Because from the start the strategy that PSG implemented was a mistake. We know from the beginning they only try to recruit big players no matter whether the player is almost out of his prime or not they don't pay attention to that the most important thing is that they only recruit players with big names even though they are very old.
Some purchases like Messi or even Sergio even though it is good enough to boost their name when talking about popularity but in the end they are not able to take PSG in a better direction because if it is only at the level of ligue 1 alone it proves that their achievements are very stagnant because they seem to look great for the quality of players but in terms of performance they are very weak.
This is difficult to change because they are always eager to do it every season. Currently the Enrique era is a little more different because the current priority is more directed towards young players even though until now it has not been seen but significant changes by eliminating players who are no longer able to contribute more because of age problems I think it can be a good start but it is also still not fully realized properly because there is definitely a process that must be done.

It looks like PSG can have a lot of goals in this match because there is still a lot of time left in the second half. The match has entered the 67th minute where PSG is already leading this match with a score of 0-5. the opponent Revel where they were not able to play well at all in this match where they had to defend as best as possible from the pressure put on by PSG. Mbappe has recorded 3 goals, aka hat tricks, in this match and it is very likely that he will score again because he is in his best form in today match.

Apart from that, PSG is very strong compared to their opponents in today match, so it is not surprising that Mbappe et al managed to destroy Revel defense line in today match. For now, I think Luis Enrique can give playing time to their second layer of players because they are safe enough by leading the match with a 5 goal lead.

I watched the Paris Saint Germaine away game at Revel today in the French Cup and all I can say it that the French champions were rampant in their demolition of the home side. It was one of the easiest wins of the club in recent time as Paris Saint Germaine scored four goals in the first half of the game to take total control of the game.
Kylian Mbappe the club's most clinical player in recent years on e again rose up to the occasion to deliver a man of the match performance as he scored three goals in the game. From what I've seen from Paris Saint Germaine this season, I think they're gonna win all the trophies in France but it'll be better if they can still do that in the UEFA champions league competition

Well Luis Enrique hasn’t been able to instill his discipline on thie PSG team because if you notice they still all let it at the Mercy of Kylian. Not as if it’s bad but what happens when Kylian isn’t up and shining in the match, then the whole team suffers it. Well luckily he tops the goal chart of the league dues to his teammates support. Luis should try and work on others players because they still got some potentials and those potentials will be needed when Mbappe leaves the club.

 Well he’s rebuilding but he should learn to builf with young players than depending on Mbappe, yes they’re not champions League ready but I know they’ll still retain the Ligue 1 but they should try to build up this team for bigger challenges. PSG is not a mediocre team, they should be competing and challenging other top European teams for the UCL trophy, therefore I think the board still got lots of work to do in building this team to be champions league ready.

The Champions League competition hasn't even started yet, we never know which team will win the competition. currently Enrique is building his squad, starting with young players. moreover, there are rumors that Mbappe will leave after his contract ends. so, Enrique's job is to maximize his players and develop every talent that PSG players have. this season, I'm sure that Enrique is not targeting the Champions League trophy. as an experienced coach, and also very familiar with the atmosphere of the Champions League, he is well aware that targeting the Champions League trophy is something that will be very difficult to achieve with the current condition of the squad. so they are not aiming for the Champions League, but maybe only this season. maybe next summer, after PSG is better prepared, they will also bring in established players to achieve what they are targeting.

Today in the match of the Coupe de France, PSG's players shows a great dominance. The opposition is naturally quite weak compared to PSG. So I thought Luis Enrique might give his second line players a chance in this match. But he didn't do that. PSG players dominated from the start of the match.

PSG players had 78% of the ball possession in the first half. They managed to make a total of 15 shots, out of which 7 were on target. And the important thing is that PSG team lead by 4-0 goals in the first half. And Mbappe scored another goal at the beginning of the second half. Mbappe scored the goal from Marco Asensio's pass. Mbappe has already scored three goals. Asensio has one goal and two assists. Carlos Soler had two assists. PSG won today's match by 7/8 goals, but it is not surprising.

I also think that Mbappe is in his last year at Paris Saint-Germain FC, because if he wanted to extend his contract he would have done it by now. He will probably go to Real Madrid, the club he loved as a child. That's why Real Madrid probably didn't sign a striker this season after Benzema left the team. But whatever happens, Paris Saint-Germain FC will remain the favorite in the French Ligue 1. Because they are a good team even without Mbappe. We can never predict the future, but I agree with your other statements that their best opportunities are past. Messi, Neymar, Mbappe, are the three best names playing in one lineup, they should be able to present PSG with the UCL trophy. In short, PSG has not been lucky even though they have a number of stars in their squad, their bargaining value is no better than other favorite teams such as Madrid, Man City or Bayern Munchen.

I also feel that PSG was lucky to be able to qualify for the knockout rounds thanks to the goal difference with Milan, it's no wonder that Enrique squad is not really taken into account this season. However, seeing that their next opponent is Real Sociedad, there is hope that they can finish the match by beating the Spanish representatives and advancing to the quarter-finals. Regarding Mbappe, it seems his future is still full of speculation between staying and moving, in my opinion it would be better for PSG management to let him go.

There is one thing I hope we get wrong here. I agree that they are not an elite team, but I am a big fan of Mbappe and every time I watch him play I wish he finally decides to leave PSG and play for a club that can make it very far in the Champions League.

