Nobody was talking about any disappointment regarding the performance of PSG, in fact it is quite the opposite mixed with a sense of sarcasm because what do we expect from PSG in Ligue 1?

This is the only reason why I would like a Super League. Otherwise I am against it, but to see which team comes out on top after maybe 20 games or so against all the top teams from Europe, it would be interesting. But seeing that PSG dominates Ligue 1, it's not really interesting.

I thought Nice would be able to break the jinx of PSG dominating Ligue One but they soon lost some points and ended up in the second position four points below PSG. I agree that the Super League would have been interesting because big football clubs will compete with each other. Most of these big teams have the money to buy quality players so we would have seen an exciting football league. PSG will continue to dominate the French League until other clubs can have access to the kind of money they have. Maybe if Saudi or Qatari investors take over another club in the Ligue One, they might build a club that will give PSG the needed competition.
IMO it will be very difficult to happen.
We know that Nice is one of the clubs that is quite good and even seems surprising this season, especially when they managed to play consistently in their first 10 matches, it's just that seeing the current conditions seems a little complicated.
Nice is slowly losing its productivity in scoring goals. In addition, in the last 3 matches they have run Nice can only score 1 goal with 1 loss, 1 draw and 1 win which is not very good if they really want them to end the dominance of PSG.
If in the end they still expect Nice to be able to compete then inevitably they have to improve this from now on because honestly at this time their performance could be getting worse.

I agree that Nice will not have that much chance to catch up, it looks like they are close enough, but by the end of the season that 4 point difference will be much higher.

PSG is always the best team here, and they do give up after a while and stop caring about the league so that's why it may end up closer than what people think, but last season it was only one point so they do not want to have something like that again and may have higher advantage. When you are leading the league with 10+ points to the second team, why would you care? And by the end if it is 5 points, and you already guaranteed that you will be the winner, you may just go up with youth team as well, you can lose all you care and it wouldn't matter.
The Ligue 1 race is still on, although PSG are the better team no doubt even though there are still teams that are trying so well to be competitive too. The trophy is likely to rest with PSG. They've got the better squad and intensity to win, at thesame time they've got the European trophy to go after and so their focus is on two goals. They're just 4 points clear from the second position Nice, who in their own best have been doing well in keeping up with games and gaining victories.

I won't say they actually lose a threat though because PSG seems potentially the leaders than any other team. Both teams strength can not be compared and they just have to keep playing and gaining the points they can whilst PSG win and go for the trophy. It's beautiful to see Nice have an eye on the trophy too and they've got a gleam of hope being that their focus is majored on just the domestic league, so there'd be no need to stress for two races again. We hope to see them meet up with PSG and even go ahead of them on the table but the odds are just in between.

I expected that lens would be leading by a goal or two by now but then it turns out that they are yet to get a goal and Thay have gotten pass the the 50th minute of the second half and neither team is yet to get a goal and most likely they would wan to end the game goalless just like they did ended the first half goalless.

Montpellier is a team I consider weak because earlier, they were at the bottom other league table, within the relegation zone but have recently gotten pass it but lens has since this season been in a considerably average form such that I expected they wouldn't be struggling much with Montpellier such that they would be appearing to draw a match with them. Montpellier in their last five matches were unable to win any and have hade a very few wins this season, this could mean most definitely they are not such a strong team.

Just remember how Monaco once led the standings but they slowly found it difficult to maintain their performance so they lost quite a lot of points and their decline gave an advantage to PSG who were slowly able to find their best game, especially when Kylian Mbappe was able to resolve his problem with the club owner which allowed him to return played and PSG started to get wins and their only defeat was against Nice and after that they always managed to produce points, and when Nice was also at the top of the standings they were also unable to maintain that, so it looks like PSG will remain comfortably at the top until the end of the season to defend their championship title again.
Ligue One is tough, everyone knows that. PSG will defend their title this season and it might likely end in Parc des Princes stadium once again. When an elite club have one of the best players, it boosts their chances of winning matches and competitive in major titles. Nice was ontop but lost their standings and now they're currently behind Paris Saint-Germain. I don't think they will be able to find any solid opportunity to surpassed Les Parisiens ever again this season, there's no prominent chances to top other than hoping for PSG to decline in performance this season.

PSG is always in the first place in the league because of the owner they have and the money they invest in this team otherwise all other teams in the French league are at the same level except for PSG. If you just compare PSG's budget with some other teams like Nice while Nice is racing with them you can see a huge difference between these two teams and that's the main reason for PSG to always be in the first place of the French league.

