I understand PSG's mentality. The aim is big names, huge wins. However, relying on a few superstars is risky. Huge risk. Spends a fortune, and no trophies? Disaster. Absolute disaster. Mbappe, a terrific player, shows that Champions League pressure can break anyone.

Believe me, this play is smarter: Create your own talent. Slow, but builds a stronger foundation. You avoid outrageous transfer fees and inflated salaries and get players who compete for the shirt, not just the salary. Mixing one or two major stars with local talent? The mixture is potent. PSG needs competitiveness and sustainability to win. Much smarter than their current plan.

That should be the case and they should be able to learn from Manchester City to build a team not in an instant way by recruiting lots of star players, PSG failed last season when they implemented this.

And I also see that they have not developed or have not been able to achieve achievements on the European stage because PSG does not have fierce domestic competition so this team cannot compare in strength to be able to rise even better.
As we have seen in the last few seasons in League 1, no competitor has put pressure on PSG in the title race.
To manage a team well, the first thing you need is a good manager. PSG managed to hire a good manager last season. A number of players have been sold from PSG after a skilled manager took charge of PSG. Basically the club sold all the players who had problems and were unhappy with their performance. With Neymar sold and Lionel Messi gone, we wondered how a team that didn't do well despite having such a big star would do well with only Mbappe. But at this point we understand that the manager was right in his decision. In addition to dominating Ligue 1, PSG qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League where they exited the Super Sixteen last season with the world's best stars. I expect PSG to do well in the quarter finals but kudos to PSG for the progress they have made with this team.

If you want to do well in a competitive league like the Champions League, you definitely need an experienced coach. I would say that if the coach is not experienced, even if they brings all the star players of the world in the same squad, they will not get the expected good performance.

If Luis Enrique had coached PSG 2 more seasons ago, I think he would have led PSG to the Champions League title. He had talented and experienced players like Messi, Mbappe and Neymar in the squad. PSG's squad this season is not strong enough. Even so, PSG's performance on the Champions League platform is quite good. It is expected that the PSG team can also qualify for the semi-finals. Because Barcelona's performance is somewhat erratic now.
It is very important for any club to hire a quality manager before recruiting quality players. If a club fails to hire a good quality manager, they will fail to properly implement the player as well as buy the player. Luis Enrique has left Barcelona for a long time. If PSG had signed Luis Enrique at that time, PSG could have reached the Champions League final for another season, but they didn't. When all the players left PSG, PSG handed over the manager's job to Luis Enrique. Despite the current situation of PSG, this successful manager is able to bring good results with this team. Luis Enrique did not have much time to organize the team after taking charge of PSG, we can expect Luis Enrique to organize his team nicely next season.

A very good improvement for Lyon. I didn't expect that entering the end of the season, Lyon would be able to provide rapid improvement even though Lyon was already quite far behind the clubs in the top 10. But Lyon is still trying hard to perform as well as possible and learn from previous mistakes, not to continue continuously experiencing defeats which caused them to be relegated from League 1, they didn't just give up and the current Lyon coach provided good motivation to revive Lyon's enthusiasm this season.

Pierre Sage seems to have saved Lyon from its downturn this season. Lyon was lucky not to be late in recruiting a coach in the middle of the season to improve its performance and now Pierre Sage is really giving a good performance to the club he coaches, even though it hasn't completely improved, but at least Lyon's position in League 1 is getting better safe by being in the middle of the standings.

Yes, it is possible that Lyon can finish in the top 10 position because the difference in points with the clubs above them is not too far and Lyon has also shown consistency recently if Lyon continues to maintain this winning record then Lyon can achieve this. I believe that Lyon is not a club that can be beaten underestimate even though at the start of the season they were in the relegation zone.
Lyon are one of the major teams to look out for in the Ligue 1 and though their season didn’t begin on a very excellent note just like their big counterparts, they were able to survive relegation this season in the league. And yes that is a characteristic of a club that’s gone through reviving process. This is the quality of a big club they didn’t just survive relegation but they also surpassed our imaginations and are now in the 10th place on the log. They really improved on how they play especially after the board took a decision to let the coach go and hire a new coach who cane and changed the mindset of these players.

The numbers they have had this season in terms of win ratio though it’s average but you can tell that they’ve had a massive form of improvement as compared to how poorly they started the season. Yes this goes to show that the new coach is really doing his job and as such you can have high hopes for them next season. The mentality of the players changed and they had a better philosophy and are now chasing on for better things and sincerely next season, I expect them to be able to achieve something especially with how they managed to rise above the bad results this season.

Other clubs should take a cue from this Lyon’s story and not be afraid if changing a coach who’s not effective as that could be the major issue and they should endeavor to hire a new coach with a better philosophy as that could help and revive the team. The confidence of this Lyon team is high and they’re now seen as a team that could be feared and yes I’m sure they’ll finish above 10th place this season with over 9 matches to go. But to make that possible, hard work is needed plus good team spirit.