A player of his calibre should regularly be present at least in the semifinals of the Champions League. It is too bad if he gets knocked out in the first round of the knockout rounds. It's a loss for the game as nobody is as explosive as he is. If he takes his opponent to 1 vs. 1 duels, it's just amazing.

It begins with the definition of an elite team. You could take any other sport and then the best player you know from that sport, then imagine that this player would from now on only play against opponents that are 50% of his quality only. I think the performance would decline as this best player would lose the feeling for what it is like to compete with the best. It is very hard to get an idea about one's own performance when you are not competing with the best. That is the problem PSG has. They are an elite team competing with underdogs 95% of the time in a season.

It will be really difficult for PSG to be superior in the champions league because it's very competitive even much more than their domestic league so much they will really not find it much easier because it's a different pattern as compared to that which they are used to in the Ligue 1. If the Ligue 1 was an elite league then maybe it would have helped PSG cope with other competitive leagues.

Ligue 1 has always been an easy to win league for PSG so they usually don't have much issues winning the Ligue 1 title, they literally won the title over eight times in a roll which affirms their dominance in the Ligue 1 over the years so definitely at this point the champions league is the main goal for PSG as they have gotten too used to winning the Ligue and most probably will want to have a feel of a different elite league and that has been why they have continually invest in the team with the hope of been able to win the trophy some day.

That's the reality but yes, I just don't understand how an elite team like PSG still always fails in the Champions League. Because after all, PSG basically has good resources that can provide good results in the Champion League too. But yes, the reality is that PSG still always fails, even with the top players in PSG's main squad the reality is that PSG is only elite in the domestic league and not in the Champions League.

Considering such problems then yes, it is clearly a deep disappointment experienced by PSG. Moreover, the issue of Mbappe's departure is increasingly strong popping up in the media too, I can only imagine if PSG will be weak if for example Mbappe really leaves. Therefore, I think at this moment PSG is really still in a difficult situation, because PSG does not have a young squad for the better long term.

Since 2011 that Qatar Sports Investments took the ownership of Paris Saint Germaine, they've grown to become the overall best French club in that same period and have dominated the French domestic competitions but what they've failed to win for the club fans is the UEFA champions league trophy. The closest they came to lifting the UEFA champions league trophy was in the 2020 final that they played against Bayern Munich which they unfortunately lost.

The club management since they took over the club, have been able to invest hugely into the club by signing high profile players into the club with the aim of helping the club win the UEFA champions league trophy but they're yet to win it despite all the efforts of the club's management. Luis Enrique who is their current manager is one man that has already won the trophy in the past and I hope he helps the club to their first ever UCL title this season.

I think they lack both the drive and the mentality. I don't think PSG  has any real fanbase, to be honest. Considering their performance in this season, they are not going to win it either. I mean they were already struggling in the group stage and there were chances they would have been eliminated even in the gameday of the group stage of Champions League. They barely won their last match there.

Winning the Champions League title is now very difficult for PSG. I don't even think PSG is the favorite for the Champions League. Because Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Inter Milan are now much better than PSG. The PSG team is pretty stable right now. Still, we don't know if PSG have the ability to survive in a competitive venue like the Champions League. At least this team's performance in the group stage was not good enough. PSG will face Real Sociedad in the knockout round. Even if they win in the round of 16, I highly doubt that PSG can win against stronger teams in the quarter-finals or semi-finals.

Indeed, PSG performance in the Champions League group stage was not impressive, they managed to qualify for the next round perhaps because of luck. So we all doubt that PSG will win the trophy in that biggest competition in Europa, besides that there are big teams which have big possibility of winning the trophy, such as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
I think if PSG gets the UCL trophy this season, I think Mbappe will stay but if not, then Mbappe will leave and joined to a big team that has a lot of experience like Real Madrid.

PSG just can't be a winner team in the Champions League no matter what they do. I think that their biggest chance was the time with Messi and Neymar being in the squad. They created a great trio in the attacking line but even this wasn't enough to win a single Champions League title. Because Neymar was injured mostly and Mbappe - Messi duo was also not enough to win a title there.

Now in this season PSG's chance is much lower due to their performance until now. The group stage was horrible for them but somehow they made it to last 16.

Mbappe is in his last year at PSG so in case of not winning a Champions League title once again I wonder what his final decision to leave or stay will be. 

Going to the semi final can be considered as a great achievement for PSG. I think enrique didn't even put a high target for the current season. PSG will always be having chances to participate in UCL. The point is the club is just trying to play and they were not caring so much with the result.
Enrique is not also having a very big target that would be only give him burden. The ambition to get UCL is still there, but it was not as strong as before. PSG needs to realize that building the club from the bottom is a key to win UCL.

Pep has been doing it for years till finally won UCL last season. This is going to be a challenging journey for Enrique, as he will have to overcome numerous obstacles along the way. PSG is not as strong as bayern and real madrid. I believe the chance is far lower for this club to take UCL trophy.
The club has spent billions of money but they were not still able to win the trophy. The ambition will make PSG lose its control over the performance of the club. PSG needs to slowly building the momentum to make it happen.

This is going to be the last season of mbappe in PSG and i hope he will be lucky enough to go to the semi final.

This has been seen for a long time at PSG, where they can only be competitive in Ligue 1 and will not be strong enough in the Champions League, so until now PSG has not tasted the sweetness of the Champions League trophy. And this season won't be much different because PSG might only be able to get a trophy in Ligue 1 and won't get a trophy in the Champions League because there are many teams that are more favored in the Champions League this season, but for PSG it looks like it will be difficult to be superior.
