It's really amazing how a club like Olympic Lyon is rocking the bottom of the table at the relegation zone, I mean Olympic Lyon have been of great impact to France ligue 1 over the years. Players like Michael Essien was groomed in Olympic Lyon before joining Chelsea where he recorded huge success, how about Karim Benzima he was also brought up in Olympic Lyon before he joined Real Madrid and achieved a great result. But do you really think the players have a button that they can push so they instantly focus less on the Champions League, just let it go and lose there in order to more focus on the domestic league? Isn't that nonsense in your opinion? Players give everything they have for a whole year, celebrate that they managed to qualify for the Champions League and then you think they sit together with the coach and say: let's dump the Champions League and play at 70% so we can give more of our energy for Ligue 1? 
Definitely that's not the case, no one would want to at any point think such because I think every football lover would definitely know that there's a dynamics to these things and it's not about the players been told or controlled to focus more on one league as against the other,it's basically tactics at times.But some times based on priority, coaches may sometimes try out certain tactics in some of the leagues and wouldn't use same in the others, like the champions league which happens to be very competitive and it's amongst teams drawn from different leagues, definitely the approach will differ from that which will be used in their domestic leagues because there's a pattern that varies across different leagues and that's why sometimes it will look as if focus was redirected.
Yes but imagine you are the coach of Lens and you have this once in a lifetime chance, not only the players, but also the coach, to play agains the best teams in the world and then achieve the biggest dream ever and advance into the next round of the Champions League. That internal conflict that they have must be solved, maybe a new owner would be a lot better, it would make sense for the club because we are talking about someone who could takeover the club and spend money and hire the right people. I do not know who owns it right now, but it's obvious that they are not doing a good job at it and they should be avoiding that owner as much as possible.

Lyon might have secured their 1st win this season in their last match against Rennes but it's not enough cause they're still at the very bottom of the league, however they're lucky that the league is not yet close to it's late stages if not they won't have missed being relegated, but I think there's still hope for them to get better this season, well with the way they've performed so far, one would be right to say that a new ownership of the club should be considered, to save the club from failing and strengthening them financially during the January window to help them sign new players and get out of the relegation zone. It seems that Lyon's hopes of getting out of the relegation zone will be very difficult, if they are not able to improve the quality of their game, Lyon played quite well last season, they even managed to stop in 7th position, but this season they failed to maintain the consistency of their performance.
It can't be a benchmark because in the end winning with superior numbers of players will only be considered as a fairness in this case but at least with the 3 points they managed to get in the match against Rennes last week this can improve their spirit which is quite bleak because they never get a victory in the first 10 matches they do. Facing Lille this could be a very tough test again but they have good momentum so don't let momentum like this be damaged again with a defeat so as much as possible they should try to make this a point even if they can't make 3 points if it's too difficult but they have to force a draw so that their performance does not decline again after gaining momentum.

I don't think Lyon can beat Lille in such condition. I mean they had huge difficulties in doing that even while they were having a better season previously. Lille were the better playing side in that game but Lyon still won by 1-0 home. But now the situation is really worrisome for Lyon. That win over Rennes wasn't even easy one.
