As I said before, this is the first time in my life that someone who is not even a native speaker would use the word "survive" to talk about contracts in football or something. This is weird! Many people confuse words, that's correct because it isn't their native language. But how someone can use the term survive is beyond me. I have no idea what "survive" then means in your native language if you use a standard translator, but for me survive can be applied in quite a lot of circumstances, but not contract duration unless there is a very specific setup to be described with this word.

Anyways, let's close this back and forth as I am not sure you understood why that word would really never be used in that context. It isn't just a little bit wrong, it is so confusing that you are literally opening up an entirely different topic. "I don't know whether Mbappe will survive next season". what I observe at the moment is that Lyon is most likely still escaping the relegation zone and I have a strong reason to say this because I compared several teams that are in the relegation zone, only Lyon is still having a good performance as you said, getting 3 consecutive wins. is a sign that this team still has hope of surviving in League 1.

PSG is usually very liberal or better say free with their way and pattern of buying players unlike other team who may probably due to limited resources don't go into buying players just so quick but the the importance of new players who can help the team achieve more by the end of the season is something we can't put out just like that.

PSG's strength today has got a lot to do with their financial capacity as their president is really investing so much into the team in order to make sure that the team achieve that which has been their desire the most especially as it has to do with the winnings of the UCL trophy by the end of one of the season which I think if they put in place what's very much needed of them, achieving such height is something they can do soonest but then they will need More than just buying of players to enable them get to the height they desire the most .
