It seems like Lyon's recent struggles might pose a serious threat to their standing in the league. ⁤⁤Every loss makes it increasingly difficult to climb out of the relegation zone, and the gap created by setbacks can be hard to overcome. ⁤⁤Confidence and mentality are indeed crucial factors, and the contrast between Lyon's recent three consecutive wins and their current form is surprising. ⁤⁤Rennes seems to be on an upward trajectory with a commendable position in the table and a string of positive results. ⁤

Lyon need to regroup stronger, analyze their recent performances, and identify areas for improvement. ⁤⁤They need a morale booster to stay maintaining good form, not just two or three wins to have setback again. ⁤⁤They might still have a chance to turn the season around with the right adjustments and a renewed focus. ⁤⁤Time is of the essence, and each upcoming game will be pivotal in determining their chance to stay in Ligue 1. ⁤

Lyons returned with results that were not satisfactory at all, falling 2-3 to Rennes meaning that his ranking did not move into the safe zone. But I won't speculate too much if they will be degraded this season. After all, they still have at least 18 more matches to play until the end of this season. In this match, Lyon suffered defeat and even Rennes was able to score three goals in the first half. However, Lyon was slowly able to reduce their losses and this match ended with a score of 2-3. Even though they lost, it wasn't too bad because they were at least able to reduce the goal difference. It's true, this had no effect at all on the outcome of this match.

However, Rennes actually has a better performance compared to Lyon, in the last 5 matches in all competitions, Rennes has not lost. So it's natural that Rennes is able to maintain its consistency. Referring to the statistics of the match, basically the two teams were evenly matched from a technical perspective. It's just that because Lyon conceded in the middle of the first half, the intensity of their game was increased and they played quite aggressively. By controlling 63% ball possession, in the end Lyon was able to minimize their defeat.
Now the problem is, how Lyon must find ways and formulas to improve their performance and improve their defense or goalkeeper. The problem is, Lyon is the second team that has conceded the most goals besides Lorient. which means that if Lyon wants to avoid the relegation zone, they still have a chance to do so. After all, Lique 1 still has enough matches left to change. So, can Lyon do a good job in the next matches? if yes, they should be able to return to at least the safe zone.

With the performance I see tonight it's most likely Lyon may just get relegated by the end of this season because more losses only means set back and more points away from been able to get out of the relegation but if they were able to win todays game or even get a draw they would have still hope to definitely get out of relegation even if it's just a point above.

Lyon doesn't seem like a team that has got the potential to loose and probably bounce back anytime soon to their form as they should since they are having in mind to exit the temporary relegation on the table. Rennes is now currently at the ninth position on the table with twenty five points having won three games consecutively in their last five game where they lost and drew one each, we expected Lyon tho have shown better performance after have three consecutive wins before this games so they should have had better confidence and a good mentality to winning.

Lyon is gradually becoming a relegation team and I know for sure that they won't want that for themselves. Their recent games have been so poor on their side and it seems like there's a huge work to be done. They have over 20 games to go and they have to secure at least 40 points to be out of the relegation zone.
Hopefully, they'd be able to play well a bit, win some games and draw some and also avoid much losses too because every loss will affect their chance.

 Extra efforts and determination needs to be put to the team and they've got face the reality of the battle they've got at hand no laziness or backwardness should be entertained too. Their league is not so competitive and they normally themselves have the strength before now to compete. There's still high chance for them. Asides the 3 points being secured, the goal margin should be considered too as it plays it's own role in keeping a club at the top.

Real Madrid will be strong enough if they succeed in getting Mbappe's signature next season. Yes, in this season's transfer window an approach was made by Real Madrid to find a decision with Mbappe regarding their interest in signing Mbappe after his contract ends with PSG. I think the salary demands demanded by Mbappe are quite reasonable and Real Madrid really have to comply if they want to bring Mbappe to their squad. Mbappe is certainly needed by Real Madrid to fill the gap left by Benzema.

