It will be pretty hard for Luis Enrique to actually be able to fix the issues that the coaches before him have actually created. They have a good attacking line, or I think I should say “Had” a good attacking line.

Right now, everyone is very eager to leave PSG. They do not want to be on the team anymore because they have realized that it is not going to get them anywhere. Ligue 1 title is not one of the biggest titles in the world, to be honest.

And if you are actually a player of PSG, I do not think that this title actually holds any value for you. With the amount of money PSG has, they are supposed to win this title. There is no fun in doing anything if it is not competitive. And where it is actually competitive, in the Champions League, PSG cannot do anything, to be honest.
I don't think Mauricio Pochettino and the previous coaches can be immediately blamed, because each coach has his own history. for now it is Luis Enrique who is fully responsible for PSG situation, I think Enrique already understood and agreed to the various consequences before signing the cooperation contract with PSG to become a coach. On the other hand, PSG management's decision to place Mbappe above other players is the source of the problem, Mbappe recently lost in the number of votes for PSG new captain.

True for Domestic League competitions in Europe, Ligue 1 occupies position number 5 after EPL, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga. Another fact is that Mbappe would be called the best striker when playing in the EPL, because it is more competitive compared to Ligue 1.

It's high time the club knows what they need and go for it, they can't keep signing frontlines without scanning the backlines, how these roles operates. The defenders are not fully positioned to win games, rather they keep making blunders that cost them to concede goals in league games. PSG coach, Luis Enrique should make more signings this season, in full focus on the defend and midfield, because that's where their problem originates from. PSG have missed out on big names this season, players that would have secured an easy win for the parisians have already exited the club.
I also see that problem in every season at PSG and it hasn't been resolved until this season so the advice you give is actually also more appropriate for PSG because they need to be able to focus on bringing in better players in midfield and defense. This was also revealed when PSG's front line became unproductive in scoring goals when there were no players who were good at providing passes from the back or midfield. So the PSG team must also be stronger on two lines that have not been their focus so far.
If that's the case, then I think PSG and Enrique should be able to focus more on their midfielders. Because at least, if they have good midfielders it will support PSG attack performance and defense performance to be better. So yes, as a renowned coach, it is appropriate for Enrique to realize the problems that occur at PSG. Because of course, if the problems experienced by PSG can be overcome quickly, then PSG will also be able to recover quickly of course this season and that is also a hope at this moment.

PSG have a lot of players in their squad. They have 7 attacking players in the squad, with a possible total of 12 midfielders. Even so, PSG's squad is weak. PSG pays high wages to players. PSG management should reduce their number of players. Reducing the number of players to keep essential and talented players in the squad. Despite having so many midfielders and strikers, we did not get a good performance from PSG. Luis Enrique should build a stable squad. PSG is the richest club. I think Luis Enrique will have the opportunity to build the squad as he wants. This season Enrique should have added his preferred players to the squad and sold additional players.

The lineup that a club must have is the balance between positions in the game, be it defense, midfield, or attack. They can't keep strengthening their attack, but they forget to strengthen the depth of the midfield and backline. They also can't focus on one position at the back, but forget about the attack. because it would also be useless if they are good at defense but they can't create goals. I have seen this problem for years in Paris Saint Germain, strangely they don't seem to realize that it is their weakness.

I think with the arrival of Luis Enrique, the situation is going to get better for PSG. We have seen the previous coaches actually depend on the attacking lineup, a little too much to be honest.

But I know that Luis Enrique is a better coach. And I definitely believe he’s going to make a balanced squad, instead of just reinforcing the attacking lineup. He had a lot of success with Barcelona previously. I think if he is given enough time and money, he will definitely be able to bring good results. PSG do not have any problem with Money. I just hope that they will give the coach enough time.
I have no doubts about Enrique, and I agree that he needs time to create a good balance in the squad. We have to learn from clubs that keep their coaches for a long time, they also look bad at first, but slowly get better. But that's also not a guarantee that given a long chance the coach will be able to improve, it still has to be seen from the process. I mean when a club wants to keep a coach for a long time they have to see the definite progress that the coach shows.

