I don't know what's happening in the French League but many French teams that were at the top of the league are performing weak and Nice is one of them while their recent loss was unbelievable for me.
Monaco is another example of a team having bad performance against weaker teams they even started falling when Monaco lost the game to Lyon while Lyon was losing any game in the French league and it was a shame for Monaco to lose the game against Lyon even after that match they lost more games and 5-2 lose to PSG was another example of bad performance from Monaco. It seems Enrique is happy to see this situation in the other teams.
 

It's a surprise that I don't even believe Lyon can beat Monaco because Lyon has played quite badly this season. But that assumption was wrong because when they faced a highly ranked team Lyon were able to improve their game balance for the better and that was quite an impressive turnaround from what they had done in the previous match. Winning with a score of 1-0 is quite good considering that Monaco has performed better than them this season. Statistically the hosts played well in this match but they were unable to beat Lyon in this match. We saw that Monaco recorded 19 shots but none of them managed to become a goal. They really didn't have a way to score a goal in this match. Lyon in the last two matches was able to win and it seems like Lyon are improving their match for get 3 points to get out of the relegation zone.

We saw Monaco fail this week and also Nice fail in the match against Le Havre. So it's a good opportunity for PSG to win this week match and widen the points gap with the teams below them. Psg will face Losc in tomorrow match, of course PSG has a pretty good advantage in this match because PSG dominated the victory in their meeting with Losc. But the away match will be a little difficult for them but their strength is certainly stronger compared to losc so Luis Enrique can make the best use of this match to find 3 points.

That is a shocking result to happen when Monaco themself wanted to close points gap to the top of the table, but it appear to be PSG having a great opportunity to widen the gap at the top of the league. I think this happened because of condescending attitude played by Monaco. They are supposed to be one of the strongest rivals to PSG for the league title this season that had been showing promising performances in the start of the season.

Lyon's win not only boosts their morale but also shows their fans that they have a hope to climb out of relegation zone. The Monaco's loss provides big impact on Monaco's title aspirations. It hits their mentality badly with the reality that they have to see PSG who is superior to them could walk the league alone. This situation is unforeseen and disappointing for their fans who have invested their hope to challenge for the league tittle once again.

I think this result was surprising for anyone who could predict this match in the French league because Le Havrein is totally unknown team and I was not even expecting to see them in the middle side of the table considering the players and coaches they have in the team but so far Le Havrein had a good performance and even against a team like Nice, Le Havrein won the game with a 3-1 result which awesome for this team.
Because Nice is the second team in the French league and obviously Nice losing this match made PSG happy.

I personally was really surprised and disappointed at the results of this game between Nice and Le Havre. Nice this season has been in a very good and somehow excellent form such that they topped the league table at a time and I least expected they will loose to Le Havrein this match, not only did they lose but with a good margin which showed a clear defeat.

Le Havre did performed well even with the red card they had they were able to win and I must say their home advantage was such they they did used well enough and it did turned out I'm their favour so I would say it was a deserving win for Le Havre, if Nice continues I'm this form they will further drop points and will not make it any longer to the top four, they have dropped some point already by this match and I think from this match it showed that they have some defensive challenge which they have to fix if they must be able to reduce further conceding of goals in their subsequent fixtures in the Ligue 1 games this season.

On the one hand, in the French League, PSG always dominates in first place. And there is no opponent yet who can compete with him optimally. However, on the other hand, the French league is quite surprising if you look at the various matches between other clubs. Apart from Monaco's failure against Lyon, it also turned out that Nice's failure against La Havre was even worse than Monaco. Even Nice fell behind from the start, from the 5th minute, they conceded a surprising goal and only scored in injury time. Not only that, both of them seemed to be playing quite hard, there were big cards in each team, but unfortunately Nice still couldn't optimize it until the match ended. Even though they were quite dominating from the start. Luckily, Monaco also lost so Nice remained at number 2 in the standing table of the French League.

Monaco who many believes are gonna be one of the strongest rivals of Paris Saint Germaine for the French Ligue 1 title this season surprising lost at home today against a struggling Lyon in game many had predicted that hosts were gonna win comfortably. Considering the performance of Monaco since the start of the season, I was of the opinion that Monaco will not struggle in the game to grab all three points but little did I know that Lyon came with another plan to make sure they win the game. The defeat now leaves Monaco gives Paris Saint Germaine a good chance of further extending their lead at the top of the league standings.

