Ronaldo at is age is a useful player mentally and physically to his environments and all over the world.  Benzema can also be that player it is not clear that not all player who move to Saudi Arabia will successfully make a good name after leaving European football.  Headed for his boyhood club will definitely be a dream come for karim benzema.

It seems like why Lyon is favored against Rennes even though Rennes has a better ranking in the standings and the point difference between the two teams is quite far, namely six points, it's just a home factor because in terms of performance Rennes is better this season than Lyon, but Rennes' away game is quite bad because they only won once in eight away matches, and my prediction is that this will be a match that has a high chance of ending in a draw because Lyon will also find it difficult to get 3 points because they are quite bad at scoring goals, and if they can win it is likely to only be by one goal.

Even though the two clubs had previously met and Lyon was able to beat Rennes, for me Lyon's victory was like luck because in less than 10 minutes the Rennes defender got a red card so Lyon's opportunity to score was a little easier and in fact Lyon was only able to score 1 score.

Yes you are right, this season is going very bad for Lyon, the performance of Lyon in this season of League One is not to be found, they are now the 16th team in the league table. Lyon lost 3-1 to Le Harve in the last match. Today's match with Stade Rennais could be very difficult for Lyon as Stade Rennais are in great form. Stade Rennais won last match with Nice 2-0. Lyon is one of the worst team on this league season because they are not really making any good impact on this season but instead they are moving from bad to worst, perhaps the club should endeavour to work on the team during the transfer window so that they will be able to come back next season with an encouraging performance  but although if they continue this way they may likely go to relegation this season.

It's not true. Benzema was still useful as long as there would be a team who trust him. He has moved to the saudi pro league caused by he was willing to play and enjoy his life but things are not going well since he has got so many burden there.
Benzema needs to leave from the club in short term and lyon was in talk with ittihad to bring him back to the french league. The problem if there are some big clubs from EPL interested to recruit him as well. The chance of him to play in lyon was quite small caused by this.

Chelsea and arsenal were also in talks with benzema's agent but no final decision has made by him while we are also getting even closer to the end of season. I hope benzema will be making his final decision.

It's disgusting how Benzema behaves as a human being in many areas of life. He is full of disrespect for so many things in life and now that he tried to tune his financial situation, it turned out that he isn't good enough to support Al-Ittihad. But what is even worse is that Manchester United was considering a transfer, but thankfully they refused it since they said the 50 million salary is not acceptable. 50 million, and now he is jumping ship in Saudi Arabia. I think a player like him shouldn't be given another chance, but I guess he will find some place to still play, although not for 50 million a year. I'm yet to access a news that is capable of explaining the main reason behind the recent uncertainties between Karim Benzema and his Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad but what ever might be the issue of debate, I don't think it was a good move for Karim Benzema to leave the club this winter transfer window. He was signed to the club to help them stay competitive enough to challenge teams like Al Hilal and Al Nassr but he's actually failed to do that.

Leaving Al Ittihad this transfer window and going to Lyon might end up as the worst decision for the former five-time winner of the UEFA Champions League trophy and a one time Balon D'or winner because Lyon are very likely to finish season in the relegation zone of the French league table.

Rennes can be be seen as having almost same strength as Lyon as Rennes has in their last five games wom three and lost two just like Lyon who won two lost two and drew one, so going by that results it could be perceived that Lyon is even a bit stronger than Rennes but they they are far apart on the table.

A win or draw will get Lyon out of the temporary relegation zone this season as they are just a point away from getting out of the relegation zone on the table. The arrival of benzema can actually do a lot for Lyon especially helping them getting out of relegation this season with every good form a d been sure not to go below to the relegation again. I will love to see benzema at Lyon and hope to help them become a better team in the Ligue 1 and possibly help them be amongst top four team in the league even if not this season.

There are two different opinions, Benzema is no longer useful because of his age. But there's also the opinion that if Benzema is still good he's just in the wrong team, because he can still be a good example for young players. Al Ittihad doesn't have good support for Benzema on the pitch either. So that he cannot be maximized. His stats aren't bad though. So if he goes to Lyon maybe he will be the solution or the problem is still difficult to know. When he was in Madrid he was in different conditions, so the best thing is the support of teammates and coaches.