Neymar was good when he was on the field and played, but his instability in terms of readiness was a big minus. As for Messi, I have a different opinion - I think that he was pulling the team down. Statistically, "he passed and was helpful" but at what cost? Other players also make passes, but they are also involved in pressing and defending. Who is better - who made 20 passes but because of him there were dips in the center of the field or the one who made 10 passes but at the same time the center of the field was cemented? I think most coaches will choose the second option.

That is an interesting and rare point of view, but you are free to have your opinion of course. Wink I think 99% of coaches would immediately choose Messi over anyone else. Everyone knows that Messi isn't doing any work defensively, but the same counts for most players that are similar to him. Mbappe isn't working defensively, Ronaldo the same. Neymar rarely did it. It also comes at a cost when players like Messi are also supposed to work for the defense. The dips in the center aren't because Messi is focusing on the offense. It is because PSG's midfield wasn't good enough. Can't remember that Barcelona was a bad team because Messi weakened the midfield.

Yes, yes, in words, all the coaches (I believe you) would choose Messi. However, in actual actions, everything was somewhat different - even Guardiola (who in words is just a fanatic of Messi) came up with excuses for many years in a row when he was asked about the transfer of Messi to City  Grin
Failures in the center arose, of course, not only due to the fact that Messi did not work in defense, but also due to the fact that he did not move much, plus, probably, he began to lose speed with age. In fact now he is a very technical but slow player who is only good in some aspects. That is why he turned out to be of no use to anyone in Europe and ended his career here.

Messi, Neymar and also Mbappe are the 3 front lines owned by PSG, these three players when they are on the field and are already holding the ball to attack the opponent's defense it can be very easy to produce a goal for PSG.
Now Neymar will only play to keep up with the game of his club mates and cannot dominate a good game like last season because I am sure his club mates will not be able to follow how Mbappe plays.

But this seems to be the last season for Mbappe with PSG and whether Mbappe will be played or not, it is clear that Mbappe is fed up with all this where he is no longer considered a core player for PSG.
I think that for next season Mbappe will definitely have a club that he deserves.
I also think so, Mbappe now has to fight alone on the front lines after being left by his partner Messi and also Neymar, surely this will be very hard for Mbappe and of course if PSG's performance does not improve, the player wants to move to another team, especially Mbappe is a player the target of many top European teams.
If you look at the current composition of PSG's players, there are not so many players who are of quality or equal to Mbappe's quality, so it is very likely that this team's performance was not much better last season.
Of course Mbappe will never be able to do it if he has to fight to the fullest individually because playing football is very important when can play in good collaboration with your club mates.
If PSG's condition like this lasts for a long time and no improvement efforts are made, such as bringing in a great attacking player as Mbappe's partner to score goals and strengthen PSG in the forward position, then you can be sure that Mbappe will really issue an expression to be able to leave from PSG and playing with other bigger and stronger European clubs.

I'm not sure that PSG will be able to win the Ligue 1 title again this season and if you look at PSG's development, it seems that there is no new breakthrough to be able to create club conditions like last season which were strong enough to win Ligue 1.
At the beginning of this season the top 3 clubs last season experienced a decline in performance and the middle to lower clubs actually looked very impressive.

What are your predicting with Ligue 1 have more competitive in season 2023/24 after PSG faced winning difficult from last two matches? actually many people opinion is early eliminated PSG from winning race because they have been success dominance in Ligue 1 for last several years, but PSG have bad start in Ligue 1 after two draw from two matches and they have got two points right now. Badly with PSG attacking line they can't scoring goal through game open play and one goal from last match against Toulouse from penalty kick.

Upcoming match, PSG against Lens are in the bad performance after success finish on 2nd standings last season but get difficult for winning in this season, will AS Monaco with perfect result from two matches dominance for Ligue 1 season 2023/24 or PSG will back to usual 1st standings place?
Firstly, these are still the first two matches and it is only a matter of time until the time comes for PSG to dominate Ligue 1 again. PSG is building a new squad this season and with a new coach there will certainly be a few obstacles that have prevented them from winning in the previous two matches. I think they will get back to winning ways for sure.