On the other hand, there are rumors that Real Madrid will let Vini go to recruit Mbappe. But I doubt that Real Madrid will let Vini go because so far Vini has appeared quite impressive with them. Apart from that, there is always drama in every time Real Madrid is associated with Mbappe. Mbappe will be a free transfer player at the end of this season so if Real Madrid don't immediately find an agreement with Mbappe, other teams will definitely be able to step over Real Madrid to get Mbappe.

Lyon is already 1-3 behind and the game has entered the 73th minute, I'm not sure they can turn things around and avoid defeat. In terms of the game, they were indeed able to dominate possession of the ball, but Rennes was already 2 goals ahead, of course they wanted to maintain their hopes of being able to steal points at Lyon home ground. Lyon in their last 3 matches they were able to win but in this match they were not able to play well in the first half.

Even so, there is still time for Lyon to reduce the gap and equalize. We see Sage starting to rotate players in the second half in order to support the performance of the front line to score goals. If we talk about relegation, I think Lyon can get out of the relegation zone this season because there are still many games left in this season.

Rennes looks much better prepared than Lyon in this match although Lyon's possession and chances are quite good but their defence is weak and easily infiltrated by a quick counterattack by Rennes.
The score is currently 1-3 because Lyon managed to reduce the gap in the second half but by looking at the time remaining at this time it seems that it will be very difficult for Lyon to turn things around because even though they are in control, the Rennes defence is very good in this match and Lyon's rhythm is quite bad even though they are superior in possession.

I was expecting strong win after having lost against Le Havre by big margin but after the end of the first half things are looking terrible, and they concede again three goals which mean now they have to score 4 goals if they want to come out of this dig out which is not easy because Rennes is doing impressive job in this match and now with this win they can extend their winning streak which will be three and chances are high for them to stay into better spot before end of this season.
Now as second half is in progress we are having 3–1 in favor of Rennes and need more improvement from the Lyon if they want to have better things in coming weeks.

This season, Lyon's performance has been quite surprising and not in a good way. From the start, I never expected them to play so poorly. I thought they would fix their mistakes early on, but it's shocking that they haven't improved yet. It's been disappointing to see a team with such a big name struggle so much. Lyon needs to be very cautious because if they don't improve, there's a risk of them getting relegated. It's really sad to witness a club with a great reputation performing so poorly. Hopefully, Lyon can turn things around soon and start playing much better to avoid any further difficulties in the season. The fans must be feeling quite upset about the team's current state, and it's essential for Lyon to address their issues and get back to their usual strong form.

Lyon is unrecognisable by their fans and rivals. They have a very bad record and they continue to play poorly. Taking 3 goals in the first half of the game against Rennes is beyond expectations.. Rennes aren't playing as good as they used to do in the previous seasons, yet they already scored three goals. They will be lucky if they avoid relegation this season.

Tomorrow, Nice should win against Metz but the most interesting match will be between Monaco (away) and Marseille (home). Odds are close with little advantage for the home team, yet I find Monaco better personally.

Losing everyday is part of the game, atleast these clubs are able to bounce back and reclaimed the necessary points accumulated, perhapes not everyone have the strength to maintain good standards food. Every club have the opportunity to either win or lose, this is a choice and we should make sure we're on the good path. Rennes whipping Lyon 3-0 and there's still enough game time. I only see an average Lyon performance against their mates club, they have failed to meet up the standards and hope of their supporters.

At least I hope Lyon can stay in Ligue 1 this season. In the remaining matches this season, Lyon must be able to get a minimum of 25 points to be positioned outside the relegation zone.
I am not a Lyon fan, but it is very unfortunate if a team as big as Lyon, which has a long history, has to play at a lower level.
Pierre Sage must be able to encourage Lyon players to perform at their best.

The fact that Lyon won three game recently is a confidence boost for them and looking at it form that light, you may definitely want to agree to the fact that they have better chances at winning this game because they will still be having that confidence in the fact that they will be able to win this fixture aswell just like they did with recent games.

The need to exit the relegation is enough drive for Lyon to strive to win this game because if they do they will definitely be  few points away from the relegation zone on the table which will means safety for them by the end of the season, the last time both team met rennais has won most of the time and in today's fixure it's sad how Lyon is loosing already as rennais is already three goals ahead which means they are winning todays game without much doubts.