Of course it's not that easy to stop PSG's dominance in Ligue 1, but it can be possible. In the last 9 seasons, Monaco and Lille are the only two teams to break PSG's title dominance. Monaco won the Ligue 1 title in the 2016-2017 season, while Lille won it in the 2020-2021 season.

In my opinion, Nice, Monaco and Lille have the possibility to win the title if they can maintain their performance. PSG will never always win, they will definitely lose and lose some points. It's just that Nice, Monaco and Lille also couldn't maintain consistent performance so it wasn't PSG's fault for dominating but their own fault for failing to play well and consistently take advantage of opportunities. If any Arab conglomerate wants to invest in Ligue 1 again, then I think Monaco is a good choice. They are competitive and have a good history in Ligue 1 in the past.

Give Pep Guardiola time and he would go to a club like Marseille and show Paris Saint Germans how's it's done. The thing Pep Guardiola would want to manage a club that has funds to match the player's that meets his standards. Paris Saint Germans have the funds to get whenever player they want. The league ain't too competitive, infact they should be one of the best grooming players just like the German Bundesliga. That division has enough room for development for whatever young player that comes into the club.

A little bit of consistency and all these clubs will no longer see that back of parisians. The main goal every season should be to achieve the Champions League. There'll be no rest until it's achieved.

Lyon are going to look for a chance to take a deep breath against Toulouse this week. It is a home match but it doesn't matter much for Lyon though.

Winning this match would be really useful for Lyon considering that Toulouse are right above the relegation zone. But even against the teams having a similar level season to them I can't still be confident about Lyon to win at all. Sometimes they are really trying but there is a huge scoring problem. If they manage to increase the number of goals they score at least they can collect more points.

Although Toulouse is in the lower zone also in the current Ligue 1 standings but ya, at least Toulouse still has a better performance than Lyon at this moment. Because anyway, we also can't ignore the good results Toulouse has in the Europa League and in fact, Toulouse also managed to beat Liverpool there. So yes, because at this moment Toulouse also still has good results in the Europa League, it looks like Lyon still won't be easy to beat Toulouse in the next match. Because yes, it looks like Toulouse can play better when playing against seeded teams. So yes, although Toulouse is just above the relegation zone in the current Ligue 1 standings, but I believe there is no strong guarantee for Lyon to be able to beat Toulouse, but somehow I also expect Lyon to get points in this match.

No but I doubt that they have PSG or Nice on their minds when they have a stable rank in the middle of the table. I believe that they focus from game to game and then see what is possible for them when the end of the season is approaching. They will most likely not make any rushed predictions or contemplate season goals and communicate them when they know that it is not realistic as of now to reach out for one of the biggest goals. But if they want to make it into the qualification for some European competition, I think that they have all chances to do that. Nice could have a weak time and some other teams as well and then they need to be ready.
Every clubs tends to becomes ready to face their challenges this season. The European competition are for serious clubs that have the potentials to win matches without having to fight to win a spot. Seasons goals of these clubs have grown to become one of the ultimate targets, winning it without stressing out their plans or tactics. Paris Saint-Germain dominates the league table and they have a threat, a club that's ready to levelled points with them, Nice have become a close contender for the the Ligue One title this season.

No, I would bet a house on Nice having no chance against PSG over the course of 38 matches. Nice was efficient when it comes to results, but that is not sustainable when you score only one goal on average per game. It is all nice when it is enough to win most of the games in the early season, but for how long will it work that an average of one goal brings you the number of wins and draws, the number of total points to beat PSG after 38 games and win the title? Wink

Nice can definitely have no chance against a team like PSG to win the French League, however currently PSG and Nice are racing closely for the title and Nice is the only competitor they can have because currently Nicve has 29 points and PSG has 33 points which means they are not close enough to make troubles for PSG and in the other hand PSG with Enrique is getting in the good form. But still, there is the chance for the French League to change everything and PSG faces some problems to lose their current condition.

I am not against any scenario where we can see one team from Ligue 1 compete with PSG when there are like 6-7 games left of the season, but how likely is it really. It usually won't happen and if it does, it means that PSG must have failed so hard that the whole league wasn't fun at all. Either PSG is as good as they can and they win the league easily and make some trouble in the Champions League as well, or everything sucks. It's two bad options.