Regarding the match against Lens, actually for this match I didn't expect much and it's possible that PSG will again experience difficulties but it must be admitted that Lens is also not as good as at the start of last season, so I think these two teams are still evenly matched. Well, for Monaco maybe they have dominated quite a bit so far but I think they will be like last season towards the middle of the season, they will probably experience more inconsistency.
Exactly @rendravolt it's only a matter of time before PSG starts dominating the league again, and since they're building a new team it would take a while before they adapt into the system and become very dominant again, what fans needs to the worried about is their performance in the Champions league, because that's what they need mostly and they've been chasing the trophy for years and had even recruited the best players around the world in previous season but to no avail.
It think you're right and they would face difficulties winning lens, bit I expect them to win the match, lens are yet to win a match in their last 5 previous matches including the pre-season matches, and even started the season with a draw against Rennes and that's one thing PSG should capitalise on, the PSG squad looks great and they've introduced talented players though they still need time to understand themselves and start winning matches again therefore I think they'll play better than the previous match and score more goals against Lens hopefully Mbappe would get  brace.

Ligue 1 has just started, we still have a long wait to find out which team will be a strong candidate to win this competition trophy. but it's true, PSG's performance in the two matches was not satisfactory. the problem is they weren't able to score many goals or wins, even though Luis Enrique's squad didn't actually play with bad performance. and once again I say, the problem is they are not able to score goals. As for the goals scored, from the penalty spot. but after all this is just the beginning, let's see how these teams compete for trophies this season.
If PSG in the next few matches there is no change, moreover they are not able to win game after game. then, Luis Enrique was in trouble. but I think we'll see first, after all there are still 30+ matches that must be played by every team competing in this league including Paris Saint-Germain.

well, let's just wait when PSG host Lens this week, Lens was able to compete tightly and was only 1 point away. Interestingly, these two teams are not performing well. so, both teams will both target victory in the match later.
As for Manaco, they started the competition by winning 2 wins. if they are consistent until the end of the season, Monaco has a chance to break PSG's dominance. but after all, this league competition still has a lot of matches remaining.

Luis Enrique didn't have a good line-up in his first two matches in Ligue 1. PSG lost Messi, Neymar and Mbappe in the first game, while Mbappe and Dembele weren't really able to make much of a difference in the second game. PSG failed to win in these two matches because they lacked many things. PSG need creative midfielders, while they also need better defenders.

So far I don't understand why PSG prefer to sign strikers instead of midfielders. Even if they have a good midfielder then their game will get better throughout the season. PSG must bring in midfielders of the caliber of Bernardo Silva, De Bruyne or Ilkay Gundogan, Kroos and Modric, but so far they have not met that criteria from their midfielders.

There were mistakes in the defensive zone last year as well. PSG had a lot of trouble in this regard. I think Enrique should consider transfers in these regions. The forward line may be very good, but it doesn't matter if you score. That's why defense is so important.

RC lens is trying to recruit sanchez since he was leaving from marseille with gree agent. I knew that if sanchez is willing to comeback again in serie a but the chance is quite small at this moment. I expect sanchez to took lens's offer as an alternative offer for him.
He has been linked to the barcelona as well.

Quote
According to Mohamed Toubache-Ter, RC Lens made an attempt to sign Alexis Sánchez (34), who is a free agent since the expiry of his contract at Olympique de Marseille. Sánchez had a successful debut season with Marseille. In 35 Ligue 1 games, the Chilean forward scored 14 goals, however, his contract was not renewed, and he is now available on a free transfer. Following Loïs Openda’s departure, Lens were in the market for a forward, and according to Toubache-Ter, the club attempted to sign Sánchez.
Source
I understand if sanchez never thought to play on league 1 but lens is also good enough to continue his career. His chance to join in serie a is quite small at this moment. He has been linked to the intermilan. Sanchez's impressive performance with Marseille has made Lens consider him as the most suitable replacement for Openda, who has departed to another club. Lens in the needs of new striker right now. The club shall able to get one before the end of transfer season.

The time is going even closer to the end of summer transfer market. Lens needs to do something to secure his service. Sanchez will able to compete with mbappe in league 1. I hope he will consider lens's offer.