Zero pressure for Paris Saint-Germain because they've proven to be the top and ever ready to take on fierce opposition without frightening faces. Luis Enrique and his squad will lead their path to winning the France Ligue One title this season, which is their secondary target, their main primary target is winning the UEFA champions league title, it won't be an easy run for Les Parisiens because there's presence of other fierce elite teams and this is no domestic league where one particular strong team will continue to dominate, things changed for the better.
Leaving the rival team so far away makes PSG will now be so free to celebrate their championship, and it even looks like we will see only a few more games to win before PSG can get the championship trophy later, currently PSG's closest competitor is only Brest and even then they are 12 points apart so now Brest needs 7 consecutive wins and hopes that 6 consecutive defeats occur to PSG so that they can thwart PSG's plans to win the season Ini.

I also think that Ligue 1 is not a trophy that is difficult for PSG to achieve with their star squad, and even in the next few seasons PSG will still be able to dominate Ligue 1 without any resistance from their rival teams, yes the only main target for PSG at the moment is to win the Champions League trophy,  Because after all, the Champions League trophy is the most prestigious trophy at the moment for the top teams of the Europa League, so by winning the Champions League, of course, it will make the PSG club's prestige will increase in the future and of course they will be respected by European teams.

It's been a norm for PSG almost every season to be under zero pressure whenever it happens to be with the Ligue 1 they have usually have little to no reason to be under pressure because most of the teams in the Ligue 1 are not good enough to really compete with them and still be able to get ahead of them in the league but tho they at a point lost the trophy to another team one of the season but they are sure not letting it happen again.

PSG if they happen to lose mbappe which is almost very certificate by next season, they are really going to suffer some kind of set backs in that for a while the psychology of the team will be affected until they will be able to recover and be able to fix the team yet again but then they would be trying to make sure they maintain their dominance but then they will be struggling with it but then if they could get a better replacement it wouldn't be long they will be able to make up for it but then next season isn't going to be business as usual for PSG as they will have to sit up to the task if they must be able to win the trophy again as they usually do.

Although it looks like the team isn't totally dependent on mbappe but then to a very grate extent, his presence has got a whole lot it does to the team and their confidence is usually at the top whenever they have got him playing for.the team and that's why I said they are going to suffer some set back after his exit and the team may not be same as before but they are going to still try their best anyways to make sure they still be amongst the top teams.

Yes, of course Lyon is able to survive in league 1 and since the start of the season when Lyon experienced a decline in performance I still believe this club is one of the popular clubs that will continue to maintain its reputation even though it often experiences a decline in performance without any definite clarity but still when it comes to the end of the season Lyon will start to rise to get a safe position in league 1.
Currently, Lyon has succeeded in occupying a top 10 position and I am sure that after this season's matches end, it is very likely that Lyon will finish in 7th or 9th position in the points table.

It's hard for other club to catch it. The statistic showed by PSG says 12 points = 4 matches and 8 match remaining.

There are only a few matches against some strong teams but the match against mediocre teams dominated the remaining fixtures of PSG.

The matche that i bet for PSG to win the games are

PSG vs clermont
PSG vs lyon
PSG vs lorient
PSG vs havre
PSG vs toulouse
PSG vs metz

That's only two matches remaining which were giving PSG tough opponents. It's hard to imagine PSG will be missing a lot of points in a row. Theoritically, PSG has won it. Betting on PSG win is still good even though it's giving small odds

Let's say this season is one of their best season outside Ligue 1 but I believe they're not that good, this guys are only good at bullying there way through to get the title in the Ligue 1, but going out to do the same to other bigger club in the UEFA champions league you see them acting like kitten while in the Ligue 1 they're the Lion above all.
I'm disappointed to see the PSG side dominating in the french league more than the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, any season they don't get to at least the semi finals or luckily the finals of the UCL but are champions of the Ligue 1 I feel they haven't achieved anything in that season. If they fail to get something new then they're not suppose to be a bigger side in EUROPE as a whole.

There is still an opportunity for Lyon to be in a better position than the position they are in now, but it is certainly not an easy thing for them to do, because Reims themselves will definitely try to maintain their position in 9th place in the standings.
They will face each other in the next match, so their opportunity to close the gap with Reims is very open, as long as they can win this match. Lyon will play as hosts, which is an advantage for them in a very decisive match like this. However, Reims certainly didn't come to taste defeat, they came with a mission to win even though they will be playing as a visiting team. And maybe this match will end in a draw.
Well I don't know of the opportunity you are speaking about for Lyon because they are currently at the tenth position with 34 points so I don't know the magic they will be able to do to get to secure a spot at the champions league except they are going to hope to qualify for the Europa then they can actually work towards achieving that but then it's definitely going to be a tedious task for them because they are not in a good position currently.