Nice's chances against PSG are somewhat doubtful. Though they trail by 29 points, PSG's lead and form under Enrique make them a difficult opponent. It's true that the French League is unpredictable and PSG may struggle, but it's PSG. Their depth and quality are league-leading. Nice has played well this season. Do they no longer represent the underdogs? Their consistency, despite losses, is astounding. Nice might gain if PSG slips. A big if, though. PSG seems too powerful with Enrique in charge. The match will be fascinating, but I don't expect a major shock

But this is the most boring guess someone can come up with Cheesy Of course PSG will win the league and if they don't it is nothing short of an embarrassment. So yes theoretically we have to say that it is like close to 100% sure because you can never know for certain, but Monaco and Nice are both not stable enough to compete with PSG over the course of a whole season. Everyone hoping for a new Ligue 1 title winner is doomed to be disappointed.
I'm not dissapointed with the current performance of PSG, all elite clubs faces struggles this season and some manage to survived and most of them couldn't survived. In essence, Paris Saint Germain are ontop, how can someone that knows and have watched football for long time predicts about PSG not withstanding long in the long competitive race to win the Ligue One title this season? Because I'm confused, Les Parisiens have everything in possession to win the league and these upcoming matches doesn't move them, Luis Enrique will make plans to win and obtained three points.

Montpellier vs Lens

Lens has starting this season with poor performance but fortunately they can able to bounce back and in Ligue 1 Lens has through an 9 matches without lose and from those matches they can collect 5 wins which is this make their position now at 8th place and today Lens will attempts to managed their unbeatable records from Montpellier and based on head to head statistics between them i can see Lens records has slightly good because from 5 meetings Lens can able to gets 3 wins
Lens will lost some players before this match because Deiver Machado still doubful to play and Florian Sotoca will not into the squad because of suspension but the good news is Elye Wahi will be return to play and my prediction for this match is Lens will be able to overcomes Montpellier and Lens win has good odds for this match @2.26
Tonight will be another lucky for Lens to continue their good trend, because although Lens in that game play as away but Lens are better rather than Montpellier. In my opinion, Lens has a high possibility of winning, especially Lens has not been defeated in the last five matches in league one. Meanwhile, Montpellier has not a good record in their last five matches in this league, I mean the Montpellier squad never won. Although Deiver Machado and Florian Sotoca are unavailable for tonight match, I personally believe Lens can win, and at odds @2.26 it seems like is worth to bet.
Lens are still in top form and there is no harm in betting on them winning. Moreover, Lens has a real target for this season to be able to get into the Champions League zone next season. Maybe they have experienced difficult times but they have been able to get through it all well and just continue with what they should be able to achieve.

Lens is only 4 points away from Lille and if they win it will certainly shorten the gap even further. On the other hand, I think Reims will also experience problems this week because they have to play Nice, who lost points last week. So there is no reason for Lens to win against Montpellier and this will be their first step in getting closer to the top 4 of the standings.

Lens seems stronger than Montpelier but from my observation I can see that Montpelier hasn't lost 2 consecutive match in a row for quite sometimes now so checking their previous match where they lost to Monaco might mean that they will actually want to keep that form of not losing 2 straight match so they may likely prove difficult to be defeated by Lens this evening but whichever way it is let's see how the match turns out tonight

It's likely PSG will be winning the title again. There's no club that can compete with PSG. The good early performance from monaco and nice gave me hope to see a new winner but it seems like that league 1 is just another bundesliga.
PSG is surely having biggest chance to win the competition again. In fact, PSG is moving up while its competitors were plunged again to the bottom. The performance from nice and monaco were different.

These clubs are always struggling against its opponent while PSG is now able making the gap to be even bigger. The chance owned by PSG is also becoming even bigger too.

I lost my hope since PSG was consistently winning the game in french league and UCL. PSG seems different from what it used to be. Easy bet for the upcoming game.
This season PSG has not been very consistent, but Luis Enrique squad is able to lead the standings and create a 4 point difference with their closest competitor Nice. We can imagine the competitive level of Ligue 1, and maybe that's why PSG always has difficulty when playing in competitions like the UCL, because in Ligue 1 they don't have significant pressure to win trophies at the end of the season. You could say, Ligue 1 is another Bundesliga, I agree with that. We can imagine in the future if PSG has a limited match schedule, with an early exit in the UCL. So I think no team in Ligue 1 will be able to shake PSG dominance, because Enrique and his squad will focus more on just one competition.

PSG's performance is now very consistent in Ligue 1. The PSG team won the last 5 matches. And that's why they are now in the top spot in the points table. However, the season began in PSG very badly. In the first several matches, they lost points. And the PSG team was away from the top spot for a long time. But with the help of Luis Enrique, this team is now in a very good position. Enrique has been able to stabilize the team. And in almost every match we can see the excellent performance from PSG. If this good performance continues, the PSG team will not face any problems with winning the Ligue 1 title this year.