In a game that saw both teams receive red cards, second placed Nice also lost to Le Havre in another surprise result in the league today and I think all these results will help PSG increase their point difference at top of the league of they can be able to win their game against Lille tomorrow.

In the French ligue 1, there are teams that are ranked as good, better and best. Outside the fact that they do their best to ensure clear points, they still strive to reduce loss to big teams. Havre backs confidently more on home advantages and they make good use of this advantage. They're not much of a tough team in the league but they can try their best to cut the wings of threatening teams.

 They have a lot to play for even if not for either the UCL or UEL, or even a qualification spot, they play to keep being in the main league and also maximize the players' quality and ability and boost the team's strength and confidence too. I await their game outcomes from now till the end of the season and also love to  see the position they'd finish at, however PSG still remains the potential winners of the league this season.

Lens - Reims game has been going on quite interestingly. Reims have had a bigger xG than their opponent so far however Lens are leading by 1-0 now. Actually there is a goal disallowed for Reims side first due to offside. Otherwise things could have been different now. I like the game the manager Will Still makes his players play so I don't expect them to give up easily.

After getting eliminated from the Champions League and moving on with the Europa League Lens had better be focused on the Ligue 1 even more. They couldn't start the season well but now they can still fight for top 4 for a chance to rejoin the Champions League.

That's the problem with all these average clubs they will perform very well at the beginning till a certain stage they will start flopping and giving the bigger teams edge to have control of the league and continuously dominate the league like Nice would have had the chance to close the gap with PSG but yet they lost such a crucial match to Le havre.

Yes, Nice defeat was quite worse result because they couldn't maintain their good record in conceding of goals. Francesco Farioli as head coach will not be happy with this result, because with this defeat maybe Nice weakness are now exposed. Of course PSG will be very comfortable in the top position, because their two competitors are not get a good results. But in my opinion if both team Nice and Monaco win this week, PSG will always be ready to stay away.

As already discussed here many times we have French league very unpredictable and anything can happen which can create interesting changes so we have in last two days big upsets happen first Monaco lost against bottom side Lyon at home and today another big team Nice which is currently at the third spot lost their match by big margin against newly promoted side Le Havre even both losers are going to stay at their spots, but now next half of this season is going to be interesting because we have few teams which ready for fight to take top spots from them and this will create good entertainment for the soccer fans.

Now we have Lens and Marseille back into business if these both clubs won their matches then points difference will be cut, and we will have interesting situation tomorrow we have another big match which is going to play between Lille vs PSG.

Lol, Nice and Monaco both got defeated this week and perhaps, Nice got the worse result too. Because yes, that Nice has so far at least managed not to concede a high number of goals. But yes, it seems that Nice's defense cannot maintain this record, because in this match Nice lost 3-1 by the promotion team Le Havre.

With results like this then yes, of course PSG will become stronger at the top of the Ligue 1 standings according to considerations at this moment. But yes, regarding bad defeats, at least Monaco and Nice both got bad defeats too. Because after all, Monaco also lost at home by Lyon who was in the relegation zone and yes, Nice became the next top team to lose big by the promotion team Le Havre.

I never expected Lyon to beat Monaco at home. Monaco is a more established side with some of the best players in the Ligue One but we saw Nice defending very well and getting the winning goal in the 84th minutes. If Lyon can continue with this winning mentality for the next three games they will be heading out of the relegation zone. It will be a disaster for Lyon to go to relegation because the club has a good history both in League One and Champions League.  A game that Monaco dominated in terms of shots on target and possession, but they defended very well and took the few chances they had to get a goal.

Monaco lost an opportunity to close the gap on Nice and PSG. But such results are what makes a league interesting because matches are becoming unpredictable. Pierre Sage seems to be doing a good job since the sack of Fabio Grosso and I just hope the former academy coach will at least bring the club out of the relegation zone.

