Finally, Lyon has found a new coach to replace Laurent Blanc and he is Fabio Grosso. An agreement has been reached between the two parties since last night and now all that remains is to take care of several important documents to complete it. John Textor as one of Lyon's shareholders played an important role in bringing in Fabio Grosso and I think it was quite the right decision for Lyon to choose him.

Currently, Fabio Grosso is managing the Serie A promotion team, namely Frosinone, and perhaps with this consideration, Lyon is very confident in choosing him as the new coach for this season. Fabio Grosso's professional football career is also very good, previously he also played for Inter, Juventus, and now he has returned to Lyon as a coach because in 2007 he also played for Lyon. We hope that the arrival of Fabio Grosso can provide good results for Lyon and can return to a better position in the standings.
Fabio Grosso arrival at Lyon could be a good start or something the same when I see this coach is not very experienced in history but the strategy he has is always right and this is what Lyon needs to rise from this downturn. and I also think that if Fabio Grosso fails to provide improvement to the Lyon team, it means the problem is not with the coach but with the players who are not contributing enough in every match.

maybe I can not wait to see Fabio Grosso contribution at Lyon and I will also see how the two parties perform between the coach and the Lyon players. If it looks like the players do not have high cooperation thats the problem and Fabio Grosso job is to change the playing style of the Lyon players this season to continue secure victory rather than being in the relegation zone.
It is true that in his capacity as a coach Fabio Grosso's experience is still very limited, but thanks to his expertise he managed to bring one of the Italian teams to promotion to the main league. Maybe we can't have higher expectations for him and at least we have to follow his development first when he is inaugurated as Lyon coach. I think that if Lyon stays in the relegation zone for a long time it is unlikely and it is likely that we will see them finish in mid-table again this season. However, Fabio Grosso and his players must first match their chemistry, strategy and coordination in the match.

The problem in this case is that we are too focused on blaming players and the reason for the not-so-good relationship between players is always used as a strong reason for PSG's performance which tends to be standard and nothing special last season. But on the other hand we never delve further into how the coach and staff are.

If PSG really wants to develop more rapidly, it is not only players who must be their main focus in evaluation. Even though players are one of the scourges that must be maintained, but furthermore there are staff and coaches and officials at PSG who must also be improved.
The star players even if gathered the results will not have too much impact if their club management is bad and something like this has always happened in the previous few seasons where their luxurious squad seems useless because the club management is not really able to use it as well as possible.
It think I concour to your statement because most times the players are not to take all the blames for their poor performance and good relationships among themselves on and off the pitch, it's the managers duty to put his team in other when things are not going the right way, and if he's not able to handle the dressing room situation it's best he seek help from higher administratives and when they fail to tackle the situation in most cases it might mean the club's administration is poorly run, but in the case of PSG they might not be poorly run but the manager failed to put his team in other and allowed the top players decision to be more influencive on the pitch most times, that's why you'll see players like Mbappe being self with passes when they got a chance to score.
But I believe this new coach is more better and very experienced so situations like that would be difficult for him to handle because he's coached some big teams with top players in  th team and would know how to tackle situations as such

you are right Despite PSG's squad having plenty of star players, their performances were poor. This is because there was not a good relationship between the players. Mbappe's relationship with Messi and Neymar was not good. Also Mbappe played selfishly. Because of these reasons, the coach failed to bring stability to PSG's performance. But now Luis Enrique is not interested in spending too much money. He first wants to create a good match strategy, and strengthen the bond between the players. Luis Enrique will then look to improve his squad's capabilities as the players bond. Will strengthen the squad by adding star players to the squad.

I would not say that Mbappe - Messi - Neymar performance was poor as they had combined 90 scorer points in Ligue 1. I guess it will be hard to find another attacking trio with 90 scorer points in a season in the league only. That's without Coup de France and without the Champions League. But they have still lost too many games and I think conceded too many goals as a top team.
They made it not by themselves but by cooperating with other team mates. They scored, won and lost together with their team mates. They are biggest star players in football and in their club last season but they did not achieve anything in a single match or a season only by themselves without support from team mates.