The presence of players coming from European leagues helped Saudi teams a lot and made the league very attractive. In the Al-Ittihad case, the situation went the opposite since their rivals grow at the time they didn't improve and with the coach being sacked and tensions getting worse between the club and Benzema, it seems that they will get separate ways by the end of this winter transfer window. The only problem is which team could afford to take Benzema! I heard Manchester United refused to count on him since they couldn't afford him. I didn't see anything new about him and PSG or even Ligue 1 in general. There is talks about Carlo Ancelotti asking Real Madrid to take him back as a loan until the end of the season. There is Arsenal and Chelsea that might be interesting in adding him to their squad but as usual it remains just rumours that needs to be confirmed.

New signings and putting the team in a dilemma of evicting and retaining one out of two options. When the situation happened with Ronaldo, it was said that it's cos of his influence, money and capacity. Now it's Benzema's turn, what will be said. For me I'd blame Saudi league because the teams are trying all their possible best to be recognized. Al-Nassr before Ronaldo joined weren't heard about. All of a sudden, they're talked about occasionally. It's rumoured that the league wants to secure a spot in the UEFA champions league and they shouldn't be blamed for doing all it takes to make meaning.

 They'd rather do away with those that doesn't really matter and retain those that actually do matter. It's kind of life's lifestyle. No doubt every team there, if in that situation will do the same as Al Nassr had done or even worse. It's all for a purpose, I don't know but likely in the coming months, we should expect to see more of these occurrences.

There is no confirmation of the Benzema rumors so far, or I am the one who missed the latest information. however, I agree that even without Benzema, Lyon should be able to bounce back. at least for this season, they are safe from the relegation zone. next summer, if Lyon remains safe in Ligue 1. they can make big changes, evaluate them and then build a new, even better squad. apart from that, bringing in Benzema will definitely require large funds. and, there is no guarantee that Benzema will be able to lift Lyon and immediately perform better. this is a difficult phase for Lyon, where they must be able to survive, especially since Lyon is one of the big name clubs in Ligie 1.

In fact, Lyon's performance has started to improve in its last five matches. they experienced two matches with defeats and three matches with wins. even though the promotion team lost in the last match, Lyon won the last two matches in the Copa de Prance. So, it could be said that Lyon performed quite well in 6 matches in various competitions. 5 wins one loss. currently what Lyon needs is high motivation and enthusiasm that they will be able to get through this phase. this week, Lyon will host a match against Rennes. they must achieve 3 points playing at home, in order to restore the team's enthusiasm for the matches they will play next. As for Bemzema, I actually haven't received any new news regarding this player.

I think that's not a bad idea and he knew it was a good decision and that is why he went there. But sometimes, you can't just expect to hit 100% correct move, and what you think was a good idea, could turn out to be not a great idea. He just disliked the situation there, it could happen, it is not really that much of a shocker, it can happen.

Lyon getting Benzema wouldn't really be a bad idea, not that I think it would be possible, the amount of money it would take to get him there would be too high and Lyon doesn't have that kind of money, not only the team should be letting him go, but at the same time we are talking about Benzema asking for very little. I think the team will not let him go, so Lyon can't really afford him at the moment.

Lyon lost to Le Havre last week. And this makes them still in the relegation zone and that will be very dangerous for Lyon. I can't say enough about their performance and quality that they won't be relegated at the end of the season. I think as long as they are still in the relegation zone then I can't say they will return to positive performance and improve the ranking. The next match is against Rennes and if they win then they will be out of the relegation zone temporarily.

this is not just Lyon's financial problem. If Lyon's current position in the standings is at least in the top 5. There is still a possibility that Benzema could consider coming to the team. regardless of the team's financial ability to bring in Benzema. Moreover, the Saudi club did not pay Benzema an easy price.
Lyon this season can focus on developing the team's game. At least they must be able to climb to the top 10 of the standings. if it's too difficult, at least they can try not to be relegated next season.
