I don't think PSG would be very weak in Messi's absence for one match. They are still advantageous for the league championship a lot and they should be going for it anyway. I'm aware of their unbalanced results and performances but they are still PSG. It isn't easy for any other team to compete with PSG at the same level now. But Galtier must be going away from this team by the end of the season anyway though.

In case of seeing Messi and Neymar both leaving in the summer it will be a big renovation process for PSG. Because it won't be easy to catch the same kind of chemistry with some other players and Mbappe. Right now these three players have a great understanding of each other. The only problem is actually with the management style of the players.

I read the news about Messi trip to Saudi Arabia and I was thinking about three things
First, is he doing this for fun and tourism purpose or he is promoting tourism in Saudi Arabia, which is the main purpose in my opinion.
Second, is that a familial trip or a business trip or both? I mean is he discussing a contract with a Saudi team?
Third, is PSG aware of that trip and the answer wasn't late for that question Roll Eyes
i think he traveled to saudi arabia in the context of promoting tourism in saudi arabia but it's a bit strange also where he is still needed in the team but he made the trip which got him punished for his indiscipline. Therefore, PSG must be able to overcome the gaps in the front lines due to Messi absence in the next two matches. I don't think PSG will waste the opportunity to win this season.

There are 5 more matches left where they can lock the title in the next 4 matches if they can win all the matches. I think psg is still pretty safe for now, they have mbappe for the current situation.

I'm sure Messi got enough money after he traveled to Saudi Arabia. I mean there should be a benefit for him when he goes to another country, otherwise, what is the reason for him to travel this long distance. Traveling famous people to other countries can have benefits for that country and they can have tourists because of that, On the other hand, PSG was right to be unhappy about this travel because this can make Messi lose focus in the next games.

This is very interesting. Because if you have seen there have been some rumours linking Messi with a Saudi Arabian team. Those rumours are saying like a Saudi Arabian team is ready to offer Messi a huge deal of money similar to the one Ronaldo got. I assume that team is Al-Nassr again. They would like to see these superstars in the same team to make their fans happy at the same time.
Some rumors really make it big and big, moreover after this news. Well, of Messi is no longer in PSG, well, will the rumor be true that he will go to Saudi football club? I don't think it will be. He may go to still in the Europe or even get retires in the very right time.
But, if he really wants to go to Saudi, it wil be very interesting because it seem slike a reunion..

PSG suspended Lionel Messi for two weeks, this was because Messi made an unauthorized trip. Maybe if we look at Messi's latest posts on his personal Instagram, he is promoting tourism in Saudi Arabia and it seems he did not get permission from PSG regarding the trip. Obviously this is not a great example for one of the best players in the world and it's only natural that PSG would impose this punishment on Messi. With this, Messi will not be able to strengthen PSG for the next two weeks and obviously this will make it more difficult for PSG to defend the Ligue 1 title without Messi in the next match.

Good joke  Grin I think the absence of a pedestrian, on the contrary, will strengthen PSG, since someone who will at least run will play in his position.
And by the way, the news followed that PSG would not renew the contract with Messi (although this was hardly news to anyone).
Well, actually Messi failed at PSG and now it will be interesting to see if he makes another try or retires (MLS/Saudi Arabia/etc).

It is now clear that Lionel Messi will not be in PSG next season. Messi has always been a humble and law-abiding player so I am surprised he acted this way. The player has won everything now he is focused on making more money for his retirement. The suspension or even fine will not affect the player because it seems he has made up his mind to leave the French giants and the money he has made from the commercial trip will cover the fine.

PSG should be careful because they are not yet the League One champion, five points is nothing compared to the number of games that are remaining. It also seems that PSG is now willing to let the world's best player leave they want to rebuild the team around younger players. They will have to rely solely on Mbappe for the matches against Troyes and Ajaccio.

However it is still very early to make sure about something of course. For now Messi just looks like he needs some more time to think about his future. He is most likely to be free agent this summer as well. I don't feel like his journey in Europe has ended yet. He would still prioritize a return to his old team Barcelona. Xavi would surely leave the door open for Messi's coming back but it depends on Barcelona's decision. If we see some financial hindrances then I think he would rather play for PSG instead of leaving Europe this summer.

Lens has a strong squad at the end of the league,

Lens should win tonight, Toulouse does not have much to play for since they are far from relegation and too low to have any European cup chances

nevertheless, five points at the top that PSG have over Marseille abd Lens should be sufficient to see them getting the trophy, alhought they are playing as they do not want to get it
fight for direct placement in CL is real, since both Marseille and Lens will have troubles to qualify for group stage in case they finish as third

Having a bad season is not really an end deal, it's not going to matter that much, I can't really see that as a big problem at this moment. I understand that people may act as if that's a trouble like they are losing, but they are the first in the league so why would it matter if the season is "bad" for their own level. If they end the league with 1 point more than the next team and become champions, that is good enough and nothing else changes.