I read some news that those star players were not happy in PSG, Messi and Neymar already left. Even Mbappe who was forced to stay in PSG, looks like is not happy in this season too. PSG have something wrong to deeply reconsider about themselves as they must know if they fail to provide their players best environment, best mood, they will not be able to do best contributions for the whole team.

In the game against Bayern Munich in the Champions League round of 16 PSG almost didn't have a chance despite all the star players. The difference in their performances was unexpected and must have also been disappointing for everyone who was looking forward to PSG delivering some nice games. I guess this season won't be any different.
That match sucks because star players of PSG look like youth players and suddenly became harmless when facing with experienced Bayern Munich. Their mentality was not improved but actually became worse after their final match in Champions League four seasons ago.

Of course the Champions League title is the ultimate goal for PSG. It was the same for Manchester City as well and they finally made it. But their team performance really deserved to win that title. However we haven't been able to watch a good level of team performance by PSG consistently. This is why they are even having big issues to getting close to the finale.

There is a big difference between City and PSG in the stability of the team, City have kept the squard stable all these years, only making small changes, they had one coach and one strategy. But in PSG everything is constantly changing, every year everything is new, every year a new coach, every year a new strategy, new players, it seems to me that in this case it is simply impossible to win the Champions League.
I think it is the management of the club by the management and top brass that makes this happen, it is difficult to get a coach to stay at the club longer if there is constant pressure. The owner of the PSG Club seems to want instant results to realize his ambitions, regardless of how much budget is spent. What is surprising is that recent player transfer policies and their efforts to retain star players at the club have also received criticism.

In line with your opinion, with a culture of changing coaches, it is difficult for PSG to realize its ambition to win the Champions League trophy. PSG should learn from Man City in this matter, and hopefully Enrique can become a regional leader at PSG.

The main problem for PSG to not getting good results in the past was mostly because of the unbalanced team they had, PSG had the best forwards however there was a negative atmosphere in the teams but they had the best forwards and they didn't get good results because in the other positions, and especially in the defensive line they didn't have good player, I think this teams still don't have good defender and you can see this problem when they are going to play in the Champions League against strongest teams.
Although PSG bought quality players, they could not keep the atmosphere in the dressing room normal. PSG's dressing room was always hot. In the beginning, Neymar and Mbappe had a good relationship, but later on, a lot of distance between the two stars developed. Then when Messi was brought into the team, Mbappe created a distance with Messi as a result of which bad results in the performance of the field were a regular occurrence. The club suffered due to poor relations between the players. Despite investing so much money behind the players, their achievements were meager. PSG failed there before they should have normalized the situation in the dressing room before investing so much money behind the players.

PSG couldn't achieve anything in the Champions League when they had Mbappe, Messi and Neymar... I don't think they'll have a chance this season... Probably the main thing for them will be to concentrate on Ligue 1 to become champions again... But now they are already in second place, having won only two games out of four...

Even though PSG don't has a very good and strong performance this season if they to be the winner Champions League then there is little chance of PSG reaching the final because in League 1 alone PSG experienced a significant decline in performance and they seemed to improved when some time ago Mbappe took part down into the field.
The quarter-finals may be PSG last achievement in the Champions League this season and even then there is only a small chance of reaching the quarter-finals, just as an assessment last season when PSG still had great players in their squad they couldn't last long in the Champions League then this season they lost several of these players so that the possibility of survival was increasingly closed.

Instead of chasing the Champions League which PSG cannot necessarily control it is better to focus on League 1 and become champions again then for next season improve the line-up of players in the transfer window and start to focus again on the Champions League because if it is like now they can only rely on Mbappe it is still easy to get knocked out of the League and will only make the game in League 1 worse.

@Hirose Uk if PSG want to win the champions league then they need a coach like Klopp or Pep because only these two can discipline the squad and help the player’s to buy in their winning mentality. Also for this season they won’t be winning the champions league and they’ll definitely be crashing out earlier because they’re not united and their overall performance hasn’t been great so far.