Montpellier vs Lens
-snip-

In my opinion, you need to see the current League 1 standings. Lens is in 6th place with 6 wins and has collected 22 points, even though Lens is not as good as last season, this is normal because Lens has a match in the Champions League where they are fighting hard to qualify. to the round of 16 if in the end they don't qualify Lens still has the opportunity to play in the European League.
Indeed, initially Lens was not able to stabilize the composition of the players' performance but now it seems like Lens is already in high self-confidence even though playing in the biggest competition in Europe doesn't break Lens spirit to continue to perform well in the domestic league, recently Lens has been on a winning trend. I think Lens will win the match again against Montpellier.

Montpellier just won 13 points and ranked 13th very modestly. Montpellier's strikers are alarming. Since the beginning of the season, Montpellier has played 7 matches at home and only won 1, lost 2, and drew 4. Lens is showing excellent form in Ligue 1 this season. They have been unbeaten in 9 consecutive matches. Montpellier is not Lens' opponent, as they have only won one head-to-head game from 2021 until now. Combined with Lens' high performance in the domestic tournament, the host's chances of winning points are meager. The pressure on the home team is enormous. Lens must also maintain a ranking in the group with tickets to the European Cup with victories.

Both teams showed their determination before the clash and promised a dramatic match. But I will bet on the underdog anyway.

I do not think Lens is actually going to lose in this match. Even though the performance has not been as people probably have expected from them, they have certainly performed a lot better compared to their opponent Montpellier.  If I am not wrong, Montpelier does not have a single win in the last five matches. They have three losses and two draws in the last five. That is definitely not a good indication. That is also not going to give them any confidence going to the next match. In my opinion, Lens is going to win this match and the real question is the goal difference.

In domestic league, PSG performance not consistent but helped with the competitor teams have the same inconsistency performance and PSG keep manage the first standings place, difference position in  Champion League with PSG not secure yet for qualifying to 16 round. PSG have 1 loss, 3 draw and 10 win of 14 matches but current standings remaining 5 points left from Nice on 2nd standings position. PSG have loss 9 points of maximum achievement 43 points from 14 matches but many teams can get advantage with inconsistency performance from PSG keep pressure on top standings behind fewest points left.

I doubt any Ligue 1 team can sack PSG dominance in Ligue 1 not only how to win against PSG but also many of competitor teams such as Nice, AS Monaco, Lille and Marseille still have inconsistency performance.

statistics will certainly favor Lens. but Lens also has to be alert because Montpellier also held Nice to a draw, which in quality I think is not much different from Lens.
Lens got not so good results in the Champions League. because competition with other strong European teams is very tough for Lens. and they are trying to improve their quality in Ligue 1 where Lens currently needs quite a lot of points left behind.

Lens, started playing its matches in Ligue 1 by starting to get back on the right track. In their last 9 matches in this competition, Frack Haise's squad advanced without defeat. 6 matches with a win, 4 matches ended in a draw. This condition has put Frack Haise's squad in 6th place in the Ligue 1 standings. Unfortunately, their performance doesn't look too good in the Champions League. In their 5 matches, Lens was only able to win 1 match.

Talking about Montpellier, this team is ranked 14th in the Ligue 1 standings. In the 5 matches they have played so far, they have not won a single win. two draws, and three matches with defeats. So, it would be very natural if Lens were superior in this match. Talking about the condition of the players, I'm not too familiar with these two teams. but what is certain is that both of them have injured players.
considering that Lens will play a match in the Champions League group phase, Frack Haise's squad will not play too hard in this match. Compared to the home team, they will do it by going all out to end the match to win. Well, I think Montpellier has a chance to win this match. especially since their odds are @3.50, which is quite tempting. while Lens, with @2.12. however, it seems a safer bet for the handicap or Under option. My estimate is that this match will not produce many goals. So under 2.5 goals, is a pretty ideal option with @1.79. Well, let's wait for the final result.

Montpellier are winless in their last five league games and have collected just two points. Additionally, scoring has been a challenge for Montpellier, scoring just twice from penalty kicks in their last five league matches. Meanwhile, Lens are performing well, with three straight wins in Ligue 1. Considering Lens' strong form and Montpellier's struggles, it's likely that Lens will secure a win. I think Lens will win 2-1 with Montpellier.

I lost my hope since PSG was consistently winning the game in french league and UCL. PSG seems different from what it used to be. Easy bet for the upcoming game.