I have seen this problem for years in Paris Saint Germain, strangely they don't seem to realize that it is their weakness.

Their idea has obviously been to win the games by scoring three more goals than the opponent, so be it 4-1 or 5-2, it doesn't matter. But the thing is that this works against weak or average teams, but it doesn't work in the Champions League and that's where they tried it again and again with the same strategy, losing the games mostly because of problems they had already encountered before.

If the line-up includes Mbappe, Messi and Neymar, it should immediately be noted that this comes at a cost. Having one player in the team who doesn't support the defense can be ok, Having two of them is already bad for the team's balance and having three of them, well... That is too much.

Now PSG had this short period of time when everyone thought they would win every game with ease because of their attack line, but it wasn't the case. I am really curious to see what their vision is for the mid-term now.

Because if he wants Real Madrid they can surely offer the same contract to him as well. When he leaves I can't imagine how it would affect PSG for now.
Real madrid only wants him as free agent. Madrid never ever interested in buying him from PSG with non sense price. As you can see that even PSG is still struggling in scoring the goal with mbappe on its squad.

I see that PSG are really having serious problems on scoring goals without Mbappe. Messi and Neymar have left in the same transfer window and we have a much more different attacking line ahead. While Mbappe also doesn't play it is just an attacking line with new players all. There will even be a need for more time to see that trio playing together better.

Even if they don't manage to convince Mbappe to stay for longer they should still have him on the pitch as long as possible. Because until the new players adapt to the team they will really need Mbappe to be able to be productive at scoring goals. This was their second draw in second league match.

Yes indeed, at this moment even though Mbappe is still in the PSG squad but the fact is, PSG is still difficult to score goals. But, is this because Enrique is currently carrying out several strategic experiments or indeed, Enrique still hasn't found a suitable strategy for PSG. Because it seems that this poor performance has also been seen from before the season started or from several friendly matches. With such poor results, of course, Enrique really has to be able to put in a better strategy by involving Mbappe in the main role.
if you look from my point of view, I do not see PSG having trouble scoring even though 2 matches ended in a draw but indeed this is a normal condition because every coach needs the best strategy and reads what opportunities should be added to the strategy and also we know if Enrique is that a new coach still needs a lot of time to understand the character of one player to another so as a PSG fan you have to be able to understand this situation.
and for yesterday last match Mbappe also performed well because he was a savior to get 1 score and also the defensive line players had good strength to hold opposing players from scoring again.

The problem is that the reshuffling and changing of plans from looking for players who are old enough to be finished and this season replacing them with some young players has made their attacking line problematic.
After trying to find and overhaul the defense then this will also have problems in every line.
It may get better for some time but it also has to be accompanied by good training and currently PSG is still struggling in that regard too.
PSG really has problems on every front whether it is from the players or the coach.

This was also revealed when PSG's front line became unproductive in scoring goals when there were no players who were good at providing passes from the back or midfield. So the PSG team must also be stronger on two lines that have not been their focus so far.

At the end of last season, the PSG team was in disarray. At the end of the 22-23 season, a significant number of the team's players had already left the club and PSG had appointed a new manager. It would not be wrong to call PSG a new team at the moment, the new manager is trying to reshape the team after taking charge of the team. PSG's main problems until last season were their defense and their midfield. PSG could have done better long ago if they had strengthened their midfield and defense earlier but they failed to do so. Luis Enrique is currently in charge of PSG so he will definitely want to strengthen the team from defense to forward. If Luis Enritte is given financial freedom, he can definitely turn this team into a strong team.

@Litzki1990 PSG player’s were distracted due to the Mbappe saga and many didn’t even want him to come back but yet he’s back and it clearly divided the team hence they’re underperforming. Lastly with the transfer window about to close I doubt that PSG will be able to buy any new player’s now but I won’t be surprised if Mbappe departs to Real Madrid.

PSG have always had a strong midfield, and at the moment there are no big changes in this line, I would say that PSG did not have any problems with the middle line. But at the moment, PSG have problems with the attack line, even in the last matches where Mbappe either did not play at all, or went out in the second half, they could hardly score a goal, so at the moment the biggest problem for PSG is precisely the line of attack.