He'll have to earn it, Yeah he's currently worth it but they want a good atmosphere for everyone right now playing for Real Madrid I love the strategy used by Real Madrid. Kylian Mbappe takes it or leave it, it's now his choice to make they have done more than enough to sign him up besides he shouldn't have said no and kept mute when they made approach to get him signed up.

He should go in and prove he's worth that amount, score 50+ goals and season for Real Madrid amd make sure they win the treble as well, is it too much of a difficult thing for him to do to earn his place.?!

Don't be too sure that Lyon will be relegated because in reality Lyon still has a chance to stay in Ligue 1 because the points gap in the lower zone also still has the opportunity to overtake each other . But regarding the Lyon v Rennes match, even though Lyon doesn't look like they have a good chance but ya,in reality Lyon also managed to beat Rennes in their first meeting against Rennes this season with a score of 0-1. Therefore, even though they is a very real difference in trends, but at least Lyon still has a chance and not completely lose easily because ya, basically Rennes is also a mediocre team . But, because at this moment Lyon is struggling in the relegation zone, that factor make Lyon looks like a team that is easy to beat even though in reality it is not easy at all.

In the midst of their downturn this season, Lyon managed to beat Monaco, which we know has much better performance, maybe this could be a consideration. But personally I would choose to avoid betting on their matches, because their reputation this season is very much at risk. Lyon ambition is to stay away from the degradation zone, in my opinion that's all. The match between Lyon and Rennes is actually difficult to predict, but Lyon gets a slight advantage because they play in front of their own supporters.

Having created consistency in three consecutive matches, and making us believe that they seem to have found the best form of their game, apparently Lyon lost their last match again last week to Le Havre. We'll see how Lyon performs in a few moments, an additional 3 points will keep them out of the degradation zone for a while.

18 matches have been played, but Lyon can only collect 16 points, what a disaster. Ligue 1 has 18 more matches left, if it doesn't improve immediately then Lyon will almost certainly be dropped from the Ligue 1.

I can't understand why still people think Lyon's chance for winning this match is high and they can think about Lyon winning this match just because of the three games Lyon won recently while this team is still in the danger zone and they are even about to get relegated at the end of this season while Rennais had much better performance than Lyon and they are in the much better situation than Lyon but that's weird t see even the odds for Rennais is close to Lyon.

It is true that the performance of the  Lyon team is weak, but I see no reason  to think that the performance of Rennes  is too strong. The Rennes team  is also not in good form this season. Out of 18 matches, Rennes won 5 matches and Lyon won 4 matches. The conditions of the two teams are very similar.

Lyon won the last two matches played against Rennes. So  maybe Lyon players will be confident in this  match. But I'd say Lyon have no  chance of winning unless their defense improves. Lyon's  defense is very weak. The defenders must  play well if they want to score points  in this match. But I think  this match is going to be a draw. Both teams will be happy to get 1 point.

I admit that Mbappe is one of the great players at the moment, even in league 1. Mbappe is the best player currently on the PSG team and regarding his future I have a slightly interesting question.
does Mbappe really think about his career? or will you only think about a big salary?
if he really thinks about his career, he has a good choice to choose to go to Real Madrid to get extraordinary experience in bigger competitions and win the UCL title but that doesn't mean Real Madrid will spend a lot of money just for 1 player and on the one hand when Mbappe contract expires Madrid doesn't need to spend a lot of money to redeem him.
however, if Mbappe is thinking about money, maybe staying at PSG will be the best choice because PSG will continue to increase Mbappe salary if he accepts the offer of a contract extension.

IMO, Mbappe will patiently wait until his contract expires and will go to Real Madrid and his efforts to stay at PSG are just to avoid drama that will happen again like last season.

Winning is a dead option for Olympique Lyon if they want to get out of the relegation zone, if they win this match, they will immediately jump to 12th place.

But is that possible? not that easy, Rennes have a good record recently and of course they come to add to their string of positive results. Rather than betting on the over, I think this match will end with (U) 2.5 goals. Apart from (U) 2.5 goals, I also prefer handicap betting and choose Lyon.