Finally, Lyon has found a new coach to replace Laurent Blanc and he is Fabio Grosso. An agreement has been reached between the two parties since last night and now all that remains is to take care of several important documents to complete it. I didn't expect Lyon owner will hire Fabio Grosso as the replacement of Laurent Blanc because previously there were several names who being an the candidates even Lyon has been thinking to hire Genarro Gattuso but apparently they have been decided that Fabio Grosso will be the next manager of Lyon and before train this team Fabio Grosso is Frosinone manager and he has been successfully to bringing Frosinone to being an Serie B champion and promote to Serie A and during trained by Grosso Frosinone has been change became an the team with strong defense this could be a good achievement because he can build Frosinone without spend a lot of money but Grosso had hard task because he have to bringing Lyon to avoiding relegated zone and it won't be easy especially Grosso lack of experience to train the team from outside Italy

The difference between PSG and Manchester City is that the City owner is more patient and gives Pep Guardiola the opportunity to build his team to the expected target, at least when City still changed coaches they were only successful domestically but when they consistently kept Pep Guardiola as head coach then it was slow but Certainly this club is one to be reckoned with in European competition when they failed to Chelsea several years ago in the final, Sheikh Mansour did not change coaches and retaining Pep was one of the keys to their success in achieving the most difficult target to achieve.
With Luiz Enrique in the current position as PSG coach, it will be a question of whether PSG will be patient enough to wait for the Spanish coach to turn PSG into an even stronger team and Mbappe's departure will not destroy the rhythm of play that Enrique has provided, without patience PSG will only domestic success alone and continuing to change coaches will make it difficult for them to achieve the expected targets namely the champions league title.

Last season PSG had sharp players up front, but they were weak in the midfield sector. both attacking midfielders and defensive midfielders. which in the end this team is not balanced. plus, spiced with conflict drama in the dressing room.
Now under Luis Enrique, at least PSG is better. Even though their front line is not as sharp as last season, they now have a fairly competitive squad. Unfortunately, this season PSG again needs a creative attacking midfielder. and unfortunately, they were unable to bring in Bernardo Silva, who was part of the team's need to become more competitive. In defense PSG has some good players, at least better than last season.

To find out more, let's just follow Luis Enrique's squad playing match after match. For the Champions League, don't expect too much from this club. but at least, they have a chance to qualify for the next round. Let's just see what PSG shows at the moment, because after all Paris Saint-Germain is not yet ideal as Enrique had hoped. At least, Enrique needs time to bring PSG to the level he wants. In the following matches, it will be a challenge for Enrique and his squad. especially in the champions league, how far PSG will go.

When you have a team like PSG, it's hard to have a defense. Why? Because other teams usually close down, which means that they will be defending with at least 7-8 players, maybe who knows it could be more, I have seen all 11 players at their own half as well.

This means that you can't just attack with 3-4 players, that's not going to be enough and that's going to cause you some troubles, so you are going to end up putting all of your 10 players in there passing trying to find an open pass to shoot. This means that your defenders needs to come all the way up to the half way line, and that means when there is a counter attack you need to be incredibly fast to defend that player and try to stop them, it's a tough job.

It is a problem that is likely to persist. It could turn out that their defense needs some time to perform well together, but I doubt that they are better this season than last season. But it will still be enough to win Ligue 1, which is really just a standard goal they should and must have as PSG. I don't know how much more expensive their squad is, but it would be a shame if they didn't win the league in the end. But the trophy they really want is the Champions League and Mbappe won't be enough to win it.
[/quote]
I don't think the prime target of the current Paris Saint Germaine club is to win the French Ligue 1 that they've won all but two in the last 10 years. They owners of the club has heavily invested in the club since they took over the ownership of PSG and wants to experience the feeling that comes with winning the UEFA Champions League competition.
If for any reason they fail to win the competition this season, they'll see it as another season that they've failed to get their top target.