I feel like winning by 20 points would be good at look, but the end result doesn't really change. However, they seriously need to change the midfield, it has been talked about for many years now, not just one or two, it has been talked about for multiple seasons and they still haven't done anything.

PSG are still 5 points in advance of Marseille with only 5 games left. The games left for PSG are easy so I assume they could win most of them. Marseille have matches vs Lens and Lille that will be challenging so the poursuit will not be easy at all.
Marseille have to win especially their game vs Lens to somehow secure the other Champions League spot, that's the important thing to achieve for them.

Five points is not too much especially when you think PSG had unstable results and lose many points in the games they normally should win, I think still there is a higher chance for PSG to lose points in the fine remaining games and Marseille can even use the chance to even win the title in this season, if that happens this can be a nightmare for PSG because they spend lots of money and they got nothing in the end.
This season in the French League has turned out to be an interesting one and the race goes on until the end of the season, unlike in the past. But I think the difference of 5 points is significant for Marseille. For PSG, the remaining matches will not be as difficult as for Marseille, who will have to play against Lille and Lens. PSG are likely to be champions again this season.
The French league has been running quite fiercely until the final match of the season, PSG, even though it has many star players in its team, is not so terrible for the participants in the French league, just yesterday, PSG, at the end of the season, could still be beaten by the Loreient team with a score of 3-1 , is an achievement for Lorient topple the leader of the standings. Even though in the future PSG will not have such a significant opponent going forward I think it is possible that PSG will have the same mistake against Lorient yesterday.

So far this season, the reality is that Lens has more often drawn draws when Lens is playing away, but for the match that will start soon it looks like Lens still has a good chance of winning. Because the opponent Lens faced in this match was Toulouse and in fact, Toulouse did not have a good record when Toulouse played against Lens.

Also, in their first match or their first meeting of the season that Lens managed to beat Toulouse with a very good score with a score of 3-0. But yes, if I still attribute Lens' performance so far this season to away matches, then at least this away match looks like Lens might still win but not with a big score like before.
Lens has a strong squad at the end of the league, Franck Haise brings Lens to be even better. I think so too, it should be an easy game for Lens to get the full three points to catch Marseille and in second place and betting that Merseille will lose to catch up.

This difference is even bigger in my opinion.
There will certainly be those who disagree with this but on the other hand, we also know that even though the conditions of PSG are different from last season, they are still PSG.
The condition of players who are far from the quality of other clubs, solid finances and some facilities guarantee that they remain a team that is difficult to pursue for other clubs.
Now it's 5 points but that doesn't prove that other clubs can compete just because PSG can't do the same as last season and nothing more.

Marseille continued their pursuit of PSG by winning 2-1 after losing the first half. Although they had plenty of shots in the first half, they couldn't get a shot on goal. For this reason, they conceded a goal on the first shot on goal. In the second half, Marseille increased the pressure and scored one goal after another.
PSG, on the other hand, suffered a 3-1 defeat at home against Lorient. Of course, Hakimi's red card played a big part in this. He left his team down to 10 men in the very early minutes and actually changed the fate of the match. Lorient, on the other hand, made the most of it and took the 3 points.

Maybe I'm just warning PSG if they can't be consistent in winning then Marseille's chances of winning Ligue 1 this season will open up. We both know that the 5-point advantage is still under PSG's control so far, but it depends on how this team performs in the future. It became quite clear for Marseille when they found out that the distance from PSG was not that far and that could be a good opportunity to overtake PSG in the standings.

For Monaco they are currently experiencing difficulties and of course the results they have achieved will not make their position to continue to be secure. Correcting mistakes is far better than letting it go for a long time and can end up fatally losing the place they should be able to defend. Lille will be the only disruptive team if Monaco can't be consistent next week.
PSG stats in their last five games in the league, LWWWL while Marseille stats is DDWWW. Superb competition from both clubs this season. Paris Saint German is one of the top club in league one and they're ranked first on the table with topping Marseille with just 5 points difference. Consistency is a big problem for the Parisians presently, they're not keeping on with straight winnings, losing their previous game against Lorient, is totally out of line for the club. Christophe Galtier should make his strategy effective in his next game, because in less than no time, Marseille will equal points with them.

Toulouse vs Lens

The winning result from Monaco has been makes Lens is very confident to faced this match and they have good opportunities to wided their points gap with the team below them Monaco but Toulouse too has been change became an tough team recently and their mentally were strong because they want to avoid relegation zone and besides that Toulouse has just made a history with beat Nantes in France cup and it makes they are the champion of 2023 for this competition

This is hard match for Lens and i know from positions Toulouse is far below them but Toulouse recent performance makes me doubt Lens can able to beat this team today especially Lens will not playing with full team because i saw some of players got injured such as Deiver Machado and Salis Abdul Samed who got suspension after received red card from the match against PSG and although Lens is the favourite but i was thinking Toulouse will not easily to beat and probably today Toulouse can surprising us and stole 1 point from this match and draw option has high odds @3.90

In this match, Lens needs full points to keep the distance from Marseille, which is 4 points behind. that means, Lens will aim to win over the home team. that way, Lens is only 1 point away from Marseille if he wins this match. the following week, Lens will meet against Marseille. the scenario is, Franck Haise will continue to try to bring his team to win the remaining match after match to chase an automatic ticket to the Champions League. especially in the previous week, Lens was able to overthrow AS Monaco with a landslide score of 3-0.