Reims isn't a really tough team and I'm very optimistic Lyon been able to defeat them especially with the fact that Lyon will be playing from home, it's a very big Advantage for them already a d if not they they have got some kind of inconsistency a d are able to mostly play well at home, then I can be sure they will be able to win their game especially with the fact they they will be playing from home and not their opponent at home but regardless they have still got the better chance against their opponent in this fixture and if they get to win, they will be able to be sure to get to the next  position on the table.

Reims according to their H2H has always alternate winning with Lyon and they are currently ahead of Lyon by just a few points and I know they will not want Lyon to get ahead of them but then they will have to make sure to fix their resistance against Lyon because Lyon is very determined to making sure they get the three points from this game or probably they get to share the points but Reims isn't opting for a loss.

I no longer consider Paris Saint-Germain as potential winners for the UEFA Champions League title because when it was their moment, they screwed things up and end up on the losing side. However it's good to blame PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi for signing potential big names that have no absolute control with the progress of the team, rather they played their personal style of football and lacks the chemistry to push for greater winning. PSG will struggle when their most outstanding player finally exits the door this summer, Kylian Mbappe will leave without a second thought

It would be a brave statement to not consider PSG for the Champions League title from now on. They can still create a solution to this if they take the right steps. They can spend their money in a more sensible way to build a much stronger team. They have signed skilled young players recently but I doubt they can achieve this title with the current squad.  Sad

Especially when Mbappe leaves this team will be much weaker. He is keeping this team on feet with his big contribution of goals. The chairman has all the money he can use to transfer big names. He should focus on that in the next transfer window.

It is not true to say that Paris Saint-Germain can never win the Champions League. But they couldn't do it when Messi, Neymar and Mbappe played together for Paris Saint-Germain. How can they do it today without them? It's impossible to put such a squad together again. Of course, I wouldn't say that they will never win the Champions League, but we have to accept that their chances are lower now.

You wrong. As far as I know and I can see in the past achievements of PSG, they never won the Champions League before.
However, they won the French League many times.
PSG spent too much money every year to achieve achievements but they always failed to get something and even after hiring players like Neymar and Messi they could win the title and failed in the last season. Now with a more balanced team, they have thanks to Enrique, they want to try to win the title for the next time.

For Lyon to finish in the top 9 i think it will be very difficult because they are still 4 points different from Reims who are currently in 9th position, finishing in the current position i think is still quite good for Lyon.  Lyon will face Reims, in this match Lyon will be the host, i'm curious whether Sage will use a 4-3-3 formation again like when they faced Toulouse.
Nothing is impossible, mate, although there is also nothing easy about this because there are still several games remaining this season and this still opens up opportunities for Lyon to reduce their points gap with Reims when they meet in the next match in League 1 this season. I think it is still possible for Lyon to aim for 9th position in the League 1 standings this season if they can win against Reims in the upcoming match. In addition, Lyon only hopes that Reims will lose another match and they themselves must continue to win in the remaining matches this season.

Lyon progress in 2024 is really fantastic under new manager because from 9 latest matches in Ligue 1 Lyon can able to gets 6 wins and those winning results even they got from tough teams such as Nice and Marseille and this makes Lyon position on league table was lifted up rapidly because from relegation zone Lyon currently can able to occupy 10th place and with 9 difference points above to Rennes obviously Lyon will be stayed at Ligue 1 but the league still have 8 matches remaining before season ended and if Lyon can able to managed their consistency in the next 8 matches i think they have possibility will finish at the better position

About the match against Reims actually this also hard match for Lyon because as mediocre team in Ligue 1 i think Reims performance also quite consistent and Lyon actually the favourite but Reims also cannot be underestimate because during playing for away matches Reims sometimes can able to performing well and Reims even can beat Lille and Monaco from away matches so Lyon have to beware of these records because Reims potentially can makes Lyon gets in trouble and actually i want to see Lyon win this match especially Lyon will playing in the front of their fans so let see it later whether Lyon can able to resumes their winning streak or Reims who can able to stole points from this match

Yes, if I'm not mistaken, he's been a good player for Monaco, before at PSG. After PSG he developed amazingly. But we see at the moment he is still in one league, meaning there is not too much adaptation to the style of play. While there is no evidence yet for Mbappe if he goes out of the league. For example next season he goes to Madrid, I don't feel he can adapt immediately. But it is a great hope that they will always be able to play well with a new club.
I personally think you got it all wrong when you said that you're not sure that Kylian Mbappe will adapt quickly when he joins Real Madrid next summer because for a player to have the kind of football qualities Kylian Mbappe posseses, adapting and delivering great performances whenever he joins a new club shouldn't be a big deal to such player. Kylian Mbappe is a very pacey, energetic and skillful forward player that can play from the flank and also as a center forward and considering the quality of players at Real Madrid as well as the club's style of play, I'm of the opinion that Kylian Mbappe will definitely star at the club when he joins them next season.
We're yet to see any news from either Real Madrid or Kylian Mbappe confirming that he'll join them after the end of the current season but judging by reports we've read about the future of the player, it's obvious that he's going to join them in the summer and I expect him to deliver great football when he joins them

