therefore they should go for him and not be worried about his price tag. Osimhen can fill Mbappe shoes and score many goals since the French league is less physical as the Italian league. If PSG doesn't show much interest they'll lose Osimhen to other teams as I think other top teams are following up with the transfer update and looking for a good opportunity to come in and steal Victor osimhen.

I really agree with you, indeed what PSG are targeting is not French league but champions league but unfortunately their dream as not come true after gathering top players but still it doesn't work out, now Mbappe his done and he was the face of PSG and now he went to Real Madrid, PSG will find it difficult to get Mbappe replacement because he was special to them in time of scoring goal, my worry is that can PSG get a replacement fast because the season is near, I know they will definitely do well even though Mbappé is not among them, they will only fill is absent in short term before they can get partial Mbappé.

I still think that Osimhen should be sold, dude doesn't want to stay and he saw that the year they were all great was just one year and they are not all great like that. So, I think he will be asking to leave, and they will be forced to sell him.

I don't know how much they will make from him, but I am 100% sure that it will be more than sixty million, even if he forces them to sell, they won't accept anything lower, and there is a potential for upwards of hundred million, which won't be easy to find anyone to pay that much because teams that have that kind of money already have strikers so I doubt that will happen. I think his agent should just be talked to, and tell the agent to find some good offers, that's it.

It was Osimhen's own fault for accepting the contract extension because after all, at that time Osimhen was also basically very confident to stay at Napoli even though Napoli had clearly changed coaches. After all, at that time I also said that Osimhen had made the wrong choice, because it was very likely that it would be difficult to leave when the results obtained decreased after the success in the previous season to get the Scudetto.

At the moment, it is at least evident that Osimhen is difficult to leave because elite teams like PSG are also considering the feasibility of a high price but declining performance in his last season with Napoli. Although of course, basically Osimhen will still be very capable of making a big contribution if he is in the right team.

Instead of acting without a plan, making the right moves with a planned move would be the best thing PSG could do. If they had acted in a planned manner from the past, they could have preserved top-level football by making a few changes to an established squad. However, when the unplanned move was made, people started wondering what PSG would do as soon as Mbappe left the team. Mbappe was given too much leniency. He is also a football player. We have seen that he can go to other teams without giving any transfer fee to the team. That's why I expect planned, slow and beautiful moves from Enrique this time.
Mbappe has always been highly valued by PSG and they feel that if Mbappe leaves their club, their performance will drop drastically. Despite their best efforts, PSG could not keep Mbappe at their club as Mbappe moved to Real Madrid after thinking about his career. It was supposed to happen but PSG realized it too late. Maybe PSG thought that Mbappe would stay at their club if they gave Mbappe all the perks as well as a huge annual fee, but that was not the case. Mbappe has left PSG so their club now needs a suitable replacement for Mbappe which PSG have not been able to do so far. Maybe they won't get a player like Mbappe but spending money in this transfer window will definitely strengthen their squad.
Previously PSG managed to keep Mbappe in the squad after PSG offered him many privileges, but currently all PSG offers for Mbappe are unable to make him want to extend the contract, rumors about Mbappe desire to leave PSG have actually been circulating since the previous season but PSG actually ignored it and their was confident that Mbappe would stay at PSG,  but the reality is that now PSG has lost a player worth 200 million euros who left for free to Madrid,  when the rumours of Mbappe leaving were getting bigger and bigger, PSG should indeed move faster to ensure Mbappe future and that will give PSG a lot of time to sell Mbappe even though it is a little cheaper than he left for free as it is today, although PSG may not be weakened in Ligue 1, but losing Mbappe will make it difficult for them to compete in the Champions League next season, so Inevitably, PSG must look for another striker to be their mainstay next season and Osimhen seems to be a good option at the moment.

Anyway, why I believe that PSG is not going to have a big problem is because they have a really good coach right now, Luis Enrique. a coach who has had incredible success with Barcelona. if they actually got him  A little earlier probably they could have even won the Champions League title. Anyway, You can't deny PSG still has a decent squad without Mbappé. They just need to get a player who is a genuine striker and will be able to score goals when needed.

Lens is a proof that if you put a very reasonable and smart person in charge, then you are going to get good results, results that nobody expects from you. This is going to be tough but it has to be the most important key situation for them.

Franck Haise brought stability to Lens but not success. Stability without success is useless and that's why coach Haise has left Lens. His next destination is Nice. I think Haise will bring stability at Nice. Lens has now turned over a new leaf and has brought in Will Still to lead the team. This must have come as a surprise to everyone. Still has been in the coaching kitchen from a very young age and I think he will make a name for himself for many years to come. Reims was one of the mediocre teams in Ligue 1 and Still made this team shine. Still's game plan emphasizes counter attacking football and has very little possession. Lens will actually have to completely change their tactics after Haise, but Still is a manager who makes good use of the players he has. I don't think Lens' poor transfer window will matter for Will Still.

Yes, PSG is still quite strong in League 1 even though they have lost Mbappe they also have good quality players so they don't have a problem competing in League 1, but what PSG is worried about is that when they have to compete in the Champions League, they haven't found the right players they have performance like Mbappe, they have to find him quickly before the season starts or they will fail again in the Champions League. Victor Oshimen is a player who has been strongly linked with PSG to replace Mbappe but it seems this player is not really interested in playing at PSG even though the club has made a high salary offer. Oshimen doesn't want his future to be wasted like Mbappe. He definitely also has dreams of winning the UCL title or other prestigious titles, being at PSG doesn't guarantee that apart from the domestic title.

By bringing in several new midfielders, this is one of Luis Enrique's strategies to help the attacking players be more aggressive because the PSG coach is aware that without Mbappe, the strongest club in League 1 must have the right alternative to be able to maintain performance even without star players.

Without Mbappé things are more difficult now , of course that doesn't mean that they can't continue being the best, just that now they have to work harder, make a new formation and be able to adapt to the new players to see how they approach the game, it should be noted that many Ligue 1 teams want to dethrone PSG and this is a fact, therefore they have to take much more care Because they win if they have them, I imagine that the other teams like Maserella, Lille, all will bet on going for that 1st place, they have a good chance, we'll see how Luis Enrique approaches it.

PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi have future plans for the club, he's doing everything within his power to ensure he gives his best and deliver excellent job for the club. Paris Saint-Germain have priorities to meet next season. Luis Enrique is a prominent coach and he's given good time to handled the club at his convenient radius. PSG have just one main trophy, the UEFA Champions League title becomes compulsory for Les Parisiens and they're doing everything for the big winnings.