In the end, Nice was defeated by a promoted team, even with a fairly large score, Nice was unable to beat Le Harve. even though Nice actually controlled the game, and even technically Nice was superior to the home team in this match. however, of the 13 total shots, 4 were on target, only one of which they converted into a goal, and that too was a consolation goal in the minutes before the game ended. Nice's problem is not because the coach has not found an ideal system or even an effective strategy, but because the quality of Nice's strikers cannot be relied on. Honestly, I don't mean to underestimate Nice, but the fact is that they don't have a sharp striker to be their mainstay up front. as we can see, from the 16 matches played by Nice, they were only able to score 17 goals. It could be said that Nice is only able to score 1 goal per match. although in reality, this is not the case. IMO, what differentiates the Nice squad is because their defensive line plays quite disciplined. and at the same time, Nice was able to win the match even though they only scored one goal. In this match, what the Nice coach implemented did not run smoothly. In fact, the home team played more with the old pattern, namely 4-4-2. In short, this system is more about playing defense and only relying on counter attacks. It was proven that Le Havre only had 38% ball possession, but they had 3 counter attacks, 3 shots from the counter attack and 1 chance from the counter attack which they converted into a goal. It seems that the quick surprise goal scored by the home team made Nice more open to playing to catch up. unfortunately, the home team increased their lead and in the end Nice fell with a score of 3-1. and yeah, as I often say. If in the end, Nice will experience a decline in performance in the following matches. fortunately, Monaco was defeated by Lyon. if not, Nice will have to be willing to shift their position. With this result, it opens up an opportunity for Lille to reduce the difference in points and get closer if they win their 17th match. however, the team they were playing against was Paris Sain-Germain. well, let's just wait.

Lyon getting two wins in a row was crucial for them, if they didn't then they would be 7 points right now, instead they are at 13 and they are doing fine, they are at playoff spot right now with same point as out of relegation zone as well. I do feel sad for Monaco to not get the win they really needed, but I am quite happy that Lyon got the win, because I do want to see that team stay in the league, seeing Lyon relegated is not that easy, it is not that fine neither, it is really a sad situation.

I mean it is not like sure thing now, they still have a chance to drop, the league still has so many games left and we could definitely see them lose more games and end up going down, but demotion is not something I would expect from them and I think it is important to keep them going. I understand life is not that simple and I understand that it will be a bit tougher to handle, but as long as they can keep doing it, I believe that we are going to be fine.

Two good back to back wins for Lyon surely good news in this win now just because of these win they are having 16th spot in league table with mostly they were at rock bottom and things were going from bad to worse day by day now their fans are waiting for their next match against Nantes which will play at home and if they win this surely they could be on right way, and also they can jump out of the relegation zone for the first time in this season hopefully now their internal problems ended, and they will be done better in coming matches which will bring better results and improve confidence level of players as well which are currently having huge pressure and trying to do better things for this legendary French club.

Glad Lyon finally managed to get 3 points against Monaco who are in the top three of the current Ligue 1 standings, of course with this success Lyon will really be able to survive in Ligue 1 and will not be relegated. Even though this match Monaco basically has better statistics but ya, unfortunately, Monaco was not successful enough to beat Lyon in this home match for Monaco.

After all, even though if for example Monaco managed to win this match but ya, I personally still believe that there is no team in Ligue 1 that is capable of taking over the top position of Ligue 1 standings from PSG. Because ya, there is no team in Ligue 1 that has as much consistency as PSG and therefore, the result of Monaco being defeated by Lyon is also proof that it is difficult to be consistent in Ligue 1.

Monaco was in control in this match and the goal that Lyon created was actually an accident that Lyon could not anticipate because in the end it was precisely with Monaco who focused on attacking especially for this crucial time that made them  lose momentum  and instead had to be willing to lose with a thin score at the crucial time.
Lyon were smart enough in this match because they realized that if they tried to do  the match by forcing to play to keep up then they would be troubled to face Monaco so they look for other condition by continuing to force defensive and waiting for the momentum they had to counterattack.

With this situation Monaco  failed to get closer because by losing point this week indirectly this giv  PSG more space and of course this can also be use by Nice to stay away even though so far in the first 10 minute we  saw that Nice missed with 1 Le Harve goal in the first 5 minute.   

It was a very surprising result. I think this will be a win for Monaco because Lyon is in poor form. But this result dispels my doubts that Lyon will become more confident and will manage to get out of the relegation zone at the end of the season. And for Monaco, this defeat means they are now 6 points behind PSG. But at least they still have a big chance of securing a place in the Champions League next season.