Brest will visit Lorient's headquarters this week, they need a win to maintain their position in 2nd place in the standings. Lorient also really need a win so that they don't fall into the relegation zone, because they only have 1 point difference from Nantes who are in the play off zone and only have 3 points difference from the relegation zone, if they lose this match, then they will be in bad situation for the future.

Brest's opportunities in this match are quite open, because in any case they are superior and it would be a shame if they had to fail in this match. They must be able to make the best use of this opportunity, with the advantages they currently have, on paper they should be able to win. It is very difficult for them to become champions this season, so they have to maintain their position as best as possible in 2nd place in the standings to be in the Chmapions League next season. At least they must be able to secure their position to win Champions League tickets.

If we actually forget about PSG, I think the league is actually pretty competitive. And you can look at the table and make that assumption. Because I do not think it is going to be wrong. Almost all of the teams are fighting with each other and there is very little difference in terms of points. But the only team that is leading everyone else by a good amount of points is PSG. And this is the reason why they are never ready to perform well in the Champions League competition.  because they do not have any competition in the domestic league. So every season they get to win the Ligue 1 title very easily. But that ends up damaging them a lot. It is hard to be on easy mode the whole season and perform well when you are facing big opponents.
Every season we see PSG leave their rivals with double-digit points gaps, so without waiting for the season to end actually PSG have claimed their championship trophy and even without much pressure from other teams in Ligue 1, like this season, PSG just waiting a few more games to celebrate the Ligue 1 championship?
There are only two solutions for Ligue 1 to be as competitive as other leagues in Europe, first, of course Ligue 1 must release PSG from the competition so that the other 17 teams in Ligue 1 can have a balanced strength between clubs, second, of course we need some big investors to want to invest in Ligue 1 teams other than PSG so that some other teams also have strength financially to be PSG's challenger in the ligue.

I think, by having and against a weak team in Ligue 1 only makes PSG the ruler in Ligue 1, but precisely the mentality possessed by PSG in European competitions especially the Champions League is very soft, and even they will not be able to beat strong teams who do have a strong mentality in the Champions League, at the moment I think there is no more competition in Ligue for the championship and the main focus of teams other than PSG in Ligue 1 as far as This is just to get a ticket to the europa competition next season.

So yes, with the success of Lyon who was able to rise and managed to improve his position from the relegation zone to be in the middle of the standings as now, then of  course Lyon will completely avoidrelegation. It doesn't matter what kind of opponent will be Lyon's next opponent until the season ends because anyway, eventhough Lyon plays againts a team that is in the topfive as well, but the fact is that Lyon is stillable to provide good resistance. Therefore, it is clear that Lyon willremain in Ligue 1 and will not be relegated because Lyon is able to maintain its position in a better position in the Ligue 1 standings.

You make a great point about Lyon. I'll be honest, beginning of the season? I wrote them off. Thought they were dead in the water, relegation battle for sure. But look at them now! This new coach, Pierre Sage, he's the real deal. Brought some serious energy to the team. Smart move. Now, they're a top 10 team? Unbelievable turnaround. See, this is why I admire strong leadership.

Seventh to ninth place is a realistic goal now. Europe this season? Probably too big a jump. But the point is, they're back! Bouncing back from the bottom like that, that takes character. Beating big teams like Monaco, Marseille is not easy. They're telling the league, "Hey, Lyon is still a force". This kind of momentum builds something special. They keep this up, and Europe next season? You never know. Thats the power of a winning mindset.

Lyon managed to recover so that they can slowly distance themselves from the relegation zone this season. At the start of the season they were very disappointing, and fortunately the management was able to move quickly to appoint a new coach who would be able to bring fresh air to Lyon, and they succeeded in doing that.

Indeed the coach has really revive the club because they are now far from the relegation zone, actually I most say that it didn't take Lyon too long to start improving because there last nine matches has been a quite success for them because they were able to win seven matches lose one and draw one, which is awesome because if they had putting in this effort they have now on most of there previous matches they would have even gone more higher than this on there table, although I'm happy for them that they are beginning to improve a lot, so actually from there performance now shows that there previous coach was actually the reason why they were playing that poor because his method was not working for the club, so imagine if he was still there coach till now they wouldn't have gone this far on the table maybe probably they would have been on the relegation zone by now, so I really commended on the management decision to hire another coach because that was the reason why Lyon has gone this far now.