Meaning, Lens is in high confidence to come up with a slick performance. as for several injured players such as Wuilker, Jimmy Cabot, and Salis Andul Samed, it seems that it will not have a serious impact on their performance. after all, during the match against Monaco, these players were also absent in that match. for Deiver Machado, it looks like he has no problems with injuries and will most likely start this game.

As for Toulouse, the home team just won the Coupe de France final win over Nantes last Saturday. with this result, it seems that Toulouse has a strong drive and motivation to appear and provide fierce resistance to Lens in this match. so, it looks like the match will take place quite tough. referring to the available odds, it looks like betting on Lens is the ideal choice with odds @1.67. but to avoid risk I will bet on under 3 goals. I guess, the more ideal option.

Paris SG manages to maintain the 5 point difference and become the champion. It would not be correct to say that Marseille also achieved consistent results. In the last league match, they scored an important victory by scoring 2 goals in a row, but until that minute they were in a risky situation. If the same scenario happens in other matches, they may not be as lucky as in the Auxerre match. I think Paris SG will finish as champions again.

Paris St German toping of Ligue 1 and possibly becoming the Ligue 1 champions no longer interest me, with the kind of big name players  they got there Mbappe, Neymar and Messi they need not struggle for point to get that trophy, rather what they should be very much of concern is about them lifting the EUFA Champions League trophy. Is it not high time that PSG should graduate from becoming only league champions?, and put a smile on the faces of their fans /supporter by bringing home the European cup.
There are many shortcomings in their midfield including PSG's back line, that's why PSG needs to buy some new players to make it strong in the UCL next season, of course PSG has to make a major overhaul does not guarantee great players on their front line but can't qualify for the semifinals or the UCL final, I also hope that PSG will be able to overhaul everything including the coach for a better next season.

It's not surprising that PSG won the league this season because they are still safe from the pursuit of Marseille with a difference of 5 points even though they look close but it seems difficult for Marseille to snatch the league title from PSG's hands. considering that there are 5 remaining matches at the end of the season that must be passed and it is not easy for Marseille to wipe out all the remaining matches with a win.

In my opinion, even though Marseille is favored to win this match, seeing that their opponent is Auxerre, I was hesitant to place a bet and in the end I missed this bet. But congratulations for your bet, maybe the unexpected thing for me is that Auxerre can beat Marseille with a narrow score of 0-1 because we know Auxerre is an underdog but often makes it difficult for top teams. An additional three points for Marseille made their distance to PSG even closer and only 5 points different. I think Marseille could have replaced PSG, if PSG continued to be inconsistent like yesterday's match and often received defeats.
marseille can maximize the opportunity to stick to psg at the top of the standings. but i don't think they are strong enough to knock psg out of the title race this season. The distance of 5 points will be the capital for PSG to return to winning ways next week. For marseille the win from auxerre can be a big motivation for them to put pressure on psg. Marseille can expect PSG to be inconsistent for the rest of the season which will provide a great opportunity for them to break PSG's dominance in the race for the championship.

but unfortunately for Monaco they lost points in two matches which made their ranking in the standings quite vulnerable to being moved by Losc next week if they fail again in the upcoming match.
Maybe I'm just warning PSG if they can't be consistent in winning then Marseille's chances of winning Ligue 1 this season will open up. PSG are not champions yet, They are only 5 points ahead with 5 games remaining. Of course PSG have an easy schedule so Marseille and Lens face each other head-on. It would be funny if Marseille or Lens won this season.

In my view, PSG failed in the UCL and now legeu 1 is also not safe to become a champion. The real problem with PSG is that they have a group but no team. Paris had become too big a group of star players, a group where everyone was playing for their own glory. Besides, when a club puts the same amount of power on one of its players as PSG did on Mbappé, it can only hit a wall right away. The only way for PSG to be better next season is for the stars to tell them to leave.

Bookmakers think "a little" differently:

Paris Saint Germain 1.01

Olympique Marseille 51.00

Lance 101.00

In fact, 5 points advantage over a distance of 5 games is almost a decisive advantage even for two equal teams, and we all know that PSG is stronger than all the pursuers. But on the other hand, PSG have already unpleasantly surprised so many times this season that I would not bet that they would win Ligue 1, even if the odds were 1.1.
